Ahoy!
It's with pleasure that we announce the launch of the new Ahoy website. The new website provides many new ways to learn about and support the project, and we hope to expand the website further in the future as the development of Ahoy progresses.

Whats New?
FAQ
The main thing I want to draw attention to is the reworked FAQ. This is now the best place to get answers about the project, and it is possible to share these FAQ questions with people by clicking the 'copy to clipboard' button on each question, making it a lot easier to share existing knowledge about the project.
The FAQ Is broken down into several areas covering different aspects of the game (Both planned Arena and the Persistent World releases), the release and DLC policies, how donations work, and so on.
Contributions
Website/PayPal based donation is now live.
Contribution via the website, rather than Patreon, provides the project with more of the funds you donate. Patreon takes a pretty large 8% of your donation, while PayPal only charges transaction fees.
Additionally, this introduces the "Lifetime Platinum" donation tier. It's much like Platinum on Patreon, except once someone has donated over £400 GBP via the website/PayPal (489 USD / 453 EUR), they receive the benefits of Platinum for the duration of the time we're running the donation scheme. It's intention is to reward those who choose to make larger contributions, or have contributed towards the project over a significant amount of time.
The progress to Lifetime Platinum can be seen on your account page, where a total of your contributions is shown, along with a contribution history. This is also where you can get information about donations if you need to contact us (hover over a historic donation entry to see it's "Donation ID" (next to the date!) so that we can help you with it more directly.
We have an FAQ section dedicated to donations here: https://ahoy.gg/faq#faq-0
Please contact us immediately via email (
) if you have any issues here as it's not been possible to test this privately with a significant number of users yet.
Account Page & Discord Verification
As mentioned above, the account page is now introduced.
You can view your account details here, but most importantly you can see your contribution history as well as link your Discord account.
Linking your discord account is necessary for your contribution badges to appear here in Discord. However, even if you don't contribute, you'll get a nice little "verified" badge next to your name anyway.
Notice
Please be aware that the website may be taken down at any moment if any significant issues are detected. This has been an enormous undertaking for me, and I am not a web developer any more by trade (My knowledge is easily 10 years out of date).
That being said, I hope the website provides a platform which can develop over time, along with the game. So while it is not necessarily perfect in many ways, it should form a nice basis to start with 🙂
As mentioned above, if you're experiencing ANY issues with the website that are serious (donations, account issues, etc.) please email us directly with as much information as possible (account name, email, donation ID, which device/browser you're using, etc. -
If you are just having visual errors or inconsistencies, or have feedback for the website, please join our Discord server and discuss it
here.
Feedback will be addressed based on perceived severity, but likely not until at least next week due to other pressing areas of the project.
MOBILE SUPPORT (particularly iOS)
Additionally, the mobile experience is probably not going to be ideal.
Contributions are not available via Mobile right now, and some styling is likely to be broken on iOS devices due to lack of access to these devices until very recently. This stuff will be fixed as and when they appear in the website feedback channel.
That's all for now.
Good day!
