Fortune Avenue in TWO Major Festivals + v0.49.0 Update

Here's something that doesn't happen every day: Fortune Avenue has been selected for two Steam festivals at the same time.

From March 9-16, you'll find us featured in both the #TurnBasedThursdayFest 2026 (one of the biggest turn-based game festivals) and the Wholesome Underdogs Festival.

And to celebrate? -40% off all week, plus the fresh v0.49.0 update (full details in separate announcement).

It's pretty rare for a game to fit into both categories, but Fortune Avenue somehow manages:

 • Turn-Based Strategy: Democratic voting, tactical property management, and every dice roll matters
 • Wholesome Indie: Made by one person (me), with love, coffee, and probably too many late nights

The big festivals recognized it. Now it's your turn.

Turn-based games have a reputation: slow, methodical, lots of waiting. Fortune Avenue flips that script:

 • Fast-paced turns: 15-30 minutes on small board, 45-60 on large
 • Every turn matters: Democratic rule voting every 12 rolls changes everything
 • No dead time: Helicopter eliminates stragglers, keeping the game tight
 • Strategic depth: 30+ votable rules, 100+ adaptive cards, progressive rent inflation

It's turn-based, but it moves.
Why Wholesome Underdogs Picked Fortune Avenue
Let's be real: I'm a solo developer competing against studios with actual budgets. No marketing team, no PR agency, just me trying to make something players genuinely enjoy.

Wholesome Underdogs celebrates exactly that: real indie developers making real indie games.

Fortune Avenue is the result of years of solo work, community feedback, and a stubborn refusal to compromise on what makes it fun. The fact that it's in Early Access isn't a warning—it's an invitation to help shape what it becomes.

Steam Workshop support? Coming. More themed boards? In the pipeline. Your feedback? Already shaping the roadmap.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone who's been part of the journey so far.

See you on the board,
Xavier aka Binogure

P.S. - If you're wondering: yes, you will still lose friends playing this. Some things never change.
