Beta test delayed and Apologize

Hi:

We regret to inform you that the Beta test of FSFR will be delayed due to the review.

Last Friday we announced that the FSFR Beta test would go live on 31 August and last for 2 weeks. This week we have been updating players on the progress of the review and explaining the force majeure that has caused the delay. But it goes without saying that I am largely responsible for the confusion and discomfort: over-optimistic expectations and misguided actions.

We underestimated the process and the time it would take to get the game live. First of all we didn't calculate precisely when the game would go live, and we released multiple game launch timelines without a reasonable explanation. Most of these were simply to complete the release process. These timing points created confusion among players about the game's release date. Secondly we did not correctly estimate the time it would take to review the game and allow enough of a buffer, resulting in a delayed release date. Most importantly we did not properly assess the enthusiasm and excitement of the players, we thought it was a good idea to start promoting the game before it was ready: the enthusiasm and anxiety of the players exceeded our expectations; we did not have enough experience and resources to promote the game; we thought we had enough time to learn by doing in a community environment we were not familiar with. I would like to thank the players who have contributed to the management of the community and to the promotion of the game, your help has meant a lot to us.

The release process is still ongoing and we will continue to push it and update our progress in real time, the duration of the beta and the official launch will be reconsidered to accommodate the latest plans. We have also started to update the game guide on Steam Community, which will provide more detailed content than the Weekly.These guides will be update continually.We've updated the Youtube video of the single player mode of the game (thanks to the programmer who recorded this video)

1.What‘s going on?Is beta testing delayed?
Unfortunately, yes. The beta version of the game was submitted for review on the 23rd on the 25th, but the steam staff still haven't provided us with the results (usually the review takes 2-3 working days, but they told us it would take an additional 3-5 working days and didn't tell us why)

2.Why not release the beta version on other platform?
It's an interesting idea, but since our user data is based on steam's user information, we can't bypass steam's review to release the game?

3.What are you doing during the release delay?
We tested servers from other suppliers to ensure a backup solution.

Anyway, the beta version is ready to go live, as soon as it passes review. We'll keep bothering steam staff to facilitate the review process (although it usually takes them 12 hours to respond to any messages ) and share the news with you.

Weekly4: Card System

By equipping cards, you can give your character a boost in stats and a variety of special abilities. Each card consists of a Primary-Attribute or Effect, and a Sub-Attribute or Effects. You can obtain the cards from completing matches, shop, and events reward.
Card Upgrade:
You can consume 6 cards of same Level, upgrade them to a higher level card (S Level cards cannot be upgraded). The main-attribute of the resulting card will be chosen randomly from the main-attribute of the consumed card.

*An attribute or efffect that suits you can often have a greater impact on the battlefield than a purely stats advantage.

Card Exchange:
You can consume 3 cards of same Level, exchange them to a same Level card with different main-attribute.

*When you consume S-Level Cards, there is a chance to get a dual-main-attribute card as result.

Q&A 2022/8/26

1. When will the Beta test start?
The beta version is ready and is being reviewed by the Steam staff. We will open the test server as soon as it is approved to be launched.(Expected to be on the 31st)

2. How long will the test server last?

About 2 weeks.

3. Will player be rewarded for playing in Beta test?

Yes, we have exclusive rewards for players who participate in the Beta test. We are also designing exclusive rewards for players who contribute to community management.

4. What can you tell us about the in-game network?

According to our tests so far, the game network experience in the server coverage area is fine. Network conditions may be affected by network service providers in different regions.

5. Will there be more servers for other area?
We will be making adjustments in this area based on the response to the beta test.

6. The previous version of FSF did little in guides and introduction about game details. Will there be improvement in these aspects in FSFR?
Yes, we've optimized the beginner guide, and we're working on a FSFR guide that will show more specific gameplay details. We will publish and constantly update it in community and the game.
