Slayer Update Announcement – Small Changes for Players, Deep Consideration

[p]Slayer Update Announcement – Small Changes for Players, Deep Consideration[/p][p]Hello,
This is the development team of Slayer: The Demon Haunted World.[/p][p]In this update, rather than adding flashy features, we have focused on changes that make your play smoother and more immersive—small but profound refinements.[/p][p]We hope that your journey up the dark tower of Slayer approaches you with a more refined rhythm, so we have carried out the following corrections and improvements:[/p][p]📌 Update Contents[/p]
• [p]Monster pathfinding error fix
We corrected the issue where monsters recognized pillars as ordinary objects and blocked their paths.
Now combat flow continues more naturally.[/p]
• [p]Shop added in Chapter 2
Finally, in Chapter 2 you can encounter new items and opportunities.
The play tempo and strategic breadth are expanded.[/p]
• [p]Level art improvements in Chapters 2 / 3
Visually reworked into clearer, more atmospheric spaces.
We hope this carefully refined change enriches the emotions within the game.[/p]
• [p]Exception handling for moving / rotating tiles
Prevented abnormal cases where monsters would stand on moving or rotating platforms, reducing unnecessary confusion.[/p]
• [p]Monster size & animation enhancements
Increased the size and added animations to some monsters that lacked presence.
They will now feel more threatening and intense.[/p]
• [p]Added 4 types of falling traps
Threats can now fall from above.
These new traps demand more careful timing and placement judgment.[/p]
• [p]Dungeon interior brightness adjustment
In response to feedback that it was too dark, we adjusted to slightly increase visibility.
May you find your path even in the darkness.[/p]
• [p]Added 2 new monsters (poison / firebomb throwers)
More varied threats are added to the battlefield.
Your movement, timing, and judgment must become more precise.[/p]
[p]This update maintains the fundamental philosophy of the game while finely adjusting player interaction, immersion, and the rhythm of combat.[/p][p]Your feedback strengthens the direction of Slayer.
We will continue to reward you with a game that is truly fun and thoughtfully deep.[/p][p]Thank you.

Slayer: The Demon Haunted World – Update Notice
Slayer: The Demon Haunted World – Update Notice
[p]Hello. This is the Slayer: The Demon Haunted World development team.[/p][p]In this update, we focused on adjusting elements related to mid-boss progression, projectile pattern correction, weapon visibility improvement, and stage event enhancements. These changes aim to improve combat flow and overall usability.[/p]

Update Details
• [p]Improved mid-boss re-entry path
Once players enter a mid-boss battle and clear it once, the entrance key will now respawn closer to the boss area for subsequent attempts.
Additionally, teleport points or shortcuts will now appear to reduce unnecessary travel time on retries.[/p]
• [p]1st Chapter mid-boss projectile skill pattern fix
We have corrected an issue where the projectile skill used by the first mid-boss in Chapter 1 would fly off at irregular angles.
It now fires at consistent angles, allowing players to more clearly anticipate and respond to attacks.[/p]
• [p]Player weapon size increased
The size of player-held weapons has been increased across the board.
This improves visual clarity of attack range and makes directional targeting easier to read during combat.[/p]
• [p]3-6 stage switch interaction camera update
In Chapter 3, Stage 6, a camera movement (Timeline) sequence has been added to show the position of the floor created through switch interaction.
This helps players clearly understand what was triggered and where the newly generated platform appears.[/p]

[p]We are always working to make Slayer a more refined and strategically engaging action experience.
Your feedback continues to guide us, and we remain committed to bringing you ongoing improvements and new content.[/p][p]Thank you.

Slayer: The Demon Haunted World – Update Details
Slayer: The Demon Haunted World – Update Details
[p]Hello,
This is the development team of Slayer: The Demon Haunted World.[/p][p]In this update, we focused on enhancing immersion through additional dialogue in the tutorial and world map, introduced two new items related to falling hazards, and rebalanced projectile DOT (damage-over-time) mechanics.[/p][p]Though this is a relatively small-scale patch, we consider it a meaningful step toward expanding what makes Slayer unique — offering strategic, high-tension gameplay experiences.[/p]

Patch Notes
[p]1. Added dialogue to the tutorial and world map[/p]
• [p]A new line of dialogue has been added to the guard at the end of the tutorial, offering a short in-universe guide before players move forward.[/p]
• [p]Additional guard NPCs at the sea gates on the world map now feature dialogue as well, adding atmosphere and narrative context to exploration.[/p]
[p]2. New Item: Wings of Salvation[/p]
• [p]To reduce the frustration caused by instant game-overs from falls, we’ve added the “Wings of Salvation” item.[/p]
• [p]If the player possesses this item, it automatically activates upon falling to restore them to their last position before the fall.[/p]
[p]3. New Item: Graven Sole[/p]
• [p]We’ve also added “Graven Sole,” which prevents all falls in the stage where it is used.[/p]
• [p]This item is particularly useful in maps with high verticality and will enable more strategic planning and survivability.[/p]
[p]4. Projectile DOT Damage Adjustment[/p]
• [p]We fixed an issue where projectile-based damage-over-time effects were applying lower-than-intended damage.[/p]
• [p]These values have now been corrected, and DOT-based skills and weapons will be more effective as a result.[/p]

Looking Ahead
[p]We continue to monitor gameplay feedback and data closely in our ongoing effort to improve the combat feel and overall immersion of Slayer.[/p][p]The highly anticipated Fallen Mode is actively in development.
It will introduce a fully restructured map, new enemies, expanded story branches, and high-difficulty content worthy of a major update.[/p][p]We are also preparing improvements to controls, new boss patterns, and expanded skill tree systems — all of which we’ll share more about in the near future.[/p]

[p]We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who continues to play and support Slayer.
Your feedback and encouragement are what drive us forward.
We are committed to making Slayer deeper, more polished, and more rewarding with every update.[/p][p]Thank you,
The Slayer: The Demon Haunted World Dev Team[/p]
