Game Demo Updated to Version 0.5.5

I did some work on a few of the later levels in the game. Nothing that will really effect the demo.

Game Demo Updated to Version 0.5.4

Changes include the following:

  • Fixed issue with Stamina
  • Fixed issue where pressing escape would complete a purchase
  • Fixed some quests that were not working correctly
  • Fixed issue with some missing textures
  • Campfires no longer allowed on wooden surfaces
  • Food now increases stamina more
  • New quests and NPCs added
  • Additional medicines added to apothecary


Game Demo Updated to Version 0.5.3

Changes include the following:

  • Fixed error where inventory selector for armor and weapons was showing incorrectly after reloading a game
  • Fixed sleep panel hiding the map
  • Character will now respawn on nearest island after getting defeated (instead of on first island)
  • New enemy (surprise!) sorry ... not in the demo
  • Maximum Stamina (effected by disease) now shows correctly in UI


Game Demo Updated to Version 0.5.2

This game has a lot of different quests that can effect things like how the player can interact with other things in the world. As such, it is easy to create conditions that can get the player stuck if I do not really think through all the different options and variables.

So I have been playing the game and finding bugs and minor ways to improve the game, as well as a few of these potential bad scenarios where the player can get caught. I have managed to mitigate a few of them, and it seems the game should be fully playable now without soft-locking the player in one place or another.

The only additional things that could effect the Demo version include the following:

  • Torches can now be found in barrels
  • Other "surprises" can also be found in some barrels
  • Campfires can again be set in dungeons (but tent cannot)

Lots of other fixes and new features, here is a summary:
  • Darkness no longer hides the map
  • No more digging up bridges
  • Campfires and tents are only usable on grass, earth and sand
  • Campfires and tents can no longer be placed on ships
  • Bandages, medicines and oil will check if they are actually needed before wasting a unit
  • Campfire light no longer leaks into lower levels
  • Selling an active torch should no longer cause weapon to turn dark
  • Players current stat points are now shown when training
  • Strafe keys will now work as right/left in menus
  • Keybinding has been updated - allows assigning arrow keys and more
  • Cut trees and dug holes are now preserved on save game (for current level only)
  • Some tiles were not allowing player to dig
