Dear Earthlings
It’s been a while since my last dev diary, and I'm excited to share the progress I’ve made. I’ve been hard at work refining the game mechanics and enhancing the user experience. The new art assets are taking shape, and the gameplay is becoming more engaging than ever. I've also implemented feedback from the community, making adjustments based on your suggestions. Additionally, I’m tackling some challenging bugs that popped up during testing.

Exploration Update
The planet terrain generator is functioning well, creating diverse and immersive landscapes for players to explore. This feature opens up exciting opportunities for unique environments, making each planet feel distinct and engaging.

I’ve also introduced a new object called the teleporter. This handy device allows players to teleport between different locations across the game universe, enhancing the exploration experience. By strategically placing teleporters on various planets, players can quickly traverse vast distances, enabling them to explore new areas without the hassle of long travel times. All other space locations have been completed, ensuring that there’s plenty to discover as you journey through the stars.

Currently, I’m focusing on quality-of-life improvements that will enhance the overall gameplay experience. These changes aim to streamline various aspects of the game, making it more intuitive and enjoyable for players. Notably, there will be significant updates to the editor and spaceship handling. These adjustments are designed to provide players with more control and flexibility, making it easier to customize their experience and navigate the game world.

In addition to these gameplay enhancements, I’m also dedicating time to clean up the project in the background. This effort is essential to optimize performance and ensure the game runs smoothly. By addressing any unnecessary code and assets, I can enhance the overall efficiency, leading to a better experience for players. A well-optimized game is crucial for maintaining engagement, especially as the complexity of the game increases.

I will try and drop the update before the Steam Winter Sale, so December 21st that is. I'll let you guys know if i reach that deadline in time or not!
