Omega Strikers - Season 5 Update | January 13th Patch Notes

Hello there my loyal Omega Strikers community!
Today we are happy to bring you the SEASON 5 PATCH!!! Yipee!
You know the drill by now - new season means new stuff: new battlepass levels, new balance changes, and a NEW SKIN REWARD for reaching Gold! Any guesses as to who it might be? (Hint, just scroll down the answer is in there.)

With all that being said, let us get into the dirty deets of this here patch I tell you what.

SEASON RESET
NEW SEASON! With Season 5, we’re resetting the ranks a bit (the same as last time). I’m also working on a way to try and get you to view your historical stats so you can look back on your past and reminisce on how you went crazy as Asher last season.

Ranked Rewards:
  • Aqua Cannon goal explosion
    • (This isn't a seasonal reward btw, this is a forever thing that you'll unlock once you hit challenger any time in the future.)
  • Top "x" titles
    • ex: Top 5, Top 10, Top 25, etc
  • Mako Recolor
    • “Sakura Mako”
    • For anyone who reaches Gold!
  • An emote for reaching Platinum
  • An emote for playing a bunch of games
    • 25 Ranked Games to be exact
  • New Battlepass Levels
    • Also please note that after a certain Battlepass level, you can no longer purchase additional levels with Ody points.
Most rewards will be based on your Season *Peak* rating, but the titles for "Top X%" will be based on your leaderboard position at the end of the season.

MAP ROTATION
I vow to never have Knife’s Edge and Ai.Mi’s app playable at the same time. Also shut up about Inky’s. I like that map and I’M THE BOSS.

STRIKERS
I’m going to be toning down Speed on a lot of things. It’s a very strong stat and has been steadily increased over the lifetime, resulting in like some “speed creep”. My hands can’t keep up anymore please help. [h3]Asher[/h3]She’s just been a little weak so Asher just gets a little buff.
  • Barrier Beam [PRIMARY]
    • Cooldown :: 9.5s → 9s
[h3]Ai.Mi[/h3]A nearly must-pick/ban Striker in high elos, Ai.Mi has been going kinda crazy everywhere else as well.
  • Cyber Swipe [SECONDARY]
    • Dash Range :: 600 → 550
    • Damage / Knockback :: 185 + 92.5 → 190 + 90%
[h3]Era[/h3]Era kinda fell to the wayside in all tiers. She’s not unreasonably weak but could use some love.
  • Bewitching Beam [PRIMARY]
    • Ally Power granted :: 70 → 75
    • Ally Size granted :: 50 → 35
    • Enemy Power Debuff :: 70% → 75%
    • Enemy Speed Debuff :: 20% → 25%
  • Flutter Fly [SECONDARY]
    • Cooldown :: 18s → 16s
    • Speed Boost:: 60% → 52.5%
[h3]Estelle[/h3]Kind of a sub-par midfielder and a sub-par goalie, Estelle gets a little tiny bit of love to bring her closer to her buddies.
  • Piercing Shot [PRIMARY]
    • Cooldown :: 10s → 9s
[h3]Juliette[/h3]Jules is preforming pretty well in all tiers, even after a nerf last patch. Just want to tone her down a little tiny bit more.
  • Fiery Fist [PRIMARY]
    • Damage / Knockback :: 145 + 72.5% → 145 + 72%
  • Flying Phoenix [SECONDARY]
    • Damage / Knockback :: 160 + 80% → 150 + 80%
[h3]Kai[/h3]Lowering Kai’s base speed but giving him a little more juice on his speed boost so he’s not flying around always and is instead only flying around sometimes.
  • Base Stats
    • Speed :: 475 → 465
  • Blazing Pace [SECONDARY]
    • Buff Duration :: 4s → 4.5s
[h3]Rune[/h3]I buffed Rune last patch and he went slightly overboard. Hehe my bad.
  • Banish [SPECIAL]
    • Damage / Knockback :: 270 + 135% → 270 + 130%
[h3]Vyce[/h3]Vyce is pretty near the bottom of performance in all tiers of play (but near the top in amount of people yapping about her being OP).
  • Thunderstruck [SECONDARY]
    • Cooldown :: 12s → 11s
    • Damage and Knockback :: 200 (+100%) → 200(+90%)
  • Powerchord [PRIMARY]
    • Enemy Speed Debuff :: 1s → 1.1s
AWAKENINGS
We’re kinda cooking with awakening rotation. I’ll keep an eye on it if anything gets too crazy too quickly.

[h3]Aerials[/h3]Moving some of the dash power to projectiles.
  • Dash/Blink/Haste Increase :: 80% → 75%
  • Projectile Range Increase :: 40% → 42.5%
[h3]Cast to Last[/h3]CTL is the pretty much the worst performing in its class.
  • Buff and Debuff duration :: 50% → 55%
[h3]Demolitionist[/h3]There’s a lot of size stuff goin' on this patch. Let’s not have it be overwhelming. Hopefully.
  • Size Gain :: 25% → 20%
[h3]Glass Cannon[/h3]Ramps up and gets you to max stacks faster, but max is a little weaker.
  • Gain 5 → 4 Power and 3% → 2% Speed every 2s (up to 28 Power and 14% Speed).
[h3]Magnetized Soles[/h3]A clear front-runner among Gear, Mag Soles is taking some heat with the speed changes.
  • Midfield Speed Boost :: 23% → 22%
[h3]Might of the Colossus[/h3]There’s a lot of size stuff goin on this patch. Let’s not have it be overwhelming. Hopefully. Yeah I copied and pasted this. Sue me.
  • Size :: 15% → 12.5%
[h3]Missile Propulsion[/h3]This one goes out to all the people who get hit by every random Luna missile. (Me)
  • Damage buff :: 20% harder (4% to Core) → 22.5% harder (4.5% to core)
[h3]Primetime[/h3]Without Rapid Fire, Primetime isn’t really that great.
  • Hit power reduction :: 5% → 4.5% (Core damage unchanged)
[h3]Siege Machine[/h3]Siege Machine had a 0% win rate since last patch.
  • Creations :: Hit 15% → 20% harder (3% → 4% to Core).
[h3]Spark of Resilience[/h3]Clearly the worst performing spark when on its own or not paired with all the other sparks.
  • Base Max Stagger :: 100 → 105
[h3]Stagger Swagger[/h3]
  • Base Speed boost :: 7.5% → 7%
[h3]Stacks on Stacks[/h3]
  • Speed per Stack :: 0.075% → 0.070% (10.5% Speed at Max Stacks)
