  • Fixed a bug that caused a crash when loading a save during the tutorial and transitioning to the next map.
  • Resolved an issue with the calculation of how many cards could be retained during discards, particularly when buildings that increased the card limit were added.
  • Added an automatic loading system that attempts to recover the game when it detects an improperly loaded save file.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the throne from loading.

  • Added vibration when hovering over a button for gamepads and Steam Deck.
  • Improved mouse handling when using the stick on Steam Deck or a gamepad.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed interaction with cards in certain pop-up message menus.

Dynamic Card System / Deck Boost Update

We've been hard at work preparing a brand-new update for Vertical Kingdom, and we're thrilled to share what's coming your way on August 19th!

New Roguelite Feature:
Every time you start a new city, you'll be presented with 3 random special cards—unique buildings that offer distinct resources and benefits. Choose wisely, as one card will be automatically added to your deck!

Dynamic Card System:
The cards you receive will change based on your region and progress, adding layers of strategy as you journey through the game. The closer you get to the end of a region, the more intriguing your options become!

New Buildings:
We're introducing 6 new cards tied to resource import markets, allowing you to secure resources by spending money each turn. No more relying solely on internal production—if you can generate enough cash, you can buy what you need!

Endless Replayability:
This system is just the beginning! We’ll continue adding more cards over time, giving you fresh strategies and endless replayability.
