New Update is Live! Little Mac Remake, AMD Crash Fix and more!

Hey everyone, let us start by saying the AMD Crash should be fixed now! Sorry it took us this long!

On other news, there's some new juicy stuff on this update like Inverted Y and X options, separate Volume Knobs and a new Upgrade: Walkpod!

Features

[h2]New Little Mac[/h2]
  • Little Mac has spent some time training and came back with new attacks and abilities!

[h2]New Upgrade: Walkpod[/h2]
  • Every time you Fast Reload your weapon, summon a Sound Pulse to damage enemies all around you!

[h2]Improved Progression[/h2]
  • We took a hard look into how the game was played and we made some improvements to overall match time and wave balancing. Both Bosses should appear much faster and match times should be reduced by a bit!
  • Increased XP Gain during matches

[h2]AMD Crash Fix[/h2]
  • Sorry it took us this long, but the game should now be playable on older AMD Cards!

[h2]Invert Y and X Axis![/h2]
  • For those of you who couldn't play the game before due to this missing option, now you can properly play the game!

[h2]Separate Volumes[/h2]
  • We've separated Ambience, Music and SFX Volumes so you can have better control of those while playing!


Director's Commentary

Let me start by saying that I'm sorry it took us this long to fix the Crash that was affecting some of you guys. I'm sorry and we'll try to do better in the future and fix those important issues much quicker!

Also thanks a ton for everyone that participated in our Open Community Playtest on Thursday this week! It was amazing and everyone tried some cool new secret features that aren't in the game yet
I can say this: There will be more playtests in the future!

Onto more important news!
I have an important announcement to make: We will be closing down the Demo starting on December 1st!

As we gear towards our Early Access release, we need the team to focus on some huge new features and improvements to the game, this means it's better for production of the game if we only have one version of the game to focus on. Because of this we decided to sunset the Demo starting December 1st so we can double down on making what matters: the Early Access version!

I want to add that we will keep doing Community Playtesting before EA Release, so if you want to participate join our discord @ discord.gg/bitcake!

New Update just Dropped with a New Upgrade: Lightning in a Bottle!

We just released a new Update to the game, introducing a new upgrade and some quality-of-life improvements to the multiplayer experience!

Features

[h2]New Upgrade: Lightning in a Bottle[/h2]

Shock your enemies whenever you successfully Fast Reload your weapon!

[h2]Multiplayer Quality of Life[/h2]
  • Whenever a player picks up a Health Pickup, they will automatically ping its location to everyone
  • Whenever a player is downed there's a new warning to your team that someone has fallen
  • Whenever a player help another downed player there's a new notification warning everyone of how good of a samaritan this player is!


Director's Commentary

This update doesn't seem much, but it's the start of something bigger. We're finally working on some new upgrades to make you feel more powerful and to enable more builds to be done.
You can expect the new upgrades to be visually appealing and way cooler than everything that came before!
We're also making sure each new upgrade fits on a cool playstyle so you guys can think of some crazy combinations down the line :D

New Update: Movement 2.0 and Cross Region Play!

Hey everyone, a new update just dropped in time for the Roguelike Celebration!

We've teased it before on our Discord, but here it finally is: The Movement 2.0 update!
Also, as a bonus, another highly requested feature: Cross Region play!

Features

[h2]New Mechanic: Super Jump[/h2]
  • Pressing Space after Gear Dodging will activate the Super Jump!
  • Enables a whole new layer of Movement Tech in the game!

[h2]New Mechanic: Ledge Climb[/h2]
  • While jumping towards a ledge or when falling near it, your character will automatically climb up!
  • You're now able to reach heights you weren't able to before, and movement through the map feels much more fluid!

[h2]Improved Mechanic: Gear Dodge[/h2]
  • Dodging near Cliffs won't pull you down anymore, it'll pull you forward instead!
  • Improved Dodging upwards while on a Cliff!

[h2]New Feature: Cross Region Play[/h2]
  • You're now able to play with anyone, anywhere in the world! (Just beware of your ping!)

[h2]Optimizations and Bugfixes[/h2]
  • Significant performance improvements of our AI Pathfinding
  • Other smaller bugfixes and overall improvements


Director's Commentary

We're finally able to release this one! We've been working on this for a while, our animator had a lot of fun doing some new parkour movements. It was super fun watching the team play with the Lege Climb for the first time, once they experimented it they never wanted to play the game without it again 🤣

The Super Jump is a mechanic born out of a byproduct of our Dodge, where some players were able to do a super jump when precisely timing the jump after dodging, so we were like "why not turn this into and ACTUAL mechanic?" and we did! And that's because you guys loved it so much :)

Hey everyone!

This week's mostly about fixing some stuff and improving overall game performance!

Fixes and Improvements
  • Fixed bug where XP and Pebble Drop visuals would sometimes disappear forever
  • Improved performance of Pinata Destructibles
  • Rebalanced Pinata spawn rate and certain pickup spawn chances
  • Fixed a bug that let you use Devices while in the downed state
  • Added an indicator of build version, connection type, and lag at the bottom left of the screen (this will only exist during Early Access to help us find and debug your bug reports)
