Craft the Perfect Island with the Island Creator Update

[p]The Island Creator for Lost Skies now allows you to be more inventive than ever before! Bossa Games has delivered an update for the free creation tool that opens up all kinds of possibilities. [/p][p][/p][p]Players will be able to create new content for both regions, including the newly added Midlands biome, and can upload it to Steam Workshop for all players to explore. For players who haven't yet joined the Lost Skies fun - The Island Creator is a great way to get a feel for the grapple hook traversal movement for free! [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Shape Your Island to Your Liking:[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]Explore A New Biome: The Midlands region brings with it a beautiful autumnal palette with over 200 new assets that include ruins and temples with mysterious inscriptions to use on your island.[/p]

Early Access Hotfix #4 - NOW LIVE



Greetings Awoken! We've been hard at work addressing your feedback, and we're pleased to announce the release of Hotfix #4.

This update brings another round of important fixes and some exciting new additions. Take a look at what we've packed into this release:

Release Notes for Hotfix #4
  • Fixed several instances where joining the old world would result in a black screen.
    Note: After investigation, we discovered this occurred when players took damage from AI or other objects while loading in, causing them to die during the loading screen. Players can no longer take damage until loading is complete.
  • Added 2 new weapons and 20+ ship decorations to discover in the Outskirts region.
  • Design pass on all chest loot drops, which should result in more consistent rewards and a more even spread of ship parts, components, and resources.
  • Optimisation pass on AI bindings - potential performance boost for when there's a lot of AI enemies around.
  • Another round of audio optimisation.
  • Fixed several instances where the world wouldn't save correctly, resulting in progress loss.
    Note: If issues occur when saving the world, the save data will now roll back to the last "safe" state automatically. This issue is quite sporadic. If the problem arises we would love to hear more about it. Please report the issue on Discord.
  • Fixed an issue where some schematics didn't level up correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where shotguns didn't level up correctly.

Early Access Hotfix #3 - NOW LIVE



We're back with another Hotfix thanks to your incredible feedback. Here's what's included in Hotfix #3:

Fixes & Improvements
  • Resolved excessive camera shake (toggle to disable coming in a future update)
  • Fixed weapon recoil and FOV issues
  • Increased maximum mouse sensitivity
  • Resolved freezing caused by buffs/debuffs
  • Fixed ship and storage loss on reconstruction
    Note: Storage can now only be placed while docked at a shipyard
    Known Issue: On reconstructed ships, only the host can see stored items. Hosts can drop items for other players to pick up. We're working on a proper fix.
  • Fixed ship brakes not functioning properly
  • Shipwrecks now show on the compass
  • No more duplicated grapple boost SFX
  • Dismantled ship parts now return correct materials
  • Resolved missing icons batch
  • Fixed coral flare duplication bug
  • Improved ship damage edge-case calculations
  • Datapads no longer show "Someone else is using this" unnecessarily
  • Balance pass: food stats, stack sizes, weights, and resources
  • Fixed upgraded weapons not dealing increased damage
  • Fixed player IK on helm/cannons (no more twisted poses)

Early Access Hotfix #2 - NOW LIVE



Hey Awoken!

What a week it's been! We're delighted and humbled by how many of you have already joined us on the Lost Skies journey. We've been working hard on the second EA hotfix, which fixes a whole bunch of issues you've been reporting.

Here are the release notes:

  • Fixed an issue with disconnects causing ships to disappear (keeping an eye on this issue, please report any ship disappearances if it still happens to you!)
  • Fixed an issue with the first shipyard upgrade not increasing the amount of available blocks
  • Fixed screen stuttering when moving the camera
  • Steam rooms should now appear correctly (public and friends-only)
  • Fixed an issue when a player failing to join a world would disconnect everyone
  • Fixed 2 island desync issues when travelling between different islands
  • Respawn timer reduced to 5 seconds
  • Potential fix for "Journey begins" quest not triggering when you travel in certain directions
  • Potential fix for islands and resources not spawning correctly, until you travel to a different island
  • Fixed an issue with deathbags duplicating after they've already been collected after a reload
  • Fixed an issue where ships sometimes didn't align with scaffolding correctly, causing Gizmo to be nonfunctional when you edit the ship shape
  • Adjusted some player guide quest descriptions
  • Fixed uncommon aluminium not being craftable
  • Multiple fixes for keybindings. The remaining keybinding issues we'd like to tackle:
    - Allow players to rebind WASD individually
    - Implement a full list of UI Prompts for all the possible keys
    - Continue looking into grappling hook binding reports
  • Fixed an issue where lower level weapons had their damage reduced too much against higher level AI
  • Improved placement of some ship decorations
  • Dynamic strings in localised languages should now appear correctly

We're also looking into:
Excessive screen shake in certain scenarios with low FPS (the plan is to add an option to switch it off or adjust via settings) as well as other known issues we shared earlier in the week.

We recommend verifying game files on Steam before playing the new update.
