Steadfast Steward’s Update Part Two - Participation Details

[p]Our final hero reworks are nearly here! Since the release of the third Kingdoms module, Curse of the Court, our team has been focused on completing the remaining work from this summer’s Steadfast Steward’s update. We’re happy to announce that a new update is coming to our public beta branches next week.[/p][p][/p][p]This public beta period will be focused on just a few changes, and should conclude by the end of the month. Read on for more details on what to expect, and how you can participate.
[/p][p]What will this update contain:[/p][p]The second part of our Steadfast Steward update will not be as expansive as the one we had in the summer, and will focus on following areas: [/p]
  • [p]Finishing the 2 remaining hero reworks - Hellion and Leper[/p]
  • [p]Adding more options to The Dam.[/p]
  • [p]Minor fixes and improvements 
    [/p]
[p]We do not plan to tackle any other areas of the game during this public beta period.[/p][p][/p][p]What is the expected timeline:
[/p][p]This update will be pushed to our coming in hot branch early next week. Due to the smaller scope, we expect to be on our public beta branch for only a couple weeks, while we ingest community feedback and iterate. The first build we deploy will contain all the scheduled work for this update. Our goal is to push our final update to retail before the end of October. 
[/p][p]How to participate:[/p][p]If you want to participate, you’ll simply need to play the game on our public beta branch on Steam once builds become available, and then send us your feedback. As with the Steadfast Steward update in the summer, we’ll be collecting community feedback on Discord, email, and via official surveys.
[/p][p]We will have a specific section on our Discord dedicated to the Steadfast Steward’s update with different channels for hero reworks, and our Dam changes. Note: This section will be added to our Discord once our first build is live next week.[/p][p][/p][p]You can also email your thoughts to [email protected] if you’d prefer to send feedback that way.
[/p][p]How to access the coming_in_hot public beta branch on Steam:[/p]
  • [p]Right click on Darkest Dungeon II in your Steam library[/p]
  • [p]Click Properties[/p]
  • [p]Click Betas[/p]
  • [p]Choose ‘Coming_in_hot - experimental builds’ from the Beta Participation dropdown menu.

If you don’t want to help test this update, you can continue playing on the regular retail branches as normal, and enjoy the completed update when it is released in late October.[/p][p]

  • [p]Prevent the game from locking up when you open the hero sheet on the kingdoms map when you also happen to be mousing over the status bar for one of the heroes in your party[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a reoccurring soft lock on the Victory Screen of modded runs[/p]
  • [p]Fixed fast combat option issue, when turned on and exiting to main menu would result in game being incorrectly sped up[/p]

[p]We just pushed a new build with the following changes:[/p]
  • [p]Added 33% chance to obtain Human Blood (Resilient) from Assistance Encounter Provisions while on the quest step to collect resilient blood[/p]
  • [p]Added 50% chance to obtain Human Blood (Resilient) from Assistance Encounter Militia while on the quest step to collect resilient blood[/p]
  • [p]Assistance Encounter locations are now always scouted while on the quest step to collect resilient blood[/p]
  • [p]Fixed excessive Chirurgeon location spawn rates in underground regions while on the quest step to collect resilient blood[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Bloodworn Syringe not providing Bloodsucker Blood when used on Bloodsuckers in Sieges after the collect resilient blood step is completed [/p]
  • [p]Fixed inconsistent Health, Stress, and Fatigue heals when arriving at Camps adjacent to infected regions[/p]
  • [p]Fix stagecoach visual upgrade mods that are using visual overrides to not have their materials overridden at spawn time[/p]
  • [p]Fix attempt for crash that could occur when opening the Character Sheet of a character who has the Crimson Curse[/p]

[p]Yesterday afternoon we pushed a new hotfix to the game. That update contained the following: [/p]
  • [p]Updated the Sync Audio option to make the change immediately instead of requiring a restart[/p]
  • [p]A fix attempt for the game failing to load just before the final Confessions boss[/p]
  • [p]Another fix attempt for the persisting black squares after Confession Inn[/p]
  • [p]Another fix attempt for a soft lock that occurs after revealing skills on Embark Screen[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Travelogue entry from multiple deliverables shows wrong Mastery point total[/p]
  • [p]Fixed excessive creature den spawn rates in underground regions while on the quest step to collect resilient blood[/p]
