Development Update - April Edition
We're continuing to work hard on AutoForge!
The first few weeks we were focused on pumping out patches to improve AutoForge. Now that things are mostly better we have shifted our attention to working on the first major update - Strange Encounters (v0.3). We've made some great progress on this already but there is still much more to do. While working on it, I do plan to simultaneously get in at least one or two more patches for 0.2 since I know there are a number of things that need some more immediate action.
Developer Livestream Feedback Event
I have read over the feedback and suggestions on the Steam forums but honestly I have yet to go deep into all that has been posted on the AutoForge Discord server. I do truly appreciate everyone taking the time to share your thoughts and so I am now putting on an event this Friday at 10AM PDT. This will likely be an all day event where I will be streaming over on my Twitch channel as I go through each and every post. If you haven't already now is a great time to share your suggestions and feedback. I hope you can join!

Patch notes for 0.2.15

Quick little update to mostly fix a few issues that came up from 0.2.14. I'm aware of a few extra crashes that are happening due to 0.2.14 and am looking into them with some additional logging added to this update.
Resolved Issues
• Resolved issue with tile preview not working correctly
 • Resolved crash with UI when interacting with devices that have a fluid fuel such as Lava Forges and Reactors
 • Resolved issue with taking damage in emitted regions as if the region is not emitted
Performance Changes
• Significantly reduce logging during saving/loading which speeds up both by a significant margin
Quality of Life Changes
• Scaffolding can now be placed on the top blocks of a Mana Turret
 • When placing items, placing blocks, rotating things, and other similar actions the distance check is now for the entire block rather than the exact cursor position

Patch notes for 0.2.14

This patches brings some welcomed changes including settings on the main menu. Lots of various issues resolved and many improvements.

After the last set of patches I have started using an experimental branch. A few brave players have been playing on it and I believe it is now ready for everyone else. I plan to continue to put out patches for 0.2 but I am also going to start working on 0.3. Thank you everyone for your diligence with reporting issues and providing feedback!
Settings are now available on the main menu!!

Resolved issues
• Resolved issue with plants growing in irrigated plant support despite not having the proper fluid supplied
 • Resolved issue with Lotus (invading enemy) getting stuck on slopes
 • Resolved issue with the corner of the unexplored regions damaging the player despite it looking safe
 • Resolved issue with toolbar not updating item quantity when moving a stack of an item (shift + click) to a chest
 • Resolved issue with Irrigated Plant Support not harvesting when placed until after a game load
 • Resolved issue with bypass incorrectly connecting visually to a corner transport tube in front of it
 • Resolved issues with Storage Tank and Lava Forge not completely working with Pipette
 • Resolved issue with replacing broken items not persisting meta data such as output direction and recipe
 • Resolved issue with Repair Tools being used on broken structures to no effect
 • Resolved issue with pipes causing transport tubes to be "connected" to them visually
 • Resolved issue with pipes incorrectly connecting to fluid inputs/outputs from the side
 • Resolved issue with unlimited plant harvest methods not actually being unlimited (Burilla Sawblade)
 • Resolved issue with tech tree sometimes becoming visually duplicated
 • Resolved issue with tooltip staying opening when opening another structure's interface
 • Resolved issue with replacing tiles when background is empty
Improvements
• Dropped items are now limited to 300. Once this limit is met the oldest dropped item will be destroyed. This is to help with performance issues.
 • Improved key binding support to keypad and many other less commonly used keys
 • Added a Early Access disclaimer that is displayed after launching the game
 • Moved all player facing text over to locale file to better support future localizations
 • Improved paragraph word wrapping
 • Improved Ancient Device interface
 • Automatic UI scaling now works off of resolution height rather than width
 • Optimized UI memory usage
 • Resolved several memory leaks caused by saved and exit to menu

EDIT: Patched two small regressions with this patch so far including
 • Resolved issue with game not launching correctly with no settings file
 • Resolved issue with taking damage in emitted regions as if the region is not emitted

Patch Notes v0.2.13

Last night's patch had some... issues. I made the mistake of pushing the small innocent patch before going to bed early to catch up on some much needed sleep. I'm truly sorry to everyone that weren't able to play during 0.2.12

 • Resolved crashing with saving/loading
 • Chest hint icons now work on load

EDIT: Pushed a small change to not include bad save files in the menu that were created in v0.2.12.

Patch notes for v0.2.12

Small patch today but with two highly requested features - chest icons in alt mode and the ability to put recipes at the front of the craft queue.
Changes
• Chests now show an icon of the first item in the container while in alt mode (doesn't work across play sessions yet)
 • Crafting items can now be prioritize (moved to the front of the queue) by holding control when queuing the recipe
 • Resolved issue with Pipette not working correctly with Plant Support
 • Resolved issue with recipe tooltips not showing up for Fabricators (regression in v0.2.11)
 • Splitter UI arrow highlights
 • Fixed visual error of being able to change the input arrow on the splitter
 • Balanced Burilla Sawblade harvest method to be more frequent but produce the same amount per minute
 • Number of harvests in tooltip now correctly handle harvest methods that are unlimited (Burilla Sawblade)
