KIWI CLICKER REACHES HISTORIC NEW LOW PRICE


[h3]Hello everyone!![/h3]

Hope y'all are doing alright - I'm doing a short stop today to announce the start of the Idler Fest discount.

Was hoping to put out a Kiwi Clicker update out today as well, but it didn't quite make it and we didn't want to risk putting it out there and breaking someone's save file on such a joyful date (today is the worldwide day of cheaper Kiwi Clicker).

I've worked quite a bit on rewriting the whole code of the original Kiwi Clicker from scratch between December and January, and it has reignited my desire to make this old pal shine!
that's right, the ratio balancer is going down

Either way, it's supposed to change a lot (pretty much everything you didn't like, and also everything I didn't like), so I'll need to get back to it for now so that it can eventually come out!

Update 1.5.15h - Minor Fixes

Hello everyone, this update is just a few fixes - largely for the computer thing that happens at the end.

[h2]Changelog[/h2]
  • Fixed being able to activate hidden/incomplete languages accidentally
  • Fixed stuttering issues when moving in a certain part of the game
  • Fixed UI not scaling properly for certain window sizes in that same part of the game
  • That certain part of the game is no longer skipped if you close and reopen the game
  • General fixed and improvements for that certain part of the game

Russian Localization + Simplified Chinese & General Improvements

Hello everyone, this is an update mostly to enable the Russian language as it has been worked on by community members recently - we've also had some corrections to the Simplified Chinese localization.

Additional Changes
-Improved font readability for Simplified Chinese
-Improved font readability for Japanese
-Adjusted several UI elements where text would cut off, overflow or end up way too small

How are you all? I hope you're doing alright.

This past year, I've been working a lot on 'Shapez 2', which is now getting to an even more awesome state. But you might be more interested in hearing about 'Kiwi Game 2' - it's a buggy mess, but I'll tell you, it's shaping up to be hella fun - hopefully we can release it by the end of this year too!




NOW AVAILABLE IN CHINESE & JAPANESE


Thanks to the folks at The Most Games, the game can now be played in Chinese (Simplified) & Japanese!

We also have support for Chinese (Traditional) too, thanks to our community member Milly, who did that all on her own.

I hope all the new folks who discover Kiwi thanks to all the languages that are now supported will greatly enjoy it and have fun with the crazy little things it has going on.

And if you find any opportunities to add funny puns in your native language, feel free to drop a suggestion in our Discord!


KIWI GAME 2 - COMING SOON(ish)


The new game stars our beloved little kiwi buddies/workers/victims with completely new mechanics that open up way more possibilities for strategizing, planning, progressing & crazy surprises - let us soon feast upon this new endlessly incrementing journey!

After Kiwi Game 2, I would also like to go back to Kiwi 1 and rework the end-end-endgame mechanics so they're more engaging - starting at ending 1, but mostly for ending 3.

THE RULERS OF EVERYTHING - ENDINGS UPDATE + LOCALIZATION

This update contains the new endings + localization support + quality of life changes - I'll go over them below... but you might want to just play and see it!


NEW ENDINGS

There are two new endings in the game - I won't go over what happens or when.
If you continue progressing, you will end up finding all of them - so don't worry about missing something!


PRESTIGE PRESTIGE

This update adds a new simple prestige at the very end of the game - just in case you want to play a bit further and see some huge gains!


LOCALIZATION SUPPORT

[h3]PT-BR LOCALIZATION + PARTIAL FRENCH & TURKISH SUPPORT[/h3]
The game now supports supporting multiple languages!

I've translated it to PT-BR myself, and we also have the coolest community members working on other languages too!

For now, you can also select French or Turkish, which are 50%+ translated as well.

[h3]QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES[/h3]
  • Reworked the peeler & peel tooltips for improved readability & clarity
  • Spikies now remove your worst peel instead of the last one
  • Added a bonus multiplier counter to the carpentry king
  • Added a kurse gain indicator when feeding the alchemy king
  • If the player breaks maximum delivery speed, it is now converted into bag size
  • Improved multiple tooltips that were harder to read than the remainder
  • Improved penance instructions & they now appear more easily
  • Improved when the dark section shows up + added cryptic hints
  • Bonus kings from kards no longer devalue progression by increasing the king count
  • Offline bonuses & time skips now fill up Alchemy's potion cauldron's capacity
  • Reduced obstruction of essential info caused by king-clicking income
  • Discord button added to the offline gains screen so more people join!
  • The cosmic visitor now stays longer on screen
  • Increased the amount of significant digits in scientific notation
  • Halloween visuals finally reverted (what a great year for pumpkins that was)

[h3]BALANCE CHANGES[/h3]
  • Lucky peel kard count reduced (2,4,9,21) > (2,4,7,11)
  • Alchemy potion cooldown greatly reduced (max/min 150/70 > 120/40)

[h3]FIXES AND OTHER CHANGES[/h3]
  • Fixed inconsistent behavior in carpentry where it could skip multiple kings
  • Fixed underground reverb effect not triggering properly
  • Fixed unclickable cosmic visitor spots & improved partially visible ones
  • Performance improvements for the lategame
  • Fixed kard effects (wiwi happiness, archers) no longer appearing for some players
  • Fixed offline bonuses not giving profession rewards before certain unlocks
  • Fixed framerate settings resetting on game reload
  • Fixed penance growth total showing total level in some cases
  • Fixed shortcuts triggering while the game's menu is opening
  • Fixed wiwis not using all name combinations they should have
  • Fixed wiwis looking weird if they evolved twice at once
