We hope you’ve enjoyed your time in Hinterberg so far over the last few weeks! We have loved seeing what you’ve been getting up to over on the Discord and on X. We’ve also really appreciated you taking the time to give feedback on how the game is running and any issues you’ve encountered. We’ve been listening and working hard behind the scenes and are now very happy to bring you our first patch with updated and new features!



New:​​

• ​Enhanced rich presence – Added more detailed information about where in Dungeons of Hinterberg your friends are currently exploring (Steam/Epic specific)
  
• Controller buttons can now be remapped in the settings
  
• FOV Slider
  
• Added a second auto-save slot which saves every day at noon, when entering a overworld
  

Fixed/Reworked:

• Reworked Waystones: Upon activating a Waystone, you will now have the option to continue from a Waystone’s position whenever you re-enter the dungeon.
  
• Reworked framerate cap setting to fix potential screen tearing
  
• Behavior of inverted controller axis setting during side view and top-down perspectives
  
• Issue where players could end up in an unresponsive state when dying during specific moments in combat
  
• Incorrect breakfast comments by Marina if you unlock breakfast reward very late in the game
  
• Disabled low health vignette during cutscenes
  
• Added failsafe to prevent entering Overgrown Cave dungeon before access is restored in the story
  
• An issue that could cause a crash when talking to characters ​with familiarity less than 25 when playing in Simplified Chinese
  
• Minor localization fixes
  
• Minor collider and visual bugs
  
• Rare visual bug for eyeballs in ice cave dungeons when reloading a save game
  
• ​A possible issue that prevented players from successfully receiving the completion stamp on Snowy Summit
  
• A bug where some NPC stories were delayed too long by other characters
  
• If a player misses the Commemorative Coin in the Beginner’s Dungeon, the coin can be purchased in the Souvenir Shop, guaranteeing that the “Collector” achievement is always possible

The day is finally here – we’re so excited to share Dungeons of Hinterberg with you! We hope you’re excited to delve into Hinterberg and discover what it has to offer! Here’s a rundown of Hinterberg and the different areas you can visit on your Slaycation.

The first place you’ll visit will be Hinterberg itself. You’ll spend a lot of your slaycation here, getting to know the locals as well as fellow adventurers. It can be a bit overwhelming, being on your own in a new place, but never fear, Theresa, your host, will be more than happy to guide you in the right direction! Once you’re settled into your hotel, she’ll let you know where to go to get trained so you’re ready for some monster slaying!



Another place you’ll visit will be Hinterwald, a beautiful, autumnal forest. There are plenty of places to relax and take in the magnificent scenery here, as well as opportunities to fly through the forest, feeling the wind flowing through your hair!



It wouldn’t be a holiday in the Alps without some snow – when you head up to Kolmstein, you’ll finally get to carve on your magical hoverboard! You can ride the rails into Ice Caves, challenge fellow adventurers on the Slalom, and even make the most of some exclusive transportation options up there…if you know the right people!



You’ll also visit the swamps of Brünnelsumpf! Offering a very different vibe to the other areas, here you can kayak through the tranquil marshes and face new monsters. So long as you don’t mind the rain, Brünnelsumpf is a very serene place to spend a day, with plenty of dungeons to keep you busy!
