Welcome back to another devlog for Prison Survival!

Time for another update straight from the cell block!
In this devlog, we’re going behind bars (literally) to talk about… prison cells. Yep, the cozy little rooms you’ll be calling home in Prison Survival.

[h2]🛏️ Beds, Desks & More[/h2]
We’ve been working hard on building the furniture you’ll find in your cell. Beds, desks, lockers – all the essential “I-live-here-now” items (no gaming consoles, sorry)

And yes… the bed is technically for sleeping, but let’s be honest: it’s mostly for plotting your next great escape. 😏



[h2]🧻 The Legendary Toilet Paper[/h2]

It’s not just hygiene - it’s sometimes a currency, it’s treasure, it’s a symbol of hope. Collect it, hoard it, trade it… just don’t ask how it got so valuable.

We put extra love into creating the assets for your prison life:

It’s the small details that make the cell feel alive (or at least survivable)!

Here’s the deal with the gans in prison: you’ll need to work with other gangs… and sometimes fight them.
Maybe you’ll trade protection for favors, maybe you’ll get double-crossed in the cafeteria - but hey, that’s prison life.

The balance of power shifts every day, so you’ll need strategy, charm, and a little chaos to make it out on top!!



Do you want your own gang? You got it! Wanna take over another gang?
That’s on the table too-though we’re still figuring out if it’ll be a feature.





And speaking of bosses… meet one of our standout characters:
Don’t let the silver hair and slick glasses fool you. This guy is the definition of a gangster. He can plan a twisted plan while sipping coffee and making the entire prison think he’s harmless.

We know that players loved creating characters and gangs in Prison Simulator, so we want to take that idea and expand it in Prison Survival. More gangs, more customization, more ways
We’re cooking up crazy prison events, gang wars, and hilarious NPC interactions that will keep you on your toes.

Welcome back to another devlog for Prison Survival!

First of all – HUGE thanks to everyone who's currently participating in the playtests! You're helping us a ton, and your feedback is pure gold!





So yes – in our game, survival isn’t just about keeping your head down and avoiding bad looks. It’s also about making connections. Trading snacks for favors. Swapping meds for smokes. Smuggling in that “very illegal but very needed” item past the guards without getting your face reintroduced to the floor.

Trade in real prisons is a whole ecosystem, and we’re building our little prison system too!



BUT! In the current playtest, this system is only lightly represented. Think of it as a little teaser - just a taste.
The real dirty deals are coming in the demo and the full release, where we’ll be introducing deeper trade mechanics, more contraband "items", and more “creative” ways to sneak them past the guards.

Remember "Freeman" from the last devlog? He is one of the traders!

Let’s be honest, what’s prison life without a little chaos and a guy trying to sell you painkillers wrapped in toilet paper?

Catching with "stuff" can occur in worse punishment than ever!

To join the playtest, simply visit our Prison Survival's Steam page and click “Request Access” - access will be granted automatically.

Prison Survival is a first-person prison stealth-action game set in a semi-open prison environment.
You’re free to explore – but some areas are off-limits.
Enter a Restricted Area, and guards or security cameras will be on your tail.
If they catch you – you're sent back to a checkpoint.

You can run, hide, or use parkour to escape – climb pipes, ledges, or sneak through ventilation shafts. You can also fight other inmates with your fists!

The art style is slightly stylized, but we’re keeping the gritty prison atmosphere: gangs, drugs, fights, foul language, and the daily grind of prison life!

You work for a prison boss. Your job? Smuggle contraband – drugs, weapons, and other illegal items.
Pick up orders, avoid or take down guards, use parkour, disable cameras, fight rival inmates, deliver the goods and get back to your cell and go to sleep ;)

You can also buy helpful tools (like lockpicks, remote camera disablers, or a map), or train parkour in a dedicated area!
