Hello Magic Apprentices!

We hope you're all doing well. We're excited to bring you another edition of our Development Progress & Update series. In this post, we will be discussing updates on a new narrative story arc, voice acting integrations, and our ongoing efforts to optimize game difficulty for Affogato.

[h2]Crafting Our New Story Arc[/h2]

We've been working hard recently on one of the plot points for the game. A new character has popped into the world of Affogato's cafe - a spirited indie game developer working on a game where the key theme is 'delivering goods'. This charming new addition is our playful homage to a famous game developer and his much-loved debut work which is based on the same theme.

In the process of crafting this character and her narrative arc, we've taken the liberty of weaving in snippets of our own experiences. As indie game developers, we face a plethora of challenges and victories, from the euphoria of solving a complex programming issue to the strain of long debugging sessions. Through this character, we've tried to encapsulate some of these ups and downs, infusing a piece of our journey into the heart of Affogato.

We're excited to see how this character will resonate with you, as her story reflects not just the journey of a fictional game developer, but our own personal and collective experiences as well. We wanted to do more than just share a character; we wanted to share a slice of our life, our passion, and our perseverance in the field of game development.

[h2]Integration of Voice Acting[/h2]

Next, we are now in the process of integrating voice acting in three languages: English, Chinese, and Japanese. We are diligently finalizing the script, paying special attention to the subtleties of each language to ensure cultural accuracy and relatability. We are excited for the VO to breathe life into Affogato's characters, unfolding their unique stories and personal journeys. We also hope for the effort to deepen the emotional connection between you and the vibrant characters that inhabit the world of Affogato.

[h2]Game Difficulty Balancing[/h2]

Next, we've also received feedback that some battles could be quite challenging, and we're working to strike a balance, ensuring the game is exciting without being overly difficult In Affogato. For example, we have incorporated a variety of witch cards that you will discover as you progress in the game. You would be able to upgrade them and create different lineup combinations, making battles more manageable and enjoyable.
