Affogato - Development Progress and Updates!
Hey Magic Apprentices!
When we released the Affogato demo during Steam Next Fest in February 2023, we received loads of amazing feedback and suggestions, and we can't thank you enough for your patience in playing our game. We appreciate the diversity of your questions and have been more than happy to address as many as possible. Some suggestions were challenging, but they were also very interesting and valuable for our development process!
As such, we are excited to present an update on Affogato's development, and share the improvements we've made so far!
[h2]Side Quests for Natalie & Lindsay[/h2]
Do you remember Natalie and Lindsay from our demo? Natalie is a senior journalist running the "Goddess Chronicles" in Arorua City, and Lindsay is a college student with social anxiety, looking for a part-time job to help her develop her social skills. Currently, the development of Natalie and Lindsay's side quests has been completed, and we believe the events surrounding them will bring surprises to you! We are still in the midst of developing other characters' side quests which including some male characters that we will be introducing soon!
In Affogato, each character you encounter holds a significant importance in the game, and it's up to you to determine how to develop relationships with them. Every choice you make can shape your adventure, leading to a variety of potential outcomes!
[h2]Battle Difficulty Adjustments[/h2]
In response to players' feedback on the battle difficult level, we initially introduced various difficulty options to cater to different preferences, however we noticed that some of you still find certain challenges demanding. As such, we have made some adjustments to the battle mechanics, and our quality control team is currently testing these changes. We have also enhanced the special effects and art for the third and fourth chapter battle levels, making them more visually rich and stimulating.
[h2]Witchery Café Is Getting An Upgrade![/h2]
Speaking of special effects and art, as we strive to enhance the visual experience in our game, we're excited to announce that we're currently working on the renovation of Witchery Café! To give you a sneak peek into the process, we're sharing two design drafts with you:

[h2]Voice Acting Updates and Character Improvements[/h2]
We've had numerous fans of Japanese RPGs that share some suggestions about voice acting, and we're thrilled to share some exciting updates on this front! Majority of voice acting work has been wrapped up, and we're now focusing on fine-tuning the configurations and making final adjustments. In addition to voice acting, we have also adjusted some character illustrations and dialogue expressions to better showcase their personalities and enhance immersion. Upon the game's release, we're excited for you to explore a colorful and dynamic Arorua City. Remember to put on your headphones for the best experience when playing!
