Wingman Fix

1. This update fixes a few bugs in the wingman system which was preventing them from firing their weapons correctly.

2. The loadout screen has also been updated to flag weapons that are unsuitable for wingman use currently. This is basically all unguided weapons e.g. rockets & gunpods.

Hotfix

Couple of fixes for yesterdays update....

1. You can now adjust fuel load on all helicopters
2. Tweaked the Viper and Kiowa's audio to remove the hi pitched whistle in the engine sound effect.
3. Tweaked the Gazelle's flight model

Mi-24 Hind & Central Libya Update

This update brings 3 versions of the Mi-24 Hind attack helicopter to the game...

Along with a number of REDFOR weapon systems such as....

a new "Central Libya" terrain based on Satellite imagery and height maps AND 3 new mission templates including cargo transportation missions.

In addition, the weapon loadout screen has been overhauled to be easier to use (especially on the Steam Deck) and many many other improvements and bug fixes....

  • GPU instanced terrain cluter for Libya terrain
  • Tracer colours updated so REDFOR are now green while BLUFOR are now red
  • New automatic engine start up at the beginning of the mission
  • B-8V20A Rocet Pods
  • Stability improvements for the Steam Deck
  • Improved weapon trigger system (guided missiles are now single shot, rocket pods fire in sequence, gun pods fire in linked mode)

This is update is the culmination of a large number of beta updates so thanks goes to all those that took part, spottted bugs and made suggestions ːsteamhappyː

The next beta will be the "Infantry Beta" which is focused on, believe it or not, getting infantry modelled in game ːsteamsunnyː

Small Update for MissionExpansion beta

Quick update to fix a few of the more obvious joins in the Libya terrain.

Also adds in some of the framework for infantry units.

MissionExpansion beta update

Probably the final update for this beta....

1. Added a map to the Libya missiona area. It is a height map rather than a satellite map where darker colours are lower terrain and brighter colors are higher terrain. Should allow you to plan your mission using the many valleys etc present on the Libya map.

2. Fixed a major bug on the Steam Deck to do with GPU instancing so you can now fly the Hind and run with either the ground clutter on or off.

3. Fixed the Mi-24D cargo area so you can now load cargo correctly.

4. Fixed one of the laser pointers on the AH-64D that wasn't pointing at the correct hard point.

5. Clean up a whole load of unused objects etc from the Libya map. It should now load pretty quickly and perform better.

Assuming no bugs etc this build will be pushed out to the main branch probably on Friday. I shall now be moving on to the "Infantry" beta which I'm really looking forward to doing as it will add a significant amount of new stuff to the game! ːsteamsunnyː
