EA Update 10: The Endless Summer Update!

[p]Hello everyone! [/p][p][/p][p]The wait is over, Endless Mode is finally here! This update brings a ton of new content to the game, so let’s jump straight into it:[/p][p][/p]
♾️ Endless Mode: new rewards, new dice, new curses!
[p]This new mode is accessible from the title screen (you’ll need to complete a few runs first to unlock it!). Once you start, your goal is simple: reach the highest floor possible![/p][p][/p][p]Endless Mode is split into loops. Every time you reach the final area, you’ll return to Area 1, but enemies will get considerably stronger! That’s not all: a set of Endless-exclusive curses will make even the strongest builds vulnerable. Pick your poison wisely, and keep an eye out for special events where curses can be removed![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🎲 A Powerful Ally: Multitype Dice!
[p]But not all is bad news for our amphibian heroes, a new type of die awaits once you push far enough into Endless Mode: multitype dice! These dice feature two types at the same time, letting you trigger two abilities with a single use. Of course, you can still boost them, mirror them, upgrade them, basically everything you can do with regular dice. But now you’ll get double the power in one roll![/p][p][/p][p]Multitype dice come in several varieties, so we’ll let you discover them for yourself. If you find one that feels especially rare, share it with us in the comments![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🛡️ Meet the Elite: Beetball, the Walking Fortress!
[p]A new elite enemy has rolled into the dungeon: Beetball! Alongside Red Hood, this is part of the first wave of elites that will appear in both regular and Endless runs.[/p][p][/p][p]Like regular Bigtles, Beetball’s abilities revolve around block values... but with a twist. If you ever stack more block than him, he can power up even further! Be cautious with your Block Dice, or you might trigger a punishing counterattack.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🗒️ Full Changelog for Build 113.0f1 (4.3.0)
Preview of EA Update 10 (Endless!) & Price Increase

[p]Hello everyone! 🐸[/p][p][/p][p]The next big update is just around the corner, and we wanted to take a moment to show off all the new stuff that's coming your way![/p][p][/p]
But first of all, we have an important announcement to make: on August 21st, Die in the Dungeon price will be updated, from $12.99 to $14.99.
[p][/p][p]As we mentioned in the Early Access section of the game page, we believe the price should reflect the amount of content and replayability the game offers in its current state. That's why we're making this change now.[/p][p][/p][p]That said, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to pick up the game at a lower price, which is why we’ve applied a 25% discount that will be active until August 21st.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]We're planning to keep adding updates and new content all the way until the 1.0 launch next year, so big thanks to everyone who's supported the game so far![/p][p][/p][p]And talking about updates...[/p][p][/p]
Endless Summer Update is coming this Sunday, August 10!!
[p]
That's right, we've already shipped 9 content updates since February 21st (launch day), and this weekend brings another huge one! But first, let's take a quick look back at the content added since release:[/p][p][/p]
🤔 What’s been added so far?
[p]- Updates 1, 2 and 3 were focused on improving stability, implementing UI enhancements (like a better view of dice in your deck) and adjusting the difficulty balance of D1. Two new difficulty levels were implemented: D5 and D6. Finally, various optimizations improved the game performance.[/p][p]- Updates 4, 5 and 6 introduced multiple new relics and curses, while also improving the loading times between tiles and squashing a big numbers of bugs and other issues.[/p][p]- Update 7 was focused on a new feature: potions! 35 new potions were added to the game, including 10 super potions for bosses. [/p][p]- Update 8 featured two new relics, one new potion (the winner of the create-a-potion event) and the ultimate challenge for adventurous frogs: D7 difficulty![/p][p]- Update 9 was published last month, and it was all about relics. More than 25 relics were reworked, also including redesigned art and big, beautiful backgrounds and animations for Area 2 and 3.[/p][p][/p]
♾️ Update 10 preview: Endless Mode is here!
[p]Endless Mode will introduce brand new rewards, elite enemies, dangerous curses and even some exclusive, powerful new dice! [/p][p][/p][p]Remember, there's no map on endless mode, so your only goal will be to reach the highest floor while tackling ever-evolving challenges. A fun new mode reminiscent of CLASSIC and Origins gameplay, but with all the new features of the main game![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🏹 Update 10 preview: meet the Red Hood, an elite threat!
[p]Endless Mode introduces a new kind of threat: elite enemies. These tougher foes have unique behaviors and reactive modifiers.[/p][p][/p][p]Red Hood is part of this first batch of enemies. She's the Shyder's older (and much meaner) sister. If you walk into an elite battle and see two Shyders waiting... she might not be far behind. Especially dangerous when Tangled slots are in play![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
📅 What's coming next?
[p]With Endless mode almost here, you might be wondering what other features might be coming for Die in the Dungeon, right? Well, we managed to get our hands on some unsupervised Dungeon Blueprints, and it seems like there's many yet-to-be-explored places awaiting our amphibian heroes![/p][p][/p][p]- 🎮 Controller support. We’re ironing out the last few bugs and plan to move it from beta to the main branch soon (including Steam Deck improvements!).[/p][p]- ⚠️ New Events. Many events are getting a full rework. Expect better rewards, more meaningful choices, and maybe even the return of dice rolls (like in Origins!).[/p][p]- 📜 Bestiary & Lore. The missing Codex section is coming! Learn about all the dungeon's weird inhabitants, and uncover more about Cinder, Lisver, Mango, and the world around the dungeon.[/p][p]- 🐉 More Elite Enemies. Red Hood's just the beginning. New elite enemies will appear across all areas. Rumors even mention a Dragonfly nest somewhere down there...[/p][p]- 🗝️ Secrets! What's a roguelike without a few hidden paths here and there? We don't want to spoil anything just yet, but traversing the dungeon will definitely get more interesting once you start to uncover the many hidden passages and shortcuts it contains.[/p][p][/p][p]And with that, we're done with... wait, what's that? Something's moving in the shadows. Is that... a frog!?[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]● ● ●[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks so much for playing, and for all your support, we couldn’t do this without you. The Endless Summer update arrives this Sunday, we hope you love it as much as we do![/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for playing! 🐸💚[/p][p]- the ATICO team[/p]

I'm obsessed with new roguelike Die in the Dungeon, and it just got even better

I'm continually impressed by the ability of people to come up with new ways to use dice. Dicey Dungeons remains an all-time classic, Dice and Fold uses the eponymous chance cubes to play out a distinctive dungeon crawler, and Lost in Random builds a whole fantasy adventure from them. Right now, however, my brain is filled with Die in the Dungeon, weaving a web of interconnected rolls to bring down my foes. The early-access roguelike has its hooks under my skin, holds a 91% Steam review score, and its new update is a great excuse to give it a try.
