Bought the Remake? Guide to Launching it!

[p]Hey All! It's hard to imagine that it's been 2 weeks since the launch of the remake, that being said. I noticed a lot of people accidentally playing the original For What Will Come instead of the Reimagined version.

Here is a little guide on how to do so!

Make sure you have the DLC downloaded

Upon purchasing the remake, it might not download automatically, you will need to manually select the dlc and download it.

1. Right-click the game in your steam library, and select Properties.

Go under the 'DLC' Tab and make sure the dlc is checked as seen below.
2. Select the launch option.
[/p][p]Then under the general tab, select 'Ask When Starting Game' as shown in picture below. [/p][p]This will allow you to select between the Original and the Re-imagined before launching the game. Or you can simply just select What version you prefer to launch.

A Small Request

[p]If you’ve played For What Will Come: Reimagined already, whether you enjoyed it or not. I’d love it if you could leave a review on the DLC’s Steam page.[/p][p]Reviews are one of the biggest factors in helping small indie projects like this gain visibility. Even a short sentence or a simple thumbs up/down makes a huge difference in helping new players discover the game.[/p][p]Thank you so much for giving it a try and supporting me, every bit of feedback matters. 💙

For What Will Come: Reimagined – Best Settings & Version Selection Guide

[p]Welcome! This guide will help you get the smoothest experience in For What Will Come: Reimagined and show you how to choose which version/branch of the game you want to run through Steam.

The game is built in Unreal Engine 5 and uses advanced features like Lumen and Nanite. To balance visuals and performance, here are some tips:[/p][p][/p][p]How to Launch the Remake:

Right-click the game in your steam library, and select Properties.
Then under the general tab, select Ask When Starting Game as shown in picture below. [/p][p]This will allow you to select between the Original and the Re-imagined before launching the game. Or you can simply just select What version you prefer to launch.[/p][p][/p][p]Most Impactful settings:[/p][p][/p][p]Switching Anti-Aliasing from TSR to TAA can provide a significant boost in performance, with only a minor drop in visual quality. If you’re experiencing low FPS, this is the first setting I recommend adjusting.

Along with that, DLSS for those with 20 series NVIDIA GPU's while seemingly hated, does help as well. The resolution scale with DLSS, 100 = DLAA, and balanced, and performance modes are lower values.

Disabling features like Lumen can also improve performance, but be aware that this will greatly reduce the game’s visual quality and atmosphere.[/p][p][/p][p] As always, I will strive to help and fix bugs as they come in, and continue to optimize to the best of my ability.[/p][p] [/p][p]Best regards,
