For What Will Come: Reimagined – Best Settings & Version Selection Guide
[p]Welcome! This guide will help you get the smoothest experience in For What Will Come: Reimagined and show you how to choose which version/branch of the game you want to run through Steam.
The game is built in Unreal Engine 5 and uses advanced features like Lumen and Nanite. To balance visuals and performance, here are some tips:[/p][p][/p][p]How to Launch the Remake:
Right-click the game in your steam library, and select Properties.
Then under the general tab, select Ask When Starting Game as shown in picture below.
[/p][p]This will allow you to select between the Original and the Re-imagined before launching the game. Or you can simply just select What version you prefer to launch.[/p][p][/p][p]Most Impactful settings:[/p][p]
[/p][p]Switching Anti-Aliasing from TSR to TAA can provide a significant boost in performance, with only a minor drop in visual quality. If you’re experiencing low FPS, this is the first setting I recommend adjusting.
Along with that, DLSS for those with 20 series NVIDIA GPU's while seemingly hated, does help as well. The resolution scale with DLSS, 100 = DLAA, and balanced, and performance modes are lower values.
Disabling features like Lumen can also improve performance, but be aware that this will greatly reduce the game’s visual quality and atmosphere.[/p][p]
[/p][p] As always, I will strive to help and fix bugs as they come in, and continue to optimize to the best of my ability.[/p][p] [/p][p]Best regards,
