Territory – Alpha 6.26 – Water

[h3]Dirty Water and Clean Water[/h3]
  • All lakes and dams are now dirty water sources.
  • You can drink dirty water in an emergency and it will fill your thirst 8 points but decrease health 25 points.
  • You cannot fill metal water bottle containers with dirty water.
  • Players will need to find a clean water source (wells or tanks) to fill their water containers or craft their own water (rain) catcher.
  • Wooden wells can no longer be crafted. I will look at this later possibly using it as a water storage that you transfer water to from the rain catcher or something like that.
  • A more advanced later game stage water making system will come in due time.
  • Water/Rain Catcher craft balanced – it is now:

150 Wood
20 Tarp
1 Duct Tape
2 Rope

Clean water tank sources have been added to each of the military bases. You can try to fill your containers there… if you dare!


There are also clean water wells located at the Large Hunter Cabins
These water sources are limited but you should be able to fill your containers there most of the time.


[h3]Plastic Dirty water bottle[/h3]



  • You can fill empty clean plastic water bottles at dirty water sources which will give you a filled dirty water bottle. You can then boil the water on a cooking device (Campfire or Gas Stove) to purify it enough to drink. This is not a fast process. (Campfire 3 mins, Gas Stove 90 secs, Chemical Station 60 secs)
  • You can fill empty dirty plastic bottles at a clean water source to recieve a clean plastic water bottle.

  • Thirst and Hunger damage now decreases health 5 points every 25 seconds. Therefore, if you’re at 0 thirst or hunger you will start dying but slowly enough that you should at least be able to keep yourself alive for long enough to come up with a solution.
  • Plastic water bottle now only has 1 consumable use of 30 thirst points.
  • Rope craft adjusted – is now 35 plant fibre and 1 duct tape
  • Tarp and plastic spawns increased a little
  • Tweaked Origins fog
  • Reduced dust and snow trail sound effect volume
  • Map Icon colour scheme changed to be less wacky

  • POI’s not showing on compass – they now show on compass when player is within 250m
  • Water volume and drink zone scale
  • Tree stumps too dark
