  • [p]Fixed a bug where upgrade statues on Odin Shell couldn’t be upgraded[/p]
  • [p]Rebuilt collection data for Greenvor, so chest counts on the map are correct[/p]
  • [p]Removed Yeebles in Arcadia, Dustlanger, and Greenvor[/p]
  • [p]The Frostfire bow now has a chance to spawn a bomb on hit. Flaming arrows guarantee a bomb on hit[/p]

[p]Runari, so good to see you again! We had a wonderful winter break and are back at it with more updates to Cloudheim:
  [/p][p]Save Game Reliability[/p]
  • [p]Improved save system to avoid corruption from power outages, crashes, and other disk write failures[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where a corrupt save would prevent characters from displaying in the main menu[/p]
  • [p]Your most recent autosave is now always stored in /Backup/Latest

[p]Weapon Material Quality[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where crafted weapons could have their material quality reset when traveling[/p]
  • [p]To help players who may have been affected by the bug, we are doing a one time upgrade on crafted weapons to a minimum material quality based on the furthest island you have visited:[/p]
    • [p]Dustlanger - Upgraded to Copper[/p]
    • [p]Greenvor - Upgraded to Rubite[/p]
    • [p]Frostvaldr - Upgraded to Obsidian[/p]
  • [p]You might need to travel once for this upgrade to fully take effect[/p]

  • [p]Reduced unnecessary logging to avoid large log files[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where a certain character could be invisible to the host on Odin Shell[/p]
  • [p]Fixed two chests on Greenvor[/p]

  • [p]Hid Quest Curios from the Storage:All tab in the Inventory to reduce clutter (they can still be found in the Quest tab of the Inventory)[/p]

Frostfall Changes[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with Frostfall Presents containing Skills or Decorations, where they could be missing from the Equipment screen or show as ‘Out Of Stock’[/p]
  • [p]Added gift tags to the Frostfall Presents (they’ll now show up in your mail box)[/p]
  • [p]Reduced Bauble Knight armor by 40%[/p]
  • [p]Ice Crystals now fully heal the player[/p]
  • [p]Hollow Ice Skate and Grobb Express hats now fit better on different characters[/p]

  • [p]Added or improved hit feedback on dozens of skills and attacks[/p]
  • [p]Blizzard and Incinerating Beams now have upgraded visuals when you have the Mega Beam enchant[/p]
  • [p]Modified Force Bolt to use a staged impulse sequence that makes it far more effective[/p]
  • [p]Increased Force Bolt armor damage[/p]
  • [p]Added an Ice variant of the Follow Up skill (can be found on the Frostlight weapon)[/p]
  • [p]Added Naruga, an introductory boss, to the Arcadia Proving Grounds[/p]

  • [p]Improved loot feedback on weapons and skills in combat[/p]

  • [p]Removed the Selling Recommended label on items since it can be misleading[/p]
  • [p]Elemental bosses now have increased odds to drop weapons matching their element[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an old description on the Sword & Shield trait[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a selection highlighting bug in the News and Mail screens[/p]
  • [p]Increased the required strength for a boss to show a defeated banner and reduced banner duration[/p]

Cloudheim Update 8 and Winter Break!

[p]It’s been a huge year for Cloudheim. In 2025, the game was announced, launched into Closed Beta, moved into Open Beta, a demo at Steam Next Fest, and then finally landed in Early Access just two weeks ago.[/p][p][/p][p]Along the way, it has been an absolute joy meeting players and sharing Cloudheim at BitSummit, Gamescom, and Tokyo Game Show, plus getting to know so many more of you online.[/p][p][/p][p]Over the last two weeks alone, Cloudheim has received eight updates, including Frostfall, our winter event, Cross World XP, game pausing, multiple loot chests on Odin Shell, a brand new character named Hango, a reworked tutorial, a new player stats screen, and fixed loads of bugs. [/p][p][/p][p]From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey with us. We said we built Cloudheim for you, the players, and that promise has guided every step of the journey. Everyone at Noodle Cat started making games to bring joy to players, and seeing your excitement, feedback, and kind words has been the best reward imaginable.
[/p][p]Update 8 will be our last update of the year (probably, devs can always go rogue) as the team heads into Winter Break. We will still be around to answer questions and chat, but please note we will be slower to respond as we take some time to recharge before diving back into updates in January.

Save Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed most cases where your character is invisible or when the Appearance menu shows all characters greyed out. Please report it if you encounter it again so we can investigate![/p]
  • [p]Added a warning on game start up if you are low on storage space, which might cause problems with autosaving[/p]
  • [p]If a corrupted or empty save is encountered, we now automatically restore the most recent autosave for that file[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some issues with the timing of applying cross world progression that could cause your level to appear to be reset until you traveled once[/p]
[h3]Loot Improvements[/h3]
  • [p]Bosses can now drop a wide assortment of weapons and lockboxes[/p]
  • [p]Increased the drop rate of World Stars from bosses by 38%[/p]
  • [p]Looted event weapons no longer show up in your Bifrost Chest and make you claim them again, which was making it look like they could be sold[/p]
[h3]Frostfall Improvements[/h3]
  • [p]Healing ice crystals in the Bauble Knight fight are now easier to break, and can be broken with evade[/p]
  • [p]Increased Jingle Bell drop rate in Frostfall Castle to 3x their previous rate, but they still have a much higher drop rate outside of the dungeon[/p]
  • [p]Visual polish on the Hollow Ice Skate and Grobb Express emotes[/p]
[h3]General Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that could cause non-homing projectiles to go the wrong direction when used immediately after kicking an enemy that gets impulsed while it is still in its initial launch[/p]
  • [p]Spinning Ice Kick now gets a unique upgrade from Power Kick, instead of causing it to behave like an enhanced normal kick[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where “Retrieve Collected Loot” on the Bifrost Chest didn’t do anything[/p]
  • [p]The Prospecting Site should now receive the same bonuses from the Mining Guild as Sky Materials with the Rock Jock upgrades[/p]
  • [p]The Garden Plot should now properly spawn higher value herbs and flowers with the Green Thumb upgrade[/p]
  • [p]Secret Chests can now be opened with hits from projectile weapons like Bows or Mining Daggers[/p]
  • [p]Bigshot's laser attack can no longer hit players through walls[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an additional case in which the final two chests and lasso shrine in Dustlanger would remain locked[/p]
  • [p]Properly fixed an visual issue in Dustlanger after the main questline’s completion[/p]
  • [p]Some art polish on Dustlanger[/p]
  • [p]Removed unexpected boss music from an area on Dustlanger with no boss fight[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a chest in the Cavern on Greenvor[/p]
  • [p]Improved the arrow spawn location for a few bows that were slightly offset[/p][p] [/p]
