Dev Note vol.16│ We’d Like to Hear Your Thoughts on the Multi-Hit Stats

Greetings, Descendants. This is the Director of The First Descendant, Minseok Joo.

We’re currently seeking your feedback on how to apply the Multi-Hit Chance and Multi-Hit Damage stats for Weapon Core.

To expand the build diversity for weapons, we’re preparing to add Multi-Hit Chance and Multi-Hit Damage as new stats to Weapon Readjustment option and Weapon Core.

At this stage, we are considering including these two stats as part of the options for the Firepower Augmentation Core.

We hope this change will offer more flexibility when setting up multi-hit weapons.

Weapon Readjustment

Weapon Core

However, we’re also aware that adding these stats to the existing Firepower Augmentation Core may lower the probability of obtaining other popular options, such as Firearm ATK, which many Descendants currently prefer.

To address this concern, we are also exploring the following alternatives:

- Separating a new type of core specifically for multi-hit stats from existing cores

- Allowing existing weapons to use the new type of core in Free Slots

- Adding a dedicated slot for the new type of core in future weapons released through upcoming updates

As this feature is still in the planning phase, we’re open to a range of possibilities.

We’d like to hear your thoughts so we can move forward in the best direction possible.

How to Share Your Feedback

- Discord: Please leave your comments freely on our feedback channel update-sampler

- X / YouTube Community: You can also leave your thoughts in the comment section of the posts on each channel

We’ll do our best to refine this feature based on the valuable feedback from all Descendants.

Thank you.

Director’s Comment │ Development Status and Upcoming Updates

Greetings, Descendants. This is the Director of The First Descendant, Minseok Joo.

Lately, you may have found yourself thinking,
“There’s not much to do in the game these days—has development come to a stop?”

It’s completely natural to feel that way during quieter times like this,
and we truly understand and share those concerns.

Right now, our team is fully focused on the development of the Season 3 update.
There were discussions about having smaller and quicker updates in the meantime,
but we ultimately decided that doing so might compromise the quality of Season 3.
Rather than offering temporary fixes, we chose to concentrate our efforts on making Season 3 the best it can be.

However, that doesn’t mean we’re leaving everything else behind while we work on Season 3.
We’ve been reviewing community feedback, addressing issues, and preparing various improvements in order of priority—
and we’re steadily progressing toward the updates scheduled for May 22 and June 19.

Here’s a closer look at what’s coming up:
1. On Thursday, May 15, we’ll be adjusting the balance for Void Erosion Purge, removing penalties tied to skill attributes.
2. On Thursday, May 22, we’re introducing updates including Dynamic Motion, the Arche Tuning Socket (officially named Mutant Cell), the new Void Abyss Intercept Battle: Ice Maiden, Party Finder, Core Conversion, and Inversion Reinforcement Presets. A 4-week login event is also planned during this period.
3. On Thursday, June 19, we’re working on the External Component Core and a long-term login event.
4. In addition, we’re working to implement a balance patch ahead of Season 3.

The scale of our current updates may feel a bit modest,
but we want to emphasize that each of these steps is part of laying the groundwork for a stronger and more complete Season 3.

We know that no one cares more about the current state of the game than those of you who continue to play our game each day. We’re fully committed to living up to the trust you’ve placed in us.

As always, thank you.
