12/06(Fri) PST Hotfix 1.2.0c Schedule Announcement

Greetings, Descendants.


We are here to inform you about the schedule for Hotfix 1.2.0c.

■ Key Patch Notes

- Improved visibility of Void Vessel Recording Device.

- Changed the entry for Void Vessel Story Mode (Recording Device) from "Seneca" to "Void Vessel Operation Terminal."

- Fixed an issue where players who met the unlock conditions for Void Vessel Hard Mode were unable to enter.

- Fixed an issue where discounts were not applied when purchasing Fellow Bundle if certain items were already owned.

Notice Regarding Season 2 Store Issues and Compensation

Greetings, Descendants.



We’d like to provide additional guidance regarding the discount labels for the Ultimate Bundle and address the issue of discounts not being applied to the Fellow Bundle.

First, we’d like to apologize for the insufficient explanation about the Ultimate Bundle regarding changes to the store introduced with the Season 2 update.

Before the Season 2 update, all Ultimate Bundles already included discounted prices. However, due to legal requirements, we couldn’t label them as "discounted" since not all individual items in the bundle were available for separate purchase.

With the Season 2 update, one of the most requested changes by Descendants—separate purchase for all cosmetic items—has been implemented. As a result, we’ve also added discount labels to the bundled products.

Additionally, we’ve identified an issue where discounts were not properly applied when purchasing the Fellow Bundle while already owning some of the included items.

This issue will be resolved in the upcoming Hotfix 1.2.0c patch, and we’ll be refunding Calibers spent due to this issue. The refund schedule for affected Caliber will be announced in a separate notice.

We sincerely apologize once again for not providing sufficient prior explanations about the store discount labels and for the inconvenience caused by the Fellow Bundle discount issue.

As a token of apology to our Descendants who have experienced inconvenience, we’ll be providing a Crystallization Catalyst.

The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.0b

We are here to inform you about the details of the 1.2.0b hotfix for The First Descendant.

In addition to the patch contents, we are currently preparing fixes for identified issues. Hotfix 1.2.0c is scheduled for December 7 (Saturday). Details will be provided through an announcement at the time of the patch.

- Fixed an issue where the mission "Captured Base" in Vespers could not be cleared.
- Resolved an issue where "Cutlasser" monsters in the "Captured Base" mission in Vespers failed to recognize Descendants.
- Fixed an intermittent issue where the mission "Arche Motion Sensor" in Echo Swamp could not be cleared.
- Addressed an issue where summoned monsters were occasionally invisible during the Void Vessel progression.
- Fixed an issue where some monsters roaming in the Kingston field failed to recognize Descendants.
- Fixed an issue where the Inversion Reinforcement would not activate even after completing the "Anais' Call" quest.
- [English] [European Languages] Corrected a naming error in the shop for "Starter Boost Package".

11/29 (Fri) – 12/5 (Thu) Results of the Crackdown on Abusive Users

Greetings, Descendants.

Here are the results of the crackdown on abusive users carried out between 11/29 (Fri) – 12/5 (Thu).

We're inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.
Additionally, to ensure a pleasant gaming experience, we are planning to strengthen crackdowns on behavior that interferes with the gameplay of other Descendants, such as being excessively AFK.
If you notice any abnormal or abusive behavior while playing, please report it through the in-game report feature.

Please see below for the detailed outcome of the crackdown.

■ Crackdown status
- Crackdown period: 2024.11.29(Fri) – 2024.12.05(Thu) PST

■ Creation, distribution, or use of unauthorized programs - Permanent game ban (40 users)
- Actions have been taken for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.



■ Exploitation of all processes related to the Open Store – Permanent game ban (19 users)
- Actions were taken because of unfair gains by exploitation on store payment process.



■ Exploitation of Freyna's Encrypted Vault Shop Bug – 90-Day game ban (8명)
- It has been confirmed that users exploited a bug in Freyna's Encrypted Vault Shop to obtain excessive rewards. Actions were taken in accordance with the operational policy.
- Rewards that were distributed in excess due to the bug in Freyna's Encrypted Vault Shop will be retrieved sequentially.



■ Interfering with other user's gameplay – 3-day separate matchmaking penalty (808 users)
- A history of repeated interference with other Descendants' gameplay has been confirmed and action has been taken in accordance with the Operation Policy.


■ Notes
- The outcome of the crackdown on abusive users includes enforcement actions taken based on Descendant’s reports and monitoring.
- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the Open Store's payment process, please visit our official website > Customer Service > 1:1 Support and make your inquiry.
- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the payment process through chargebacks, please contact the platform store where you made the payment.

Plans for Season 2 Update Content Issues

Greetings, Descendants.



We are planning to address issues arising from the main content updates in Season 2.
We will provide additional updates to this notice as the preparations progress.


■ Improvement of Misunderstood Participation Conditions Due to Void Vessel Quest Path Issues
The Void Vessel content becomes accessible via the Void Vessel Operations Terminal after completing the quest Unidentified Void Vessel Exploration Mission (Void Vessel tutorial completed once). You can then participate in Void Vessel: Normal and Void Vessel: Hard.

However, due to unclear quest guidance, many players have misunderstood that they must complete the Data Recorder Collection stage to progress. This has caused difficulties for many players attempting to complete the quest.
To address this issue, we plan to implement the following changes in the 1.2.0c hotfix scheduled for Saturday, December 7.

The ‘Collect Recording Devices’ will be converted into a side quest.
The Move to Void Vessel for Data Collection button will now be redirected to the Void Vessel Operations Terminal.
These changes aim to clearly distinguish quests that are not mandatory and help players easily recognize that they can already play Void Vessel Operations.

Additionally, we plan to further refine the ‘Collect Recording Devices’ side quest through a future hotfix for a smoother gameplay experience.
You can freely play the Void Vessel Dungeon via terminal after completing the tutorial once. Players who prioritize combat and farming over story progression can complete this quest later at their convenience.
