CROSS-PLAY with Consoles is Coming 🔃
[h3]OI GITS![/h3][p]We can't believe it either, but the PlayStation & XBOX versions of Speed Freeks are finally getting wrapped up for release this spring 🤘[/p][p]The console version development actually started in 2023 and despite some big bumps along the way, they're almost here.[/p][p][/p][h3]Ok, so what?[/h3][p]What does this mean for PC players? Well, more players in general, and thus more matches to be found.[/p][p]The biggest complaint we see about the game is the lack of players to play with, so this will be a huge win in that department.[/p][p]The console release will also come with a new WAAAGH! Path full of items, which is obviously available to Steam players as well (for free, of course) 👍[/p][p][/p][p]![]()
[/p][h2]Next Patch 🛠️[/h2][p]We're soon releasing a regular update to the Steam version before the console release, so you can expect that in the next couple weeks. The main highlights of this patch are:[/p]![]()

[p]Players can now use the Steam UI to invite their friend to the match their in, or join a match their friend is already in[/p]
- [p]An option to have unrestricted switching teams when creating a match [/p]
[p]When this is enabled, players can switch teams regardless of scores, as long as there is a spot on the other team. This allows friends to more easily play on the same team[/p]
- [p]Improvements to bot behaviour, including having Squigbuggies focus on healing more (plus friendly squigbuggies now have a + sign on HUD instead of a dot)[/p]
- [p]Significant gamepad improvements, including driving, aim assist, and adding a new trigger driving setup as an alternative to joystick driving[/p]
- [p]Workshop and Kustom Rally UI and flow improvements[/p]
- [p]Deffkopta can no longer stun itself[/p]
- [p]And probably other stuff I'm forgetting[/p]
