Gamescom 2023 x Beat Slayer

In the time from August 23-27 the Gamescom 2023 took place in Cologne. Armed with Mia's axe, we were at the start of this year's Home of Indies with Beat Slayer.
And what can we say: It was awesome!

We hit the show floor with a new version of Beat Slayer with new playable levels and new upgrades. And your feedback was fabulous. Thanks to everyone who came by and tried Beat Slayer. An additional big thank you goes to everyone who also wishlisted on Steam to see this little news here. ːsteamhappyː

In addition to the game, we used a kill counter to count all the destroyed robots that were turned into scrap metal during the course of the trade show. Thus, no less than 50,000 bots were destroyed during the entire Gamescom.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed the gamescom demo so much. And for all those who were unfortunately not at the fair, do not worry. We are looking forward to presenting you a public demo here on Steam very soon. So be excited to fight through the stages to the beat of the music very soon. Until then, take a look at our gameplay teaser on Youtube to see the first scenes directly from the game.

Beat Slayer @ GDC23

Last week we've attended the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco.
It was an amazing and astonishing experience, not only because it was our first time there,
but also because we let players play a very early demo of Beat Slayer for the first time ever.

Getting our first direct feedback for the game and meeting new people made this event more than worthwhile.
We gave out brochure with informations about all our games. We spend 8 hours a day talking to all kinds of trade visitors and took lots and lots of pictures of people holding our stunning flamethrower axe replica.

Every single ByteRocker, who's been there gave 100% and it shows.
Hearing "this is definitely the best game here" motivates us even more to deliver the most awesome game we could possibly develop!
Thanks a lot for everyone who visited us at our booth and also to everyone who wishlisted Beat Slayer!

If you're interested you can wishlist the game, here:

It helps us a lot and also keeps you up to date with all the news regarding the game.

Thanks for reading and see you next time!

Creating your own symphony of destruction @GDC2023

"We are thrilled to announce our new game: Beat Slayer, a rhythmic roguelike hack n’ slay game.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

We will be attending the Game Developers Conference 2023 in San Francisco to showcase our progress and get your feedback.
Beat Slayer is a game that combines rhythm and fighting in a unique way. You have to match your moves to the beat of the soundtrack, while using crazy weapons like the flamethrowing axe to destroy hordes of robots. The game is set in a dystopian 80s inspired Berlin, where you play as Mia, a badass music lover and crafty tinkerer.
We are excited to let you try our demo at our booth.
You will be able to experience some of the locations, challenges and tunes that we have created so far for Beat Slayer. You will also be able to see one of the weapons that we are planning to add in the future.

If you are interested in Beat Slayer and want to support us, you can wishlist it now on Steam and follow us on social media for more updates.
