Important Update
[h2]Hey capybaras![/h2]
I'm Yann, one of the devs behind Extremely Powerful Capybaras. I'm here representing our enormous team (six people) at Studio Bravarda to give you all some news about where the game is heading and updates on the release date.
First of all, we've been a little silent the last weeks because we were taking all the feedback you all sent during Steam Next Fest and the weeks after (thank you!) and analyzing everything and making a lot of decisions about the where we were going to take the game.
[h3]The most important decision is:[/h3]
We're postponing the release of the game to the first-half of 2023. By far, what you folks requested the most was more content. So we decided to give ourselves more development time so we can release the game with more abilities, more capybaras, and overall more stuff to do in the game. The main gameplay experience will remain the same, we're just adding lots of meat to it!
[h3]Second important decision is: [/h3]
We're taking a good look at bringing online multiplayer to the game. The other most requested feature! We know we're not going to deliver it by the the game's release though, we're trying to be realistic about this goal and, since we don't have much experience with online, we're going to take our time to deliver this feature right. We'll bring more news about it as soon as we're able to!
[h3]Third important decision is: [/h3]
Ugh, we can't tell it yet! Something really awesome happened that is going to make the game be much, much better, but we can't officially announce it yet. What we can say is keep tuned to our social media and join our Discord to keep track, lots of cool stuff is going to happen to this game.
[h3]Fourth important decision: [/h3]
We're going all in on the different capybara classes. We want to make this our most important feature, with lots of inspiration on Final Fantasy Tactic's Jobs system, but with capybaras! So expect to see more capybara classes in the coming months, it's been really fun developing it! Here's a sneak-peek!

Bosses! Yes, they will be in the final game. Also more stages, enemies, the whole deal! Here's a sneak peek into some concept art:

This week's update is the last update the Demo is going to receive for some time, since we're fully focused on the game's 1.0 version in the coming months. Still, feel free to keep sending feedback, we're still checking them frequently and the game is becoming a lot better because of it!
