Millennials update #2 – Character creator: customize your own college freshmen!
Hello, Millennials👨‍💻
After our first development update, discussions raged like a storm. You've been very curious as to why we named our game Millennials, and we couldn't leave that question without a proper response. It happens to be a much wider topic than we thought, so we had to give you a more detailed answer. You'll find our explanation down below, so be sure to read till the end, not to miss it!

Before we proceed to the main course, I'd like to thank you guys for a warm welcome under our first devlog! Your feedback is always appreciated, so don't hesitate this time as well. For those who haven’t seen our trailer, you can watch it HERE.

As we’re constantly developing our game, today it’s time to show you a new set of features as an introduction to the game. Without wasting time, let's head to the update.
Character Creator
Hey, you. Yes, you. Do you want to see something cool?

Take a look, it’s our latest invention – a Character Creator, where you can make and customize your own college freshmen! Don’t worry if you change your mind about their looks. You can modify him or her whenever you want while playing.
Remember that the character creator is still in the development phase, but we wanted to show you the first look at a few options this tool will bring to the game.
Character customization allows you to freely manipulate skin color, face attributes, hair color, makeup, tattoos, and more. Let your imagination run wild, and dive into the creation process.
Animations
A set of good animations can truly breathe life into a video game. We still have a long way to go, but since the last devlog we’ve made some progress in teaching our NPCs to move. Look at the first glimpse of in-game movements and see how they walk, talk, dance, and even argue with each other.
Performance and recreation
Last time we took you for a little walk through the arts faculty. Today, it’s time for a little chat about performance and recreation. Let me clarify, it’s Human Performance and Recreation. It’s a space for everything to do with movement, games, and exercise.

In Millennials, we care about sports, that's why we decided to let you choose what discipline appeals to you the most. Pick between rugby, basketball and more. Think whether you want to take part in regular classes or call out for a casual game.
Faculty Administration
As a player, you’ll have to deal with some bureaucracy. In the life of every student, there comes a time when you have to visit the dean’s office. However, Administration faculty isn’t just that, it has an adjoining cafeteria which offers warm drinks and meals – as well as a nice spot for studying.,
Classroom
What kind of student are you? Someone who passes the term by the skin of their teeth, or a conscientious teacher’s pet? Or maybe something in-between? I never missed a class but never got above a B+, sadly… It’s up to you to steer your freshman in the right direction, just keep in mind: without decent grades, you won’t succeed!
Activities
Act like you know – for those who want to deepen skills related to theater, art, creativity, or improvisation we have something special. Consider joining “Theater and Arts club” and maybe you’ll be a future movie star.
Why Millennials and not Gen Z
We’ve seen that many of you have been asking the same question: “Is this game really about Millennials?”. We understand the confusion, because judging solely by the trailer, the timeline doesn’t seem to be set in stone. Our game is set in the early 2000s, and the main point of it is to relive the memories of being a college student in that period. We know that the precise definition of when a generation begins and ends varies from source to source, but we can assure you that our team is doing their best to recreate this fascinating era. We want people of all ages to experience things that made this generation unique:
Y2K and the technological boom of mobile phones and gaming in general
The rise of internet and the humble beginnings of social media
The dominance of Pop and Hip-Hop in music industry
The bold and fancy fashion choices
The evolution of pop-culture and social communities.

So to sum up, the answer is “Yes” – the game is about Millennials. We hope that this clarifies things a bit and that the future updates will make more sense.
Keep up to date
That would be it for today, guys. We hope that you liked our little showcase, and you’re ready for more in the future. We’d also like to know if choosing the early 2000s as the setting makes you more or less interested in our game as a whole – it is set in stone, but we’re always interested in hearing your feedback. If something remains unclear, catch us in the comment section below, we’ll try to answer as fast as possible.

If you want to keep up to date, remember to check our social media, join our discord sever and wishlist us on Steam – you won’t miss any future update this way.
