Roadmap Reveal šŸŽ® A message from devs

Greetings, Gatekeepers!
Gatekeeper will launch in Early Access.
Yes, we realize that this decision may have its flaws, but we believe it is the right one. Please keep in mind that we are a tiny studio of 4 people: we genuinely want to bring the game to a perfect state, and without a constant flow of feedback from a lot of players this is nearly impossible under our circumstances.

Gatekeeper will be in Early Access for about a year, and during this year we'll be polishing the game, tweaking the balance and adding new content based on your reports. After all, that's what Early Access was originally designed for, not as an excuse for raw and buggy releases (which we hope is not our case at all). It will be a long but interesting journey, so let's make the most of it together!

In the initial days or weeks following the release, we'll focus on patching the game and fine-tuning the balance. After that, we'll dive straight into creating new content. We're eager to roll out the first major update on Steam as soon as possible!

New sequel to 92% rated roguelite game enters early access soon

Releasing into Steam Early Access next month, Gatekeeper is an indie roguelite shooter that blends the frantic, panic-inducing, and overwhelming hordes of Vampire Survivors with the sci-fi aesthetic of Risk of Rain, coalescing to create a unique roguelite experience. Despite seeming like a new release, Gatekeeper is actually the sequel to last year's Gatekeeper: Infinity, an incredibly well-reviewed game that acts as a prologue to Gatekeeper itself.

Promising sci-fi Diablo style roguelike adds a splash of Helldivers

Blending the top-down action RPG combat of Diablo with a futuristic sci-fi setting, upcoming Steam roguelike game Gatekeeper is one I've had my eye on for a while. While its melee focused classes lean more towards the Blizzard ARPG in how they play, however, its newest addition feels much more akin to Helldivers - especially Arrowhead's first, also top-down outing for that series - with a satisfying shotgun and the ability to call down satellite bombardments.

Dev Blog #3 - Meet New Hero!
Hello, Gatekeepers!

As we approach the release (stay tuned for more news), we're excited to introduce our new upcoming character - Tech Hunter.
Tech Hunter is swift, armed with a shotgun, and acquires new gear from defeated enemies! Learn more about his unique abilities:

The shotgun has a low rate of fire, but shoots over an area, and each pellet is a separate projectile.

A vacuum grenade is also in the arsenal. Throw the grenade to any visible distance. The vacuum first pulls all enemies within its radius towards it, then deals area damage.

Things may quickly go off a plan, so having an orbital strike from a satellite is a must. You can mark any enemy or location point, and after a brief delay, the marked area will be bombarded.

Following the previous point, Tech Hunter can immediately return to whatever place he marked previously, getting off the fight or quickly traversing to points of interest.

And finally, his passive ability allows you to extract artifacts directly from defeated enemies! Which, in my opinion, is pretty cool.

Hope you will enjoy the character and find ways to overpower. Have a good one!
