Dev Log Vol. 9

Hello, soldiers!
Greetings from the Warhaven dev team!

It has already been a month since our last dev log.
We hope you’ve enjoyed fighting on the battlefield as Bard, the new character we added last week.
We’ve received some questions asking ”What will happen to Warhaven in the future?”
That is why we would like to briefly share our plans for future updates and a few additional thoughts.
1. Regular Update Intervals
• Warhaven will begin a new season every 3 months, which will provide players with more exciting and diverse content to enjoy.
  • However, the next new character will be added in 2 months.

    • A new character and new map or mode will be added every season.
    • The new game mode added during a season could be a permanent mode or a temporary event mode.
    • New modes will be permanent when we feel they bring long-term enjoyment to Warhaven’s playerbase.
    • Event modes will have unique and fun rules that you won’t normally expect in Warhaven. We hope you look forward to them!
2.Season Update Plan
• Check out our future update plan at a glance!
  • New characters with their own unique appeal and new battlefields or modes will be added every 3 months, so look forward to our future updates!
  • The next new character after Bard is eager to make their debut on the battlefield, and will be appearing in 2 months.
3. Balance Changes
• There will be periodic updates to adjust the balance of Warhaven’s gameplay.
    For Example:
    - There won’t be major changes to the characters’ intended battlefield roles, but we will implement perk changes to adjust how characters are played.
    - We will also adjust how matches play out by adding or changing Relics.
  • Balance adjustments will be implemented frequently.
    - Please note that there may be a difference between the balance intended by the dev team and the actual gameplay experienced by the players.
    - We plan to make frequent updates with necessary balance adjustments to respond to player feedback and adjust the live gameplay balance.
4. Addressing Hacks
• Since Warhaven isn’t a shooting game structured around guns, it’s difficult for unauthorized programs (hereafter referred to as hacks) to be employed. We are also constantly monitoring for the use of unauthorized programs.
  • Even if malicious users use hacks from the client side of Warhaven, it won’t work as well since most hits are registered by the server.
  • We are also constantly monitoring for the use of unauthorized programs.
  • Malicious users that attempt to use hacks despite that will be dealt with severely according to the TOS.
  • Unauthorized Program Restriction Announcement [Link]
  • When suspect gameplay occurs or situations where the use of unauthorized programs or cheats are discovered, please report the players involved and we will begin an immediate investigation.
  • If you have a recording of a suspicious encounter, please forward it to the Customer Support Center.
  • We will also fix bugs that disrupt fair gameplay with the highest priority.

The dev team values player feedback and wants to encourage fair and balanced gameplay.
We will make an effort to implement great suggestions made by our players through various channels.

Thank you,
The Warhaven Dev Team
