Development Branch Update v0.501

Hi adventurers,

v0.501 is now available on the development branch:

  • Added active modifiers display in the heroes traits tab
  • Fixed issues with statistics modifiers stacking, now multiple speed bonus are properly applied
  • Fixed an issue with custom storages not properly reset when switching from multiple saves

  • Added a new growing system, with a specific construction menu for it
  • Added new plants to grow
  • Added the apothecary workshop allowing to create potions
  • Added the "Brew Potions" new job
  • Added Heal potions when starting a new game
  • Added a new game option to control plants growing speed
  • Added a "Cut Plants" zone, making units to automatically cut fully grown plants in the area
  • Added the ability to create customized storage zones
  • Fixed an issue with a the job priority tutorial step not properly validated
  • Fixed an issue with storage zones not always properly sorted to find the best spot for an object

Development Branch

Hi adventurers,

Good news, the first post launch update is almost ready! It's officially the "Potions Update", mostly adding inventories to heroes and the ability to craft and equip potions. But there's a lot more in this update (a total revamp of the plant growing system, customizable storage, etc...). I'll give more details when it will be available of course.

In the meantime, I'm creating a specific Development branch on Steam for you to test in advance new features like that. It will allow me to beta test my updates before making them available for everyone.

Hi adventurers,

I wanted to thank you for all your feedback! As you may know, in-game you can open a feedback menu and send me a note. When you're using this feature from the game, I actually receive your message, a save from the game made just before sending the data, and your log file.

It allows me to quickly check and reproduce a problem if it's what you're reporting, and it feeds me with a lot of interesting saves for me to use for testing new features or improvements, and validates that my modifications don't break your games.



Here's how it looks on my side, it populates a Trello board. The "Backlog" part is cards I received and haven't checked yet, or the ones I keep until I work on the issue it reports. And then I move the card on the "Archive" part.

So far I received approximately 400 feedback this way since opening the playtest of the game! And all my day's work on the game starts by checking the new cards.

So, what are you mostly asking for? So far, you mostly agree on two things:
  • You want to be able to move furniture, and I totally agree that it's needed. It has been on my todo for a long time, but I definitely moved it to a higher priority following all the feedback I received for it. In the same category, you're also asking to be able to upgrade buildings instead of destroying and rebuilding. It's actually not something I was planning, but I added it to my todo and I'll see how it could be done.
  • You want a better resource and stack management, with the ability to customize stock piles, and more generally have less stacks to manage. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement here and it's part of my todo. You're also asking for vaults or chests to actually store resources more easily. I was not planning it at all and I'm still not sure how it could be implemented, but don't hesitate if you have specific ideas in this area, I'm really interested in what you think about this topic.

Apart from that, you're mostly asking for consumables and equipment, and well it's what I'm planning for the first major update of the game and I'm currently working on it, so stay tuned for this topic!

Game & Demo Update v0.434

  • Fixed an issue causing units to not be able to find a place to eat and stay stuck
  • Fixed an issue causing units to not always be in the same order in the portrait list and menus
