Patch notes for version 0.205
Bonjour folks!
Another little patch-lette. Details below :
Version 0.205 - June 2nd
• Improved visuals on interactables (lamps over buttons)
 • Further improvements to the pause menu controls layout
 • Made skipping cutscenes easier by allowing skip, pause, back and codex to be pressed

Steam Deck Compatible!

Howdy Howdy howdy

You'll no doubt be pleased to hear that Schrodinger's Cat Burglar works great on the Steam Deck.

If you have trouble running the game, setting Compatibility to Proton 9.0 should do the trick.

Currently the control information still shows keyboard bindings if no keyboard is connected. That's on the list of things to improve!

If the framerate is a little low I recommend making sure Fur Quality is set to Off, and reducing Graphics quality to Medium or so.

Have fun, you crazy cats!

Patch notes 0.204

Honk honk!

A little patch to help with the keyboard controls :
- Version 0.204
• Revamped binding menu - now you can filter bindings by type, and you have to apply changes rather than having them occur immediately
 • Added menu function controls to the pause screen controls
 • Reorganized menu bindings - pause is on Escape, codex is now on Return and back is on Backspace
 • Improved ‘left shift’ and ‘right shift’ icons
 • Made it so that the cat is always cat1 when fused in single player (meaning input prompts are more appropriate)
 • Fixed a few graphical issues
 • Tweaked a few puzzle elements to be more friendly to players

Still more work to do on the inputs front, but hopefully this makes things a bit easier for now!

Camera bug hotfix

Hey folks,

Just a quick note that the camera bug is now fixed in version 0.203.

If anyone is still having problems with the cameras, please let me know!

Thanks,
Martin

Suspected bug with AMD cpus

Hello folks

I've been receiving a lot of reports of people having trouble in the game with a nasty bug.

This bug seems to be exclusive to AMD cpus. (This may not be actual cause, but it's our best guess right now.)

The game features an observation mechanic - when the cat splits into two possible versions, they are both equally plausible until one of them is observed. When that happens, the unobserved version of the cat becomes theoretical.

At least, this is how it's supposed to work.

It seems people using AMD cpus are having to wait for two to three minutes before the observation system realises the cat is being observed.

This renders the game pretty much unplayable (unless you have the patience of a saint).

I'm truly sorry for this - this bug has never affected the team during development, and it never occurred to any of our playtesters before launch.

We're working hard to track down the cause of the issue, and will put another announcement out when there's more (hopefully good) news.

Thanks as ever for your interest in our game!
