Yet another hotfix for version 1.4, this time only focusing on player issues with their save file.

• Improved texture memory usage used by background assets (suspected to be causing a longer loading screen and potentially crashes on some machines)
  
• A new progression file backup save system (to prevent progression data loss)

Some additional bug fixes following our big update 1.4, also including a tentative fix to an issue that's been around for a while.

TENTATIVE BUG FIX - Tentatively fixing a rare bug that can happen after power surges or crashes, resulting in players losing their Spiritographer level and Spirit credits, and preventing them from progressing further. If you have been affected by this rare issue, please reach out via our Discord to get assistance!

BUG - Fixed eyes being open too wide in certain activity animations
BUG - Antique Lamp on bed sidetable is now unlocked by default instead of being purchasable, as it's an item used in the default room setup
BUG - Fixed eye movement at bed gaming activity to no longer give the player side eye
BUG - Fixed an issue where the pencil sound effect would trigger for every new letter typed when renaming a to-do list tab, instead of once when text is committed
BUG - Fixed an issue where some checked and deleted to-do tasks would show back up when reopening the game
BUG - Fixed an issue where the Spirit Credits amount shown in avatar and room customization would not update when given Spirit Credits every minute

A couple days ago we released 1.4.0, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive! We're glad this resonates with what our players want. Some of you reported a couple issues that we could fix on the spot, so here's a little patch to fix most of these issues!

Known issue - Some tasks might check/uncheck themselves after selecting a new to-do list tab. This is happening when tasks from previous versions of the game (before 1.4) are still being used. If you're experiencing this issue, simply recreate new tasks instead, and this bug should be gone!

CONTENT - Since some people voiced that the bookshelf didn't match their new asthetic, we quickly added a new bookshelf category to the fireplace area!

Adjustment- Adjusted placement of certain fireplace sidetable items to be more centered on the table
Adjustment - Adjusted Window reading animation to no longer have a pillow as it could not change color
BUG - Fixed an issue where previewing items would not revert to the default or set item for certain room customization categories
BUG - Fixed Bulbee's eyes in alternate skins that were rendering wrong
BUG - Fixed minor texture error on Gaming Desks
BUG - Fixed minor physics glitch with the updo afro hairstyle
BUG - Fixed some new tracks name in the Refreshing Study Sessions playlist
BUG - Fixed some contrast issues with some window backgrounds
BUG - Removed the mirror near the wardrobe area as it would not show an accurate depiction of the room
BUG - Adjusted color of APE-Bit's hands in it's red skin to no longer have blue tint
BUG - Fixed Spirit positions in their discovery sequences when a crafting cart is equipped as the fireplace sidetable

[h3]New Content[/h3]

• Literally HUNDREDS of new items are now available for room customization! Including items in new categories such as ceiling, wall decors, side tables, and even the scenery outside the window! Customize to your heart's content!
  
  
• TWO NEW activities such as "Gaming" and "Meditating" which have been highly requested! You can also find more combinations of existing activities for your character all across the room!
  
  
• TWO NEW SPIRITS, including APE-bit, are available in your Spiritdex! We can't wait for you to reveal them! New Steam achievements have been added for when they are discovered.
  
  
• A new music playlist is available - Refreshing Study Sessions, specifically tailored for studying/working vibes!
  
  
• 4 new soundscapes are available to help you focus and relax! Drift away to the sounds of Comforting purring, Distant cityscape, Whispering creek and Ocean serenade.
  

[h3]New Features[/h3]

• You can now create multiple lists for your to-do lists! You can create up to 5 lists, rename and reorder them. It's time to sort your work tasks from your personal goals!
  
  
• Speaking of to-do lists, you can also add a due date for your tasks! Perfect for school or work deadlines, or just for knowing what should be pushed to tomorrow
  
  
• Some Spirits can now join you in doing some of the activities around the room! If you're lucky, you may find your favorite Spirit doing your favorite activity!
  

[h3]Quality of Life Improvements/Features[/h3]

• The todo list and pomodoro timer widgets are now movable! Adjust their position where you prefer in the screen and create your perfect setup. The todo list is resizable too! If for some reason you lose them from view, you can always reset their positions with a right-click on the UI button, or from the settings menu.
  
  
• You can now preview items before spending Spirit Credits on them! Good thing, with all the new items coming in!
  
  
• We expanded on the audio settings in-game so that you can more easily tune down or mute certain sounds!
  

[h3]Balance[/h3]

• You now earn 1 Spirit Credit every minute simply by spending time in-game! Gotta make up for all the new items we just added!
  

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

• Fixed an issue where the Spirit eyes would weirdly swap images at the end of petting animations
  
  
• Fixed an issue with "Quick mute all" shortcut where it would not mute all the sounds
  
  
• Fixed an issue where the progression bar for the spiritographer level could appear to have a weird gradient to it.

First off, the team will be taking some well earned rest. We've been working non-stop on the game since launch, so we'll be taking a couple weeks off before jumping back on more updates.
