Hello Spiritographers! We've been hard at work getting our next major update ready. This update is going to be massive, so our timeline has changed slightly since we previously announced it.

We'd like to share some sneak peeks at what's coming in the update!

[h2]Preview Items before purchasing[/h2]
One of the most requested features has been to preview items before purchasing. We're happy to say that this feature is coming in our next update!



When customizing your avatar, room or selecting a skin for your favorite Spirit, you will now be able to see a preview of items before spending Spirit Credits on it. With the massive amount of new room customization items coming, this feature was important to have!

[h2]New Spirit: APE-bit

Meet APE-bit! 🎮🐵
This rambunctious Spirit is the perfect partner when spending an afternoon playing videogames. APE-bit has been adopted as the mascot of the MON-ki Entertainment company, one of the leaders in gaming in Spirit City.
With a new Spirit comes a new achievement when you unlock it!

Take a break and have some fun with the new gaming activity for your avatar! You'll be able to play on your very own MON-ki Pocket handheld device at the bed and fireplace, or on your PC with a mouse and keyboard (not pictured).


[h2]Adjustable Productivity Tools

You'll now be able to scale and reposition your to-do list and timer in game! We hope this helps you create your perfect layout!



[h2]Room Customization[/h2]

This will be the meat of the update! We are expanding room customization to almost all areas of the room.
Some of the new sections you'll be able to customize are;

• Walls decoration near fireplace and bed
  
• Side tables near desk, window, bed and fireplace
  
• Hanging lights
  
• Color of the wood beams and ceiling
  
• Decorations on the beams near the ceiling
  
• and more!

Hello Spiritographers!

In unison with the Steam Summer Sale, we are releasing update 1.3.
This update includes a few quality of life upgrades and a few customization options.
As well, in celebration of Pride Month, we've added new pride-themed clothing items!
You asked and we heard you! We'll do our best to add music in-game that stays indefinitely, instead of rotating playlists! The spring awakening playlist is here to stay!

New content

• New top clothing - Short Sleeve button up
  
• New top clothing - Bardot neck blouse
  
• Pride themed clothing items - socks, tshirts and tank tops
  
• 2 new skins for Arachknit
  
• New Bedsheet colors
  

Quality of life improvements

• Spring Awakening playlist is now permanent! It will always be available in the game.
  
• Soundscape settings are now saved across play sessions
  
• Added a new options in settings to change the clock time format from 24h to 12h
  
• Pomodoro timer can now be set above 60 minutes, up to 500 minutes. (But please consider taking breaks still!)
  

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue with the Waxolotl and Hamstereo Spiritdex descriptions in Simplified Chinese
  
• Fixed a typo in song name "Honeysuckle" by Odem Medo
  

We have also just released a Supporter Pack DLC. This DLC is an additional way to help support us and the development of Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. It includes a unique skin for all the currently available spirits. Please don't feel obligated to purchase this, simply playing and sharing the game is already an amazing way to show your support!

A month ago we ran a feedback survey receiving over 6000 responses! This along with all the amazing feedback on our Steam forums and Discord has helped us start planning out the next few months.

Our next major update will focus on a full room customization update! Some of the improvements it will include are;

• New furniture options for the desk, chair, bed and beanbag. Not just color swaps, but new furniture styles.
  
• New Wallpaper and Flooring options.
  
• Customization will be added for the walls near the bed and fireplace.
  
• Customization will be added for the color of the wood beams and the style of the hanging lights.
  
• New activities.
  
• And more! We don't want to over promise, so we'll reveal more as we get closer to release.
  

As well we will keep adding quality of life improvements.
No specific release date for this update, but we are aiming for the end of July or Early August.

We've also heard your feedback around productivity tool improvements, this is something we are working on, but will take more time before we can share info.
We want to assure folks that all improvements to quality of life and productivity tools will always be FREE. While we've seen some concern about potentially charging for essential features, this will never be the case. Any paid DLC we eventually release will be cosmetic only, and we will continue to offer free content alongside it.

Introducing Rotational Playlists: Spring is here, and with it comes a new limited-time playlist! This energetic and refreshing mix is perfect for kicking off your Spring cleaning or simply enjoying the season. Rotational playlists will change periodically.

Bunny Ears: Add a touch of cuteness to your avatar with new bunny ears

Tank Tops: Keep cool and stylish with new tank tops available in the wardrobe.

Bubble Tea: Customize your desk with a cup of refreshing bubble tea!

Half-walls customization: You can now adjust the wallpaper of the half-wall accents

[h2]Quality of Life Improvements[/h2]

We are always looking for ways to enhance your experience in Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. This update includes several quality of life improvements:

Daily Spirit Credits: Players can now earn Spirit Credits at a regular pace. Daily tasks will now grant 100 Spirit Credits per completion, in addition to exp. Plus, there's now a visual indication the moment a daily mission is completed, so you never miss a beat!

Habit and Journal Drag and Drop: Easily rearrange the order of your Habits and Journal entries with a new drag and drop feature.

Rebindable Hotkeys: You can now rebind the hotkey for the UI visibility and a hotkey to quickly mute all soundscapes and music

Improved Memory Usage: Various improvements under the hood should improve loading times when launching the game.

[h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]

• Fixed an issue where using a game controller when the game is unfocused would keep capturing inputs, and potentially open menus in-game
  
• Fixed an issue in the Journal tool where the journaling prompts were not translated properly
  
• Found a work-around for an issue where users typing with an IME keyboard (such as for Japanese, Chinese, and Korean) had issues typing more than a few lines of text inside a Journal entry. See forum post for more details on a work-around here. We'll still be looking into this issue as we know this work-around is not the best, but we hope it can help some people temporarily for now.
