Producer’s Letter: 2023 Year End Upcoming Contents
Dear Milletians,
How has your summer been treating you? It’s been scorching hot in LA, but we’ve been keeping cool and staying hydrated (with our stackable water bottles)! How about your adventure in the Snowy Summer in Erinn? Glenn Bearna’s chill certainly stirred a bit of commotion in Tir Chonaill, so we hope your foray into Sliab Mis has been a manageable one. The team and I had a ton of fun working on the Glenn Bearna update this year. We were glad to see the intrigue and anticipation from you all with the update microsite and the July 13th release!
As you can tell, this year’s Summer Master Plan was also intended to coincide with this chilly summer update. We heard your desire for the event to return and it was tough for us to keep quiet until the event post went out. We are hoping to improve that experience and we’re brainstorming on ways to bring you more teasers and previews, even in small ways. My favorite part about working on Mabinogi is the rare opportunity to see all the sneak-peaks and the behind-the-scenes content being worked on by our talented team members and developers. Since we are constantly working on upcoming and future projects, it can be exciting to think of how you’ll react to it once it has been released. Recently, we’ve received many positive praises and feedback from you all, especially after the Fantasy Party and Mabinogi Eternity announcement. We can’t thank you enough for sharing your thoughts with us, and it has been incredibly heartwarming to know that our work is bringing joy for many people.
Do you think the weather will be nicer in Connous? I heard Arciellia is planning a beach party…

We love to check what all of our Milletians are up to, and what you are all enjoying. Many of you post and talk about events and activities in our community spaces, and it is always fun to see the range of interests that are discussed in there daily. It’s such a fun outlook because we all reside in Erinn and experience it differently, but at the end of the day, we’re all loving the same game. It is a pleasure to be a part of a community much larger and more vibrant than we think. Recently, we have had several community-run events in-game and offline with fun mini-games and rewards! Shout out to all of the event coordinators who make these community faires come to life! If you are interested in joining in on these events, or running your own, you can find all the details in our #community-events Discord channel. There are many more spaces where you can strengthen the bond of being a Milletian, and you may meet new friends where you didn’t think you could.
You know what else excites us every month - new content releases! The team has been working on several updates, scaling from minor and major updates. I wanted to bring attention to this because we’ve heard your feedback and know that there are many updates you are hoping to see come to Mabinogi. While we can’t share all of the specifics just yet, there are many topics currently in discussion.
We hope to continue bringing changes and improvements to our service to enhance your gameplay and experience. On that note, what else can we expect to come in 2023!? Let me share some of the contents we are preparing for you, and while not mentioned below, there will of course be other events and items to enjoy as well.
In Q3...
- Auction House overall improvements and changes have landed in Erinn! Many functional and visual changes have been prepared to improve areas where Milletians may have had a negative experience. Menu changes such as favoriting, displaying bank balance, addition of visual indicators for enchanted items, and more have been included to make it easier and quicker to search for items. You can now purchase individual items from a stacked bundle, and re-list or retrieve multiple items all at once! We know how much you wanted these features, and it was great to see how happy you were when the patch notes were released.
- While we encountered a few (now resolved!) slight hiccups after the patch, we are incredibly thankful for your quick reports and understanding of our investigations and downtime required to fix those issues.
- Additional quality of life improvements include increased item bundles and stack count for more items, improved inventory management (trash bin, fishing tackle box), and other minor bug fixes to come.
- More content changes? We can expect to see a renewal to the ol’ medieval sport: Jousting! Let’s give Lileas a visit, hmm? With new Jousting-exclusive skills and new rewards, Jousting will become more thrilling!
- Milletians looking to improve their academy scores will also be in luck, as changes to the Dan Advancement Tests will be introduced, removing many elements that depend on luck and adjustments to the difficulty level of certain tests will be made.
- Another highly requested and incredibly anticipated change is the power of love between Elves and Giants…in Marriage! I can’t wait to see everyone’s intertwined love come true. ❤
- We have an exciting new story event to share during the Halloween season.
- As we shared during the Fantasy Party stream and recap, new improvements to the early game experience will be coming soon with several changes: the Part-time job renewal, spirit weapon tutorial (Eiry’s return!), a content growth guide, and many generation quests will be simplified.
- What we may all be the most hyped for is new Arcana talents! Also shared during the Fantasy Party, these extraordinarily cool talents “Alchemic Stinger"* (Battle Alchemy + Archery) and "Dark Mage"* (Chain Slash + Magic) will be available in Erinn soon!
- Names subject to change.
