Renovation Season 3 - Patch Notes - May 26th, 2022

The following Events, Sales, and Promotions are running: Renovation Season 3
  • Several new changes and improvements have been made to the Dual Gun, Ninja, and Puppetry Talents! For full details, check out the Renovation Season 3 dedicated webpost.
Gold Renewal Update
  • Improvements to the Gold system have been made! For full details, check out the Gold Renewal Update dedicated webpost.
    • Gold no longer occupies your inventory space and is instead stored as a currency amount, similar to Ducats.
    • The maximum Gold limit that your character can hold is 1 million Gold. However, there are different ways to increase the maximum Gold limit.
      • One way is by using Gold Boxes and Special Gold Boxes as these items have been turned into a consumable object.
    • You can still withdraw Gold from your inventory.
    • Gold Pouch items have been removed the game.
    • Gold Purse items are now Item Bags.
The following changes have been made to the game:
  • The Mana Shield Enhancement Set Effect of the Elemental Harmony Gloves (M) and the Elemental Harmony Gloves (F) has been changed:
    • Before: Increases Magic Defense by 10 and Magic Protection by 8 when you use Mana Shield.
    • After: Increases Mana Shield's damage reduction per 1 MP by 0.30.
  • The Medium-sized Bag (5x5) can be purchased from the General Shop for 3,980 Gold.
  • "Defense Penetration" has been changed to "Armor Pierce" in the skill description for Axe Mastery, Crossbow Mastery, and Dual Wield Mastery skills.
The following bug fixes have been made to the game:
  • On May 19th, the character deletion issue and the log off issue were fixed.
  • The "Macaroon" recipe and food item name has been changed to "Macaron".
  • Enchanted Thread has been renamed back to Enchanted Thread after being accidently renamed Magical Golden Thread
  • The following Sewing Patterns have been fixed:
    • Sewing Pattern - Robe of Nature's Beauty
    • Sewing Pattern - Robe of Nature
    • Sewing Pattern - Gloves of Nature
    • Sewing Pattern - Shoes of Nature
The following are known bugs:
  • There is an issue where you cannot Friend Summon using Fynn Pets. It will show the error, "Unavailable because the owner has opened a Personal Shop".
  • Some players' hotkeys and pet menu settings reset after logging out.
  • During the Kraken Rex boss fight, Kraken Rex will use an attack that will cause players to lose protection, semi-permanently, until they change channels or relog.
  • There is a typo in the Finishing Materials list when crafting the Dustin Silver Knight Greaves.
  • There is a known issue where some players are unable to obtain the G1 quest "Find Goro's Ring".
  • There is an issue where certain G3 cutscenes will not play, but still charge gold.
  • There is an issue where Homestead item information is overlapping.
  • There is an issue where the Today Visitor Count does not reset to 0. When a visiting character visits the Homestead, the Today and Total Count accumulates normally.
  • The available upgrades in the Item Upgrade may overlap in the UI if the window is increased.
  • Homestead Anvils and Furnaces have settings to allow visitors to use them, but do not actually restrict the use of the items.
  • There is a slight graphical error where part of the hose is missing when a William or Butler Partner uses the Water Hose gesture.
  • Some Partner gestures that have them holding a weapon will appear as though the weapon is disconnected and floating.
  • There are Partner gestures that do not activate when a Partner has something equipped in their left hand.
  • There is an issue after using the Thunder skill, the character can't charge Thunder again until after the Thunder bolt hits/damages enemies.
  • If you try to change your style to an appearance already saved in a Beauty Slot, it will say it failed.
  • There is a minor visual issue with the Beauty Slot text if you scroll up and down after expanding the Beauty Slot.
  • The outline color when clicking on an empty Beauty Slot is incorrect.
  • There is text cut-off in the Buy Item UI when buying the Royal Society Appreciation Box from Melwyn.
  • The inventory image for the Mace of Mercy is incorrect.
  • Feeding a Pet Instructor Stick to a Level 100 Spirit weapon will cause the character to freeze.
  • If you had a unicode heart on your wedding ring, the heart appears as a question mark.
  • The Shaggy Perm hairstyle can be saved in a Beauty Slot.
  • Cobweb Mummy enemies do not appear in the Alby Advanced Dungeon.
  • Guilds are not appearing in the Guild List.
  • When you first open the Master Plan Inventory, it will incorrectly show as locked. Closing and reopening the inventory will fix the issue.
  • There is a minor graphical issue with the Special Shining Stage Concert Costume (M) when the character equipped with the outfit is running.
  • Scathach's hands do not match her skin color.
  • The Tail Chasers mini-game in Festia is currently inaccessible.
  • A character's neck will become detached from their body when wearing the Mysterious Thief outfit.
  • Guild stones can be placed very close to each other.
  • Several menus and buttons in the Production Crafting Diary have text that is cut-off or is overlapping.
  • The Journal Achievement for completing 1000 crafts incorrectly states "100" crafts.>
  • A few Weaving crafting recipes are incorrectly labeled:
    • Common Fabric: Make Fabric (Normal) -> Make Fabric (Common)
    • Silk -> Cheap Silk
    • Common Silk: Make Silk (Normal) -> Make Silk (Common)
    • The material for crafting Ice Silk is incorrect; Cold Thread -> Frost Thread
  • The issue regarding Sewing Patterns and Blacksmith Manuals not having any data is still being investigated.
  • Special Small Draconian Wings (3 types) and Coupon can be found in the Auction House, but these items won't be available when the other wings are released.
    • They will be released under a different name, the Special Forgotten Draconian Wings (3 types).
    • The Special Small Draconian Wings have a Dressing Room entry, while Special Forgotten Draconian Wings do not have a Dressing Room entry.

Renovation Season 3: Dual Guns, Ninja, and Puppetry Talent Changes

[h2]Gunslinger
[/h2]
System Changes
  • The stat calculation for determining damage while using Dual Guns has been changed.
    • Before:
      • For every 6 Strength and 6 Intelligence, Minimum Damage is increased by 1.
      • For every 5 Strength and 6 Intelligence, Maximum Damage is increased by 1.
    • After:
      • For every 5 Strength and 5 Intelligence, Minimum Damage is increased by 1.
      • For every 4 Strength and 4 Intelligence, Maximum Damage is increased by 1.
  • The stun duration has been increased based on the weapon's Attack Speed and hit count.
    • The stun time is adjusted to 1 second or more, varying according to Attack Speed and number of hits.
    • Weapons with fewer hits compared to their Attack Speed have a longer stun time.
  • The description of certain Spirit Enhancement attributes have been changed:
    • Awakening Attack Enhancement
      • Example: At Skill Level 1 - Spirit Dual Gun Awakening Damage +150% has been changed to Spirit Dual Gun Awakening Damage Multiplier +150%
    • Awakening Range Enhancement
      • Example: At Skill Level 1 - Spirit Dual Gun Awakening Attack Range +50cm has been changed to Spirit Dual Gun Awakening Attack Area Radius +50cm
Skill Changes
  • For each updated skill, the skill info and description has been updated to reflect changes.
Flash Launcher

  • Flash Launcher has been changed to a skill with ranged attack properties so you can attack from a distance.
  • The skill casting time has been greatly reduced.
  • The damage for each Rank has been increased.
    • Example: Based on Dan Rank 3 of the skill:
      • Before: 950% Damage
      • After: 1300% Damage
Bullet Storm

  • The attack method of Bullet Storm has been changed so that it fires a set number of bullets at enemies within a certain range.
    • The more enemies there are within the skill casting range, the more powerful the attack. If there is only one enemy, all bullets are concentrated in one place.
  • When the Technique Seal: Pragarah is activated, the Magic Defense and Protection of the target are reduced according to the number of Bullet Storm hits.
  • The Mana Bullet consumption amount is fixed by Rank.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 24 Mana Bullets
  • The maximum number of targets per Rank has been changed:
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 9 maximum targets
  • The skill's attack range has been expanded.
  • Skill casting time has been reduced.
  • The knockback distance of the target has been reduced.
  • A basic damage multiplier per bullet has been added to each skill Rank.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 50% per bullet
  • The damage multiplier per additional target has been adjusted from 2 or more targets.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill:
      • Before: 120% damage
      • After: 60% damage
  • The final damage multiplier is now determined by adding up the base damage multiplier and the damage multiplier that increases per target.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill:
      • For 3 targets: 50% + (60%
      • 2) = 170% Damage
  • The maximum damage limit has been adjusted per bullet and is applied at a fixed amount.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 400% Damage
Grapple Shot

  • Grapple Shot has been changed so you can now use the skill by directly clicking on the ground where you want to move.
  • When you arrive at the targeted location, damage is inflicted to enemies near the targeted location within a certain radius.
  • The skill has been modified so that you no longer get hit for a short time while moving, similar to Chain Slash's Anchor Rush skill.
  • The skill cooldown has been reduced for skill Ranks Novice to Rank 2. Rank 1 remains unchanged at 10 seconds.
    • Example: Based on Rank Novice of the skill:
      • Before: 16 seconds
      • After: 13 seconds
  • The damage for each Rank has been increased.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill:
      • Before: 200% damage
      • After: 400% damage
Bullet Slide

  • Bullet Slide has been changed so that regardless of the number of attacks, the target's defense and protection are only applied once.
  • The skill's casting range has been increased to a range similar to that of a normal attack.
  • Skill casting time has been greatly reduced.
  • The knockback distance of the target has been reduced.
  • The damage for each Rank has been increased.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill:
      • Before: 250% Damage
      • After: 1200% Damage
  • Skill motion can no longer canceled with the ESC key.
Shooting Rush

  • Shooting Rush has been changed so that regardless of the number of attacks, the target's defense and protection are only applied once.
  • The skill will be cast in the direction of the location selected by the cursor, regardless of the direction the character is facing when attacking.
  • The enemy will be knocked back according to the direction of the skill attack.
  • Skill casting time has been slightly reduced.
  • The knockback distance of the target has been reduced.
  • The damage for each Rank has been increased.
    • Example: Based on Dan Rank 3 of the skill:
      • Before: 520% Damage
      • After: 600% Damage
Reload
  • Reload has been changed so that the skill is not canceled even if you are attacked by an enemy while casting the skill.
  • The skill is only canceled if you are knocked down or die while reloading.
Way of the Gun
  • Bonus Damage has been added to all Ranks of Way of the Gun.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 15% Damage
  • Bonus Damage will also be provided to other Gunslinger skills while Way of the Gun is activated.

System Changes
  • The damage calculation method for Ninja skills have been changed. The way of applying the target's defense and protection values has been changed to match that of other talent skills. The damage multiplier of the skill is applied first before the enemy's defense and protection reduces the damage.
  • The stun duration has been increased based on the weapon's Attack Speed and hit count.
    • The stun time has been adjusted to 1 second or more, varying according to Attack Speed and number of hits.
    • Weapons with fewer hits compared to their Attack Speed have a longer stun time.
  • Evasion based on an enemy's Luck stats will no longer occur.
  • The description of certain Spirit Enhancement attributes have been changed:
    • Awakening Attack Enhancement
      • Example: At Skill Level 1 - Spirit Shuriken Awakening Damage +150% has been changed to Spirit Shuriken Awakening Damage Multiplier +150%
    • Awakening Range Enhancement
      • Example: At Skill Level 1 - Spirit Shuriken Awakening Attack Range +50cm has been changed to Spirit Shuriken Awakening Attack Range Radius +50cm
Skill Changes
  • For each updated skill, the skill info and description has been updated to reflect changes.
Explosive Kunai

  • Skill activation time has been slightly reduced.
  • The method of triggering the skill's explosive attack has been changed.
    • When an enemy steps on the explosive kunai, all kunai explode at the same time.
    • All enemies in a 3m area around each kunai that explodes will take damage.
  • Depending on the location, one enemy may receive damage multiple times.
  • Enemies caught in the explosion are stunned for 3 seconds, and at the same time, the target's movement speed is decreased for 6 seconds.
  • The damage for each Rank is increased.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill:
      • Before: 200% Damage
      • After: 300% Damage
Shuriken Charge

  • Shuriken Charge has been changed so that you no longer have to charge the skill. Instead, the attack hits at full damage when the skill is used on an enemy.
  • The previous animation that played when charging the skill is now played while you have the skill activated.
  • You can now move your character while the skill is activated.
  • You can also cancel the skill using the ESC key or by clicking on the skill balloon.
  • Splash damage now always occurs when the skill is used on an enemy within 2m, and the same damage multiplier as the selected target is applied.
  • The damage for the skill has been changed to be a fixed amount at each skill rank instead of requiring it to be fully charged for the full skill damage.
    • Example: Based on Dan Rank 3 of the skill - 690% Damage
  • The "Successfully use a fully charged attack" training requirement for Rank A and higher skill ranks, has been changed to "Defeat an enemy with Shuriken Charge".
Shadow Bind

  • Shadow Bind has been changed so that binding an enemy persists while you are using the skill, keeping your character in place as you bind.
  • A max binding duration has been added.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 20 seconds
  • The continuous binding can be stopped by canceling the use of the skill. It will also be stopped if you are stunned or knocked back due to an enemy's attack.
  • Even if the skill use is completed or canceled, an additional binding time is applied to the target.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 5.5 seconds
Shadow Cloak
  • A bonus damage effect has been added for Ninja skills used while Shadow Cloak is active.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill - 10% Bonus Damage
  • The skill duration has been increased to 10 seconds.
  • The damage of the skill's Tornado attack has been increased.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill:
      • Before: 120% Damage
      • After: 300% Damage
Smokescreen
  • Smokescreen has been changed so that it now reduces the target's Magic Defense and Magic Protection. The reduction is the same as the Defense/Protection reduction.
  • The smoke effect of the skill will now disappear naturally.
Kunai Storm
  • Damage for Kunai Storm has not been changed, however the skill description for each Rank has been changed to the damage amount rather than the damage multiplier.
    • Example: Based on Dan Rank 3 of the skill:
      • Before:  +460% Damage
      • After: 560% Damage
Sakura Abyss
  • Sakura Abyss has not been changed, however the skill description for each Rank has been updated to include more information.

 System Changes
  • The damage calculation method for Puppetry skills has been changed. The way of applying the target's defense and protection values has been changed to match that of other talent skills. The damage multiplier of the skill is applied first before the enemy's defense and protection reduces the damage. 
  • The description of certain Spirit Enhancement attributes have been changed:
    • Awakening Attack Enhancement
      • Example: At Skill Level 1 - Spirit Control Bar Awakening Damage +150% has been changed to Spirit Control Bar Awakening Damage Multiplier +150%
    • Awakening Range Enhancement
      • Example: At Skill Level 1 - Spirit Control Bar Awakening Attack Range +50cm has been change to Spirit Control Bar Awakening Attack Area Radius +50cm
  • The formula that applies the increased Marionette Damage from the Spirit Enhancement Attack effect "Spirit Training" has been changed. Damage is now increased when using a Spirit.
  • The "Marionette Critical Damage" set effect has been changed.
    • Before: Increases Marionette's Critical Damage by 40%
    • After: Increases the Marionette's Critical Damage multiplier by 80% when a Critical hit occurs.
Skill Changes
  • For each updated skill, the skill info and description has been updated to reflect the changes.
  • The following skills have not been changed, however the Skill Info has been slightly updated:
    • Act 1: Inciting Incident
    • Act 4: Rising Action
    • Act 6: Crisis
    • Act 7: Climactic Crash
    • Wire Pull
    • Puppet's Snare
Control Marionette
  • The Marionette will now gain 70% of the Puppeteer's Armor Pierce and Piercing Level.
Act 2: Threshold Cutter
  • The Combo Card damage bonus has been changed. It will now be applied to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd consecutive hits while using the skill.
  • Additional information has been added to the skill info and description.
Act 9: Invigorating Encore
  • While using Act 9: Invigorating Encore, the Marionette's Defense, Magic Defense, Protection, and Magic Protection is increased. Bonus damage is also applied when the Marionette attacks.
    • Example: Based on Rank 1 of the skill
      • Marionette Attack Bonus Damage +10%
      • Defense, Magic Defense Increase: +580
      • Protection, Magic Protection Increase +80
  • The skill effect is maintained, even if the Marionette dies and is resurrected or if the summon is canceled and re-summoned. The skill effect will continue to be applied to the Marionette for the remaining effect duration.
  • The skill's activation time has been reduced.


[h2]Additional Content Changes[/h2]
  •  Some content and NPC dialogue of the following tutorial missions have been changed to match the talent changes:

    • Intro Gun Training: Movement Skills
    • Intro Gun Training: Ranged Attack Skills

  • The following NPC's Gunslinger and Ninja talent skill Ranks will be lowered and their AI has been changed:
    • Enemy NPCs
      • Cessair's Heart in the following missions:
        • Heart Awakening Mission
        • Fading Pulse Mission
        • Into Battle Mission
        • Cave of Trials Mission
      • Llywelyn in the following mission:
        • Fading Pulse Mission
      • Llywelyn's Thoughts in the following mission:
        • Alban Knights Training Grounds Mission
      • Succubus Fiend in the following mission:
        • Rabbie Phantasm Dungeon
        • Rabbie Phantasm Mirror World Dungeon
      • Disciple, Dark Disciple, and Melci Diafol in the following dungeon:
        • Crom Bás Dungeon
    • Ally NPCs
      • Treasure Hunter
      • Llywelyn
  • The attribute option text has been changed slightly for certain content to reflect the talent changes.
    • Only the name of the option has been changed. The content, appearance, and probability are unchanged.
    • This affects certain descriptions for Reforging and Echostone attributes, Glyphwrighting stats, Erg stats, and the Skill Master titles related to Gunslinger, Ninja, and Puppetry.

Gold Renewal Update

[h2]Gold Update[/h2]
Improvements to the Gold currency system have been made!
  • Gold no longer occupies inventory space. It is now stored in your main inventory as a currency amount, similar to Ducats.
  • All Gold stored in your inventory in the form of Gold, Gold Pouches, and Gold Boxes has been changed to the value amount of Gold you have.
    • Immediately after the update, your Gold amount may exceed the maximum Gold storage limit. You will be unable to obtain Gold until you store the amount you have in the Bank or in a Pet's inventory.
  • The maximum Gold limit that each character, Pet, or Partner character can store is 1,000,000 Gold (1 Million).
  • A character's maximum Gold limit can be increased by an additional 1 Million Gold when the character achieves cumulative level 10,000. 
    • This is not applicable to Pets/Partners.
    • Characters who have already reached cumulative level 10,000 or higher will have their maximum Gold limit increased the first time they log in after the update.
  • The maximum Gold limit can be increased further up to 100,000,000 Gold (100 Million).
    • Gold Box items have been changed to a consumption item that increased the maximum Gold limit for the character that consumes it.
    • When using Lorna or Pan's Gold Box, the limit is increased by 50,000 Gold.
    • When using Lorna, Pan, or Blaanid's Special Gold Box, the limit is increased by 100,000 Gold.
    • Important Notes
      • Pet and Partner gold limit cannot be increased.
      • The Gold Box Upgrade Coupon items function as usual to upgrade a Gold Box to the Special version.
  • If you obtain Gold that exceeds your character's carrying capacity, the excess amount will fall to the floor.
  • If the total amount of Gold you are holding reaches the maximum limit, you can no longer pick up Gold.
  • When selling items at an NPC shop, you cannot sell any items if the sale price exceeds your maximum Gold limit.
  • Gold can be exchanged through the Give and Claim buttons in a Pet's or Partner's inventory.
    • Give can be used to store Gold in a Pet/Partner's inventory, up to 1,000,000 Gold (1 Million).
      • You can also pick up Gold and transfer them directly.
    • Claim can be used to withdraw and receive the Gold amount to your character's inventory.
  • Gold now stacks to 50,000 when picked up from the character's inventory or when obtained from certain content.
    • Example: Gold dropped from a Dungeon End Chest will now be dropped as a Gold stack instead of a Big Gold Pouch.
  • Gold can be divided and picked up from a character's inventory by clicking on the Gold button in the main inventory.
    • 50,000 Gold is the maximum amount that can be picked up.
    • You can drop Gold on the ground or give them to NPCs this way.
    • If you put the Gold back into your inventory, it will return your Gold value.
  • When Trading (including Trading during Pet battles), the Gold button can be clicked to select the amount of Gold you wish to trade.
    • A maximum of 1,000,000 Gold (1 Million) can be traded at once through this method.
    • Checks can be traded as normal and the total value of Gold being traded will be shown as the cumulative amount of Gold and Checks added to the trade.
    • If the trade recipient does not have enough room in their inventory to receive the Gold amount, Gold cannot be added to the trade window.
    • Note: Gold cannot be picked up from the main inventory window while trading.
  • If you attempt to withdraw Gold from the Bank and you have already reached the maximum Gold limit in your inventory, the Gold value will be shown as 0.
    • You are still able to issue a Check however.
  • The "Gold" tag has been removed as a selection from the list of bag tags for Item Bag organization.
  • The acquisition method for obtaining Gold from certain content has been changed to distribute Gold to your Gold value automatically.
    • Example: Raids, Alban Knights Training Grounds, Sidhe Finnachaid, certain quests, etc.
  • Gold Pouches have been removed from the game.
    • The Gold Pouch and Big Gold Pouch items have been removed and you will no longer be able to obtain these items through NPC shops, quest rewards, Dungeon/Shadow Mission reward boxes, and monster drops.
    • As previously announced, this removal includes Gold Pouch items that have not been retrieved from the Auction House.
    • After the update, any Gold stored in Gold Pouches that you own will be added to the Gold value for the character, Pet, or Partner who had the item.
      • The Gold value equal to the sales price value of the Gold Pouch (i.e. when sold to an NPC) will be added to your Gold amount automatically.
        • The sales price of a Gold Pouch is 880 Gold, and the sales price of the Big Gold Pouch is 4,900 Gold.
  • The way that the Small Gold Purse, Medium Gold Purse, and Large Gold Purse items function have been changed.
    • Before: Storage bag for Gold Pouches and Gold Boxes.
    • After: Storage bag for items.
  • The name of Gold Purses have been changed to Item Bag.
  • The quest objective, NPC dialogue, and TIP have been changed for Blaanid's Brave Boost quest, "How to be a Prepared Milletian 1".
    • The quest objective that requires you to obtain an item from the General Shop has been changed from a Big Gold Pouch to a Medium Sized Bag (5x5).
    • Blaanid's voice will not be available for this memoir.
