THE INK INSIDE: S+ UPDATE INCLUDES:
[p][/p][h2]NEW S+ Mode[/h2][p]When creating a new save file, players will have the option for it to "Start S+" [/p][p]This makes it so this save is in "S+" mode where ANY hit will take down the player instantly. (You can still "help your teammate up" after they take a single hit though). So keeping BOTH players up and alive throughout combat becomes an INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT challenge the further into the game you go. [/p][p]SURVIVING COMBAT in S+ will TEST your knowledge of ALL the skills you learn in the game. As you'll need to use each Ability / JOB / Special TOGETHER with GOOD GEAR in order to complete this mode. [/p][p](It is NEARLY impossible to complete this mode unless you know how to receive buffs from your gear...so we added a NEW GUIDE on Steam for how to do just that! :D).[/p][p]If you DO finish S+, there's a contest in our Discord server to win IRL loot!!![/p][p](Completing S+ also unlocks the FINAL hint for the ARG outside the game!)[/p][p][/p][h2]NEW & IMPROVED JOBS[/h2][p][/p][p]JOBS have been tweaked and updated for better performance when used with other abilities. This includes a few that have been reworked entirely such as the KNIGHT JOB which now lets players DEFLECT BLOCKED PROJECTILES with their SHIELD! (This JOB is worth finding in the Sugar Swamp!)[/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, JOBS have been improved so they work together better in some fun new ways. For example, COMBINING the STRIDER JOB (do a 360 degree attack with your sword after teleporting) with the FENCER JOB (launch enemies on hit with your sword) can now let players do the following sword attack where a player can teleport to an enemy, interrupt their attack, deflect their projectiles, and launch them into the air for a follow-up:[/p][p][/p][p]Experiment to find the BEST combinations in S+ mode![/p][p][/p][h2]NEW LOOT & DROPS[/h2][p]NEW LOOT has been added to the first TWO areas of the game. This includes NEW distribution locations for EXISTING items as well. A HONEY HAM (Green Teleporting Agility Item) can now be obtained in the first area of the game including from the UPGRADE MACHINE in Fuzzville. This should allow for the PERKS of some RARE JOBS to be obtainable MUCH EARLIER than before![/p][p][/p][h2]UPDATED VO[/h2][p]The VO for MANY of the smaller characters has been updated to be of BETTER QUALITY. This was done by cleaning up the original voice work through another audio pass of effects and noise reduction, with MORE improvements planned for the future! [/p][p]For now, the VO for VAMPIRE PRINCESS, WEREWOLF PRINCESS, FUZZ KID, FUZZBALLS 1 & 2, and WESTERN FUZZ have all been updated to be MUCH CLEANER than before![/p][p][/p][h2]GUIDES[/h2][p]MANY Guides have been created and added to STEAM! Including one on ACCESSIBLITY features, and another on ACCESSING the SWITCHES in the SUGAR SWAMP. More guides will be added soon that cover Specials, Cores, and enemy weaknesses. The NEW guide covering how to use TECH and AGILITY items is very helpful to know for S+ mode![/p][p][/p][h2]BUG FIXES[/h2][p] [/p]
  • [p]ADDED NEW ICONS to ALL SAVE files. (A PINK S appears near normal save files, a BLUE S for S+ saves, with a STAR appearing under the S for each save that reaches 100%!)[/p]
  • [p]Controller detection issue when plugging in too early on Title screen.[/p]
  • [p]SCALED UP ALL visuals on the QUEST LOG (it's 30% Bigger!).[/p]
  • [p]SCALED UP TEXT in some areas like player stats to make them more visible.[/p]
  • [p]QoL fixes for navigating menus (added new button shortcuts).[/p]
  • [p]Swapped the location of the "MAP" and "ARTIFACTS" within a players inventory (making it easier to navigate to the MAP).[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the MAP loading just off center for some controllers (this can still happen occasionally, just move the joystick a bit to find the right teleporting location for now).[/p]
  • [p]Enemy health not depleting in certain conditions has been fixed.[/p]
  • [p]Enemy health has been rescaled in most areas for a better combat experience.[/p]
  • [p]Certain items in the shop "like the Sniper Core" have been changed to have the correct purchase price.[/p]
  • [p]Certain conversations have been fixed so the correct character is talking.[/p]
  • [p]Some issues with finishers have been fixed (HOWEVER, you can still lose control of a player if you try to melee after completing a finisher in some circumstances) [/p]
