Psycog 101: Psycores

Hello Psycogs! We are back for yet another Psycog 101!

Victor is here as well, and oh boy is he...

Today's subject are Psycores, a staple and unmissable view in the Arena!

Ahem... yes? Yes I did, Victor, but thank you for the reminder.

You know what? We'll indulge you this time Victor and start with Zoo first!

As for all genes, there are 2 Psycores available at the moment. And we'll be introducing each of them.

ZOO A // Code Name: ARK REX

"This is how I fell in love with Zoo! It is the home of the beautiful Beast."

Yes, this very popular Starter has seen a lot of use in the recent Ranked Season. If you are looking to build an agressive and very zoo-like in spirit deck, the Ark Rex might be the best option for you.

ZOO B // Code Name: ARK GATOR

We go from a hairy Psycore to a scaly one with the Gator Psycore! This one introduces a different starter.

"Evolution is the key word with this Psycore, its starter is tough and helps your whole board, including itself, evolve fast!"

Evolution and random agression are the basis of the Zoo Psycores, we should now take a look at the sky with Space Psycores!

SPACE A // Code Name: SESTRA VEGA

Sestras are specialists of what lies beyond our world's atmosphere and are also very talented at dealing with buildings!

"And this Psycore offers just that, a tremendously punishing little alien that will become a huge threat if buildings are present on your opponent's side!"

The next Psycore is made especially to catter to Psycogs who are fond of Squads.

SPACE B // Code Name: SESTRA ANTARES

"I'm going to be honest, I always liked Squad mutants."

But aren't they usually lacking in the fur department for you to like them?

"Have you seen Sgt Pandamonium?"

Oh right. Well, the Sestra Antares Psycore is perfect for those who want to develop a strategy around Squads. Its starter does not have a lot of stats but enjoy the keyword that allows it to get various buffs!

I think it's time to take a look at other weapon specialists: Blades.

BLADES A // Code Name: TRIOMPHE BASTION

The Bastion is a classic for all strategy fans.

"You got to admit that the Warrior is carrying one hell of an axe. And the Tactic keyword to go with it, of course."

This is the Psycore to use if your deck strategy revolves around the Tactic keyword as the starter will help trigger effects linked to it.

BLADES B // Code Name: TRIOMPHE CITADEL

"Now, if you're looking for a best seller in the Psycog Community..."

You got to take a look at the Triomphe Citadel indeed. Its Starter, Barbarian, is a fearsome opponent when geared with some of the sweet orbs that are a specialty of the Triomphe Corporation.

NECRO A // Code Name: CAPACOFLESH

Well, the Necro Gene Capacoflesh Psycore is an explosive one.

"Oh lad, I see what you did there. Yes, Zombies made through this terrifying machine are a pain to deal with."

Because they explode.

"Ahem..."

Okay, I'm stopping with the boom-bastic jokes. This Psycore is a great base for those of you that want to start building a deck that functions well with Last Wish triggers. If you have a bone to pick though...

NECRO B // Code Name: CAPACOBONES

"Couldn't help it, could you?"

I know hahaha! You gotta crack your skull from time to time. Anyways, the Capacobones will function best with, well... Bones. So if you need a Starter that help to fill this discard of yours, it's the way to take!

TECH A // Code Name: I.E.M B0T

01101000 01100101 01110010 01100101 00100000 01100001 01110010 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01110100 01100101 01100011 01101000

"Are you alright?"

Always, always! Have you seen the Bots produced by this Psycore in the Arena, Victor?

"They are so efficient. Great stats, a shame about their unstability though."

It's not a shame but a purposeful choice to balance this great creation from I.E.M. Psycogs that look for fast agression and a way to trigger Autorepair effects will find themselves delighted with this Psycore!

TECH B // Code Name: I.E.M BTY

"Now, if you want to play around with one of the tech gene specialty which is Parts this is the best one to choose and use. It will provide a starter that will be a source of regular Parts in your hand."

Thank you Victor, that was very detailed.

"I forget something?"

Nothing my friend, except for the fact that we are now going to talk about my favourite gene: Mystic!

MYSTIC A // Code Name: DEMONIC ALTAR

Everyone is a fan of the Demon and you got to strongly consider this Psycore if you want to build a Burn deck!

"The Starter of this deck will be a constant source of Burning, perfect to trigger effects tied to it."

And if you want to play around with the idea of summons or ability, then you have another option.

MYSTIC B // Code Name: SUMMONING ALTAR

This Psycore is very efficient if you want to play around with Activated abilities as well as Summons. Your Starter will be able to trigger effects with Activated Abilities while creating a nice little Summon that can be further boosted.

Exactly Victor! I think we actually went through all the psycores!

All 6 genes have 2 Psycores at the moment which offer a lot of possibility for your deck building. And nothing tells us that future Pyscores might not be developed by the corporations!

See you soon Psycogs!
