Balance Patch - V 0.6.14

Hello everyone and welcome to a new balance patch!
Objectives
This patch, which takes place several months after the previous one, has enabled us to study the evolution of the meta over a longer period, in order to allow it a longer phase of self-regulation. As a result, we were able to see a high degree of stability in the Blades Orbs archetype at the top, with a few minor excesses on the Zoo side. We also saw a slump in the Space and Mystics decks.

Forged Orb

 • The addition of Forged Orbs in previous drops allowed one Orbs archetype to work very, if not too effectively, particularly play for a One-Turn Kill. However, this was not the intended purpose of these orbs. So we decided to limit their power by removing their ATK bonus.

Before: The equipped mutant has +1 ATK and +1 HP.

After: The equipped mutant has +1 HP.

El Gringo

 • This pistolero is far too fast in both his attacks and his growth, allowing him to fire one shot after another and take very large quantities of EVO without risk. We've therefore decided to limit his growth rate and adjust his stats accordingly.

Evolve curve: 1/2/3/4 → 2/3/4/5

EVO: 1/2/3/4/6 → 1/3/4/6/9

ATK: 2/3/4/5/7 → 2/4/5/6/8

PV: 2/3/4/5/7 → 2/4/5/6/8

Skirmish Tower

 • The Orb Support Building has become too powerful with the emergence of Forged Orbs, as large numbers of them can be played via card effects. We're therefore adjusting the power of the Building to take account of this greater influx of Orbs.

First Strike Capacity:

Before: Passive - When you equip an Orb on a mutant, the Equipped mutant gets +2 ATK this turn.

After: Passive - When you equip an Orb on a Mutant, the Equipped Mutant gets +1 ATK this turn.

Mecharachnidian

 • The heroic spider is at it again. We've analysed how the card is used, and we've decided to limit its direct impact a little by reducing its base stats slightly to make it more vulnerable and less dangerous.

ATQ: 6 → 5

HP: 6 → 5

Behemoth

 • The gigantic alien had a power with an alternating progression between an increase in attack bonus and HP bonus, making some of its ranks more effective defensively and others offensively.

Heavy Security Ability:

Before: Architecture - For each Building on your field, this mutant has +1/1/2/2/3 ATQ and +0/1/1/2/3 HP.

After: Architecture - For each Building on your field, this mutant has +1/1/2/2/3 ATQ and +1/1/2/2/3 VP.

Gargantua

 • This member of the trio formed with Tengu and Thor was less powerful than his fellows, being more specialised against buildings. As its damage potential is too limited, we're increasing the overall damage of its ability.

Meteor Smash ability:

Damage: 1/2/3/4/5 → 2/3/4/5/7

Lichlock

 • This mutant's drawing power was slightly underestimated, given that the mutant takes time to incubate. We are therefore increasing its draw ability at all ranks.

Forbidden Knowledge ability:

Before: Testament - When this mutant is destroyed, draw 1/2/3/4/5 cards.

After: Testament - When this mutant is destroyed, draw 2/3/4/5/6 cards.
Functional modifications (Reworks)
📊

Reforge Keyword

Both Power Orb and Health Orb cards feature the Reforge mechanic, which allowed the player to draw a card when the equipped mutant was destroyed. However, this mechanic allowed you to cycle through your deck far too quickly in combination with the other cards dedicated to supporting Orbs. We've therefore decided to bring forward a change to the Reforge ability on these two cards, which will allow them to produce a Forged Orb instead of drawing.

This will ensure a degree of stability in the way the cards linked to Orbs work, by ensuring that the card obtained when the Reforge ability is triggered is necessarily an Orb, without giving these orbs an overpowered advantage over the others.

Reforge

Before: When the mutant to which this orb is equipped is destroyed, draw 1 card.

After: When the mutant to which this orb is equipped is destroyed, add a Forged Orb to your hand.
