📖 CAMPAIGN

• The Ascension update kicks off with the first corporation, Noah's Ark, adding three new battles and three new cards.

• A new "Noah's Ark Sponsorship Pack” is available until July 31st, 2024.
  
• A new “Sponsorship Mega Pack” containing all current and future Sponsorship packs is available until October 9th, 2024.
  

🎮 USER EXPERIENCE

• Optimization of various interfaces, including the login, deck creation and campaign screens, as well as the friends list.
  
• Improved rendering in certain resolutions.

Greetings Psycog!

In just 2 days, a new part of our Chapter 2: Ascension update will be released. The first one will be all about the Zoo Gene and it’s corporation: Noah’s Ark!

In this part, you’ll be able to challenge Gator who’s proficient with Zoo mutants and the leader of the corporation’s junior team.
She’s loud, she’s a bit crazy and she hates robots. Since a young age, Gator is all about protecting wildlife and she will not compromise! People may think she is too much but there might be sense found in her antics. So be careful around her, and please, don’t insult her pet.



Alongside 3 new challenges culminating in you facing off with Gator, you’ll be able to collect 3 new cards!

[h3]The first one will be Kangaboo[/h3]



Kangaboo is a Guardian with the “Ring the Bell” ability. This ability is the first Survival ability, triggering if the mutant survives a combat it was into. In this case, Kangaboo will gain +1 ATK and heals 1 HP!

[h3]The second card is Noah’s Ark Centrifuge. [/h3]



This building gives +2 HP to any Monogene Mutant that comes into play.

[h3]The third one is Mister T-ger![/h3]



This advanced mutant has an Aura that will give every Monogene Mutant the “Survivalist” ability. A

Survival ability that gives +1 EVO if your Mutant survives a combat it was into.


In addition to those cards, you’ll be able to get a new pack for those of you that enjoy customization! 2 new skins, a new cardback and of course 10 capsules for Zoo lovers!



Finally, this first release will let you know more about the universe of Mutants: Genesis and the story of our Protagonist.


We hope you will enjoy this and can’t wait to offer you the next parts of Ascension! As a reminder, all the PvE content will be free to access and play, all you need to do is to finish Chapter 1 with its Simulacrum fight ;)

We are super excited to share with you a great news! Our next major content update is right around the corner! Titled: Ascension, it will follow up on where we left off the story during Chapter 1 and introduce new elements of lore, new fights and obviously new cards!

But before going more in depth with its content, let’s check out our Game’s Director letter to the community:

Dear Psycogs,

On behalf of the entire Mutants: Genesis team, we would like to thank you for your unfailing support since the start of early access, your constant feedback and your constant encouragement.

Being able to talk to you and see how much you like the game, particularly on our community discord, is a very important source of motivation and encouragement for us. This first year of Early Access has been a rich one in many ways: the arrival of Time Rifts, the mobile version (iOS coming soon), the many ranked seasons in which you've fought hard, the Simulacrum (even the Extreme mode couldn't resist the most valiant among you), and above all, even if it's something less visible to you, the major work on stability and bug-fixing on the game, have made this a very beneficial year for the game, which has been able to consolidate its foundations.

Today, to celebrate the start of this second year of Early Access, the team is very proud to finally be releasing the sequel to our campaign, which you seem to be looking forward to just as much as we are: Chapter 2: Ascension.

After passing the Atika trials and being named captain of the Panakeia Junior Team, it's time for you and your two companions to get back into the thick of things. In this new arc, you'll be travelling to the 4 corners of the world to take on the biggest corporations and their champions. Each sub-section corresponds to a corporation represented by one of the game's 6 genes, and the confrontations will lead you to meet some colourful characters, learn about their personal histories, and battle them for the title of Xtrem Junior League of the Year. In this new arc, you'll learn more about the world of Mutants: Genesis, not to mention your rewards: new cards with every victory!

We hope you enjoy this story arc and that it lives up to your expectations.

As for the sequel, we've still got plenty of surprises in store for you. If you want to know which one I'm personally most looking forward to, I invite you to re-read our last article, in which you'll find a sneak preview of the next boss you might come across after this arc 2!

To conclude this letter, I'd also like to thank and welcome all the new Psycogs who join us every day. Mutants: Genesis is above all a community game that needs its players to thrive. So here we are guys, a new chapter opens up on the world of Mutants: Genesis!

Let’s now dive into how this content will be released and what you can expect!

A new part of Chapter 2 will be released every 2 weeks, introducing a corporation, its leader and of course new cards, rewards and packs to get new skins or cardback!
With 6 Genes, that’s more than 12 weeks of content coming up! Of course, a Chapter would not be complete without its boss. A special encounter that will offer a new challenge to existing and new players as well as as introducing a new Time Rift challenge!

As the new leader of the Panakeia team, you will have to travel around the world to be the very best. This will introduce you to new cards, corporation and gene specific strategies and of course, a cool fight with the leader of another team!

All new cards will be thematized around a Corporation specific gene, and so will be mono-gene! You’ll be able to collect 2 new mutants and a building or support card per Gene. So 18 new cards in total!

In addition to all of this, you will be able to purchase one of our Sponsorship Pack including:

• 2 Skins
  
• An exclusive card back
  
• 10 Gene specific capsules to get the new cards
  
•

As you can see, there is lot to unpack in the coming weeks, and we are very excited to tell you that the first part of this Chapter will be out on the 17th of July!

📖 CAMPAIGN/TUTORIEL

• In order to better welcome new players, various small changes have been made to our campaign:
  
• It will be necessary to defeat Victor with all genes before going on to face Zula.
  
• A button invites players to go to the capsules screen when they are offered as a reward.
  
• Information windows now explain the functions of the capsule and home screens.
  
• Context-sensitive help has been added for certain actions in matches starting from Zula's match.
  
• The button to access Time Rifts is visible by default (but blocked until the required conditions are met).
  
• After a defeat, it is now possible to restart a match more quickly.
  

🎴 CARDS

• Data Snail will no longer trigger its effect after being destroyed.
  
• Improved effects to indicate that a card can attack.
  
• New versions of the visual effects for Incinerate! and Strength in Numbers.
  

🎮USER EXPERIENCE

• Various improvements to the authentication process, including the translation of certain external pages.
  
• Rewards were no longer correctly displayed on post-combat summary screens.
  
• Some buttons had lost their icons.
  
• A new pass of improvements has been made to better manage disconnections.
  

📱 MOBILE

• It was impossible to correctly view the characteristics of either a card or an ephemeral mutant.

Patch Note - V 0.6.17

⌛️ TIME RIFTS

• After temporarily disappearing from the Time Rifts screen, the tooltips are back.
  
• Cases causing improper loading of the boss should be drastically reduced.
  
• Some translations were missing for certain status effects.
  

🎴 CARDS

• Fixed visual effects for Spoils of War and Imperishable Blaze.
  
• Card backs are no longer invisible.
  
• In combat, when having a hand with many cards, it was impossible to select the leftmost card.
  

👹 MULTIPLAYER BOSS

• Reduced wait time in case of an error at the start of a fight.
  
• Players could get stuck right after the "Waiting for players" banner was displayed.
  

🎮 USER EXPERIENCE

• Improvements to certain screens, including options (synchronization with external accounts), the combat screen, choosing your first deck, and the campaign map.
  

🖹 TEXTS

• Some descriptions did not link to the mentioned mutants.
  
• Various texts were not correctly translated in the options and lobbies, as well as for the Leviathan mutant.
