Once Human Mobile Graphics Optimization Progress Announcement

Dear Metas,

Since the official release across all platforms, we've received extensive feedback from Meta-Humans regarding mobile graphics issues. In response to the recent feedback about graphics quality and frame rates, our technical team has completed the first round of optimizations (no server maintenance required—simply restart the client to apply the updates). Here are the specific adjustments:

[Released Fixes]
1. High frame rate and high graphics settings are now separately adjustable on select mid-to-high-end devices. Optimization for other devices is still ongoing and will be released once ready.
* Note: Enabling both high frame rate and high graphics at the same time may cause overheating or lag. Please adjust settings based on your device's performance. Further optimizations are on the way.
2. Graphics upgrade: Improved rendering effects for certain graphics presets.
3. Significantly improved terrain precision and texture clarity.
4. Enabled image sharpening on certain devices for clearer edges.
5. Resolution adaptation: Improved rendering resolution for large-screen devices.

[Future Optimization Plans]
We are aware of ongoing lag and performance issues. We've created a dedicated task force to address them, and we will share updates as soon as testing is complete.

If you encounter any issues, please contact us through in-game Customer Support. Our team will investigate each case carefully. Thank you for your patience and support. We wish you a smooth journey across Nalcott!

The Ultimate Survival Guide to Nalcott! Save This Like Your Life Depends on It!

The Ultimate Survival Guide to Nalcott! Save This Like Your Life Depends on It!

Welcome to Nalcott! As freshly minted Metas, you're about to venture into a world full of bizarre wonders and lurking dangers. To help you survive and thrive, your guide, Xiaoqi, has crafted a custom survival handbook. Read it well. It will help you immensely!

Make sure to remember the mobile launch time and rally your friends. Your journey is about to begin!

Official Launch Time:
United States:April 23, 5:00 PM (UTC-7)
South America:April 23, 9:00 PM (UTC-3)
Europe:April 24, 12:00 AM (UTC+0)
Southeast Asia:April 24, 8:00 AM (UTC+8)

1.What's a scenario? And which one should I choose?

In Once Human, every server belongs to a specific scenario, each with its own survival theme, gameplay style, and final challenge. There are four scenarios currently available:
Manibus (PvE): Battle pollution and defeat bosses such as the Manibus.
The Way of Winter (PvE): Brave the cold and fight apocalyptic threats such as the Chaosweaver.
Evolution's Call (PvP): Form Warbands and fight over strongholds to become the last team standing.
Prismverse’s Clash (PvP): Join one of two factions, compete over Prism Deviations, and defeat the opposing side.

For new players, we highly recommend starting with the Manibus (Novice) scenario. It's more forgiving and is the perfect place to learn the basics of survival and combat.

Not loving your current scenario? You can use Activity Tokens to redeem a Scenario Exit Card and join a different one. Your in-game assets like cosmetics, Starchrom, blueprints, mods, and weapon accessories are all shared across your account. You can also create new characters to try out other scenarios freely!

2.How do I select a server? What do I do if a server is full?

Each scenario has multiple servers. Most gameplay features are limited to players on the same server, so be sure to coordinate with your friends and join the same one. Pay close attention to the scenario name and server number!

Since Once Human is a large-scale sandbox survival game, each server has a player limit to ensure smooth gameplay. Full servers will be marked in red and won't allow entry. But if your friend sends you a Special Invitation Code (found on character profile screen), you can still join them.
* Special Invitation Codes have limited uses, so don't wait too long to join your friend!

3.Just landed in the game: Where am I?

Once you're in the game, follow the main story tasks to get your bearings. Lost or confused? Summon V and browse its encyclopedia, or open the in-game survival manual—it's packed with tips to guide you through the early game.

4.Lone wolf or team player? Totally up to you. Also, keep the World feature in mind!

Don't worry, solo players, this world won't force you into parties. You can absolutely clear dungeons and thrive as the coolest lone wolf in the apocalypse!

But veterans, don't be shy! Lend a hand to lost newbies—it's said the bonds formed in Nalcott are stronger than any piece of gear!

Trouble finding your team? You're probably in the wrong World. Use a Teleportation Tower to switch Worlds and meet up. Who knows, your dream home or lucky loot spot might be waiting in another World!

5.Those glowing little creatures are actually powerful Deviations!

As you explore Nalcott, you'll come across Deviations. There are three types of them:
Combat Deviations help out in combat,
Territory Deviations quietly grind resources for you,
and Crafting Deviations are your walking formula books.

Psst... we've even put together a full Deviation Collection Guide. Check it out on the official site or in the community and start building your ultimate collection!

6.End-of-the-world survival means one thing—freedom.

In the apocalypse, there are no rules. Build a sky-high Babylon, run a cozy farm in the wasteland, or charge headfirst into chaos as a loot-hungry Deviant slayer—your playstyle is the only law that matters.

So go ahead, let go of the pressure to grind or chase numbers. No daily chores, no leaderboard pressure. Play your way, at your own pace. Say hi to fellow Metas you meet along the way—you never know when a new friendship will bloom in this wild world!

7.No pay-to-win, no whale wars!

Let's say it again: No stat-based purchases! No stat-based purchases! No stat-based purchases!

You can earn a limited amount of Starchrom each month to steadily upgrade your gear rating. No grind pressure, no fear of falling behind if you miss a few days. Unlocked blueprints of the same rarity and type (weapon/armor) can swap ratings freely, allowing you to try out new combat styles with ease.

But in the end, your true edge in Once Human isn't your gear—it's your experience and mastery. Hone your skills and take on the world like a true Meta!

8.Want to start a new scenario? Or keep exploring? Your call.

Each scenario runs in phases, with a fixed duration per phase. After all phases end, the server enters a settlement period and won't launch new phases. At that point, you're free to sign up for a new scenario, or just keep going in the current one.

Once you sign up for a new scenario, you'll head to a new scenario server and start the challenge all over again! Don't worry if you want to keep playing your current scenario. Those servers will remain open and later be merged with others of the same type to keep them active.

You'll still be able to build, explore, and live your best apocalypse life. No time limit, no rush!

9.Cross-platform pay as smooth as butter!

Your mobile and PC accounts are fully synced—characters, items, progress, the whole package!

Whether you're blasting Deviants with a mouse and keyboard, a controller, or touchscreen controls, your data stays fully connected. It's your end-of-the-world adventure—anytime, anywhere, on any device.

10.Eternaland: Your very own post-apocalyptic paradise!

Need a breather from the scenario grind? Welcome to Eternaland, a special, timeless realm just for you!

Here, you can build on a much larger scale and even invite friends over to hang out or host parties. It's your personal, permanent sanctuary in the apocalypse!

11.Devs have gone mad! They're showering players with launch rewards!

No joke, the dev team has emptied their vaults to celebrate the official release. Right out the gate, you'll get tons of cosmetics just by completing easy events. You can even grab 16 top-tier gear blueprints and 11 advanced Deviations for free—no strings attached. It's the ultimate head start, so don't miss it. Go to the in-game events screen to claim your rewards!
