1.90: Get Ready!

[p][/p][p]Indeed, to make your arrival on the Neo Servers more enjoyable, here's what the next update has in store for you:[/p][p]Log in to the game on Tuesday, October 28, to check it all out![/p]

Devblog: Interface 2.1

[p][/p]
Login Tunnel

Loading Screen
[p]The loading screen has been completely redesigned: The "spinning dial" and its iconic sound is no more![/p][p]The transitions are smoother and have a Krosmoz background. An ANKAMA GAMES screen briefly appears when the game is launched.[/p]
Server Selection
[p]The server selection screen has been redesigned and now highlights the incredible artwork of Grihm and Atto. It now includes more detailed information about each server.[/p][p][/p][p]For the Neo Servers, there will be an initial welcome screen prompting you to choose your preferred mode. After that, navigation is split into server tabs to save space.[/p][p]In addition, the server used when creating a character is automatically highlighted. If you have preregistered, you will be taken directly to the correct server.[/p]
Character Selection
[p]Character selection has not changed drastically. However, you can change the size of the selection tiles to choose between a wider and more feature-rich view or a more condensed list that shows more characters.[/p][p]
Character Creation[/p][p]Character creation has changed. A Kiviat diagram (also known as a radar chart or spider chart) indicates the performance of each class in each of the game's main skills:[/p]
  • [p]Damage[/p]
  • [p]Healing[/p]
  • [p]Protection[/p]
  • [p]Support[/p]
  • [p]Positioning[/p]
  • [p]Mobility[/p]
[p]This information is shown when you select a class, and if you hover over another class, its information is brought to the fore so you can compare the two classes.[/p][p][/p][p]The signature spells from each class can be viewed to give you an idea of the class's main strengths. Finally, customization has been redesigned to make it clearer.[/p][p][/p]
Encyclopedia
[p]The inclusion of the Encyclopedia is another big part of Update 1.90. You can use it to look up equipment, resources and monsters. You can use various filters – level, rarity, acquisition, type, territory, etc. – to find loads of useful information about the game! This feature has been highly requested for many years within the community and has now been implemented.[/p][p][/p][p]For each item, you can look at how it's acquired, so you can find out which machine has it, whether it can be crafted, if it's available as loot, from which monsters, and what the drop rate is.[/p][p]For Update 1.90, the Encyclopedia won't be fully complete and some information will be missing, such as spells and professions. We want to make improvements in future updates based on feedback from the community.[/p]
Miscellaneous Improvements
[p]The trade window has been updated to be larger and more aesthetically pleasing[/p][p][/p][p]The new artistic direction also applies to the temporary inventory, which includes new actions: Take all and recycle items, all via a dedicated button or individually via the inventory hammer.[/p][p][/p][p]Not really an interface change, but we wanted to draw attention to it: When positioning at the start of a fight, you can place yourself on new animated cells! Being animated, they are much more visible in all areas of the game. Playtests have shown that new players were having problems with Rii, for example.[/p][p][/p]
Conclusion
[p]There are still lots of things to do to improve the interface, and we're aware that many windows haven't been updated yet: Dungeons, Contact Book, Guild, Ecosystem, and lots more… However, with Update 1.90, we have a comprehensive and consistent approach to the main features of WAKFU.[/p][p]We plan to keep working on the remaining interfaces in the years to come. In the meantime, you can still install a custom theme created by the community.[/p][p]We'd like to take advantage of this Devblog to mention our affiliate creator Ymoka. The theme that Ymoka designed and has been updating for a long time is an excellent extension of our work. It is consistent with the new artistic direction and harmonizes in terms of size and color schemes.[/p][p]Furthermore, the community seems to love it. We have therefore decided to officially adopt his theme in the WAKFU MMO game and preinstall it automatically for all users who join us in the future. This helps players who are starting their adventure to experience a game with a consistent look between all the interfaces. Ymoka has kindly agreed to let us use it, and we want to say a big thank you for that.[/p][p]See you soon for the launch of Update 1.90![/p][p]Siu.[/p]

Preregistration for the Neo Servers Is Open!

[p][/p]
What's a Neo Server?
[p]The Neo Servers are servers where players start the adventure from the very beginning in a world where the rules are different from those of the classic servers. Indeed, you will get up to ~5 times more experience and a +50% drop bonus. These servers will not be alternative versions of existing servers (Ogrest, Pandora and Rubilax) but will contain a special event, called the Neo Raid, which will be available only on these Neo Servers. Plus, there will be lots of rewards to unlock, especially exclusive cosmetics.[/p][p]However, at the end of the event, the Neo Servers will merge with the historical servers they are linked to: Neo Ogrest with Ogrest, Neo Pandora with Pandora and Neo Rubilax with… Rubilax, yes, that's right, you're following along! This means the characters you've used during your Neo Adventure – and the rewards you've acquired along the way – won't be deleted and you'll be able to continue using them on the historical servers![/p][p]For more information about the Neo Servers and the new rules that apply to them, we encourage you to read the article on the topic:[/p][p]Learn More[/p]
How to Preregister
[p]Preregistration is available to let you reserve your nickname and character before registration opens.[/p][p]Preregistration will open on October 14, at 5 p.m.(Paris time) and close on November 4, at 11:59 p.m. (Paris time still).[/p][p]Below are the rules that apply to this preregistration:[/p]
  • [p]Only one character can be preregistered per server type (multi-account and single-account).[/p]
  • [p]When you preregister, you must choose which Neo Server you will play on, as well as your character's nickname, gender and class.[/p]
    • [p]This information can be changed at any time before preregistration ends.[/p]
    • [p]Your character's gender can also be (re)defined when customizing their look.[/p]
    • [p]Once in game, you can change your class as you like up to level 30 by talking to Hooly, the NPC on the Island of Rii.
      [/p]
  • [p]To thank you for preregistering, you will be able to use all the cosmetics already acquired on the matching historical server during your adventure on the Neo Server.[/p]
    • [p]For example, you can use the cosmetics you've acquired on Rubilax on the Neo Rubilax server. However, any cosmetics you acquire on Ogrest or Pandora will not be available to this character on Neo Rubilax.[/p]
    • [p]This advantage is only available to players who preregister and will not be offered otherwise.[/p]
    • [p]The list of cosmetics available will match those saved on your server at the time preregistration ends (November 4 at 11:59 p.m.).[/p]
  • [p]Preregistered accounts will also receive a 12-hour regeneration potion, redeemable only on Neo Servers.[/p]
Oh! Stretch Goals!
[p]And since good news never arrives on its own, this preregistration includes stretch goals. The idea is simple: the more players who preregister, the more free rewards you'll be able to unlock when the Neo Servers launch![/p][p][/p][p]These rewards will be distributed on the Neo Servers once the Neo Servers are open. Each player who preregisters is guaranteed to start the adventure with a big boost.
Tell your friends about preregistration, and everyone will come out a winner![/p]
Opening Soon!
[p]As previously stated, preregistration will end on November 4. The Neo Servers are scheduled to open and your new adventure is scheduled to begin on November 13.[/p][p]However, players who have a Neo Pack will get early access three days before the start (on November 10)! These packs have been created for this very occasion, and each one grants early access to the Neo Servers launch.[/p][p][/p][p]To be completely transparent with you, the early access will allow us to better manage the influx of players and manage the server traffic by dividing the launch into two "waves." A better gaming experience, for you and for us![/p][p]Note: You don't have to have a Neo Pack to preregister or to play on the Neo Servers! These packs are only required for early access to the launch.[/p]
