UNITED 1944 is coming to Early Access on December 12th

UNITED 1944 is coming to Steam Early Access on December 12th! After several public betas, involving thousands of players from all around the world, now, we're geared up for our next leap forward.

Two unique game modes await: Enter Domination, a 16 vs 16 squad-based battle with base building and territorial control, or jump into Survivor mode, which turns you into a lone wolf at the height of WW2 and brings an extraction-based experience to the game. Any way you choose, you’ll be scavenging for resources, fortifying bases, defending outposts, crafting your gear and fighting the enemy in WWII battles that aim to be realistic yet rooted in fun gameplay.

The Early Access of UNITED 1944 will feature three large maps: fight in France, where the push inward of the Allies was at its peak after D-Day, or North Africa, where battles for control of large regions had an important effect in changing the tide of war. And introducing the open French countryside, where they will fight for the control of farms, assault bunkers, defend hilltop fortified positions and open fields, to stop the enemy advance in a completely different setting.


The Early Access launch will also feature new makeshift guns, including a semi-automatic blowback operated pistol for a mid to close range sustained fire, and an automatic submachine gun heavily inspired in the Polish Bechowiec gun with its iconic top slide.

This brings the total content for the December 12th launch to two game modes, three large maps, more than 20 weapons, and more than 40 skills, with more on its way starting in early 2024.

Join the Open Beta! New content and fixes



We're excited to invite you to join us once more in the UNITED 1944 Open Beta this Sunday, December 3rd, from 8:00 PM to midnight CET.

We have an array of new content and improvements ready for you to explore, that we’ll detail below. However, our primary focus is to test the efficiency and reliability of our backend systems. Your participation in this event is important to ensure that everything runs seamlessly and swiftly.

[h3]Survivor fixes[/h3]
Several enhancements have been introduced to the Survivor Game Mode, addressing one of the community's top requests: constructions built by players who have exited the match will now decay and vanish. This improvement aims to maintain the integrity of the gameplay environment. As this beloved mode continues to evolve, it promises an increasingly immersive and fulfilling experience. Gather your squad, venture into the battleground, and have fun!

[h3]Makeshift Pistol[/h3]
A new weapon joins the battlefield! Acknowledging the community's affinity for makeshift weaponry, we're thrilled to expand our arsenal further: introducing the Makeshift Pistol, a semi-automatic blowback-operated firearm, chambered in 9mm. This resourceful weapon is your ally for sustained firepower when resources are scarce.


[h3]Weapon Balancing[/h3]
As each new weapon joins the arsenal, ensuring a balanced gunplay ecosystem remains our priority. We've assessed the performance of pistols, semi-automatic rifles, and toxic grenades to fine-tune their effectiveness.

[h3]Resources[/h3]
Crafting lies at the heart of our distinctive gameplay in UNITED 1944, where resources hold a pivotal role. Incorporating community feedback from previous betas, we've enhanced the design of nearly every crafting resource, including the water bottle, to ensure greater recognition.

[h3]Spanish Localization[/h3]
¡Bienvenidos supervivientes! We've introduced Spanish localization to UNITED 1944, catering to players who have set their OS's default language to Spanish, as well as those who have specifically chosen Spanish through their Steam library properties.

[h3]Quality of life improvements, bug fixes & more[/h3]
We've reviewed usability and interface elements, along with fine-tuning aspects such as brightness, DirectX options, and more. Addressing a curated selection of critical bugs and issues has been our focus, aiming to ensure a consistently solid and seamless gameplay experience with each release.

[h2]FIXES[/h2]
We are very thankful for your feedback, your enthusiasm and your love for the game, through all these betas this support is helping us to deliver the best product possible. As in every release we fixed several features & errors as well introducing some improvements.
  • Improved the whole stability of the backend and server infrastructure.
  • Various fixes and polishes to the animations of characters both in first and third person.
  • Multiple fixes & improvements in the audio system & effects.
  • Improved general performance & stability of the game.
  • Improvements & fixes in the France & Egypt maps.
  • Fixed some bugs related to the outpost kits and their inventory management.
  • Fixed a bug that displayed players in enemy territory after a base was destroyed.
  • Fixed a bug where players can build in enemy territory in matches of Survivors.
  • Fixed multiple bugs where after consecutive uses of the knife the player loses the ability to use it properly.
  • Construction system has been improved and received several fixes.
  • Fixed replication and display errors related to the UI of capturable bases.
  • Fixed a bug where the player can use and throw the same item simultaneously.
  • Fixed various malfunctions of player spawn points in Survivors Game Mode.

Below you'll find the complete patch notes on what new features, improvements and fixes we've made for this beta.

[h3]NEW FEATURES & IMPROVEMENTS[/h3]

  • Africa map receives the game mode SURVIVOR: you can now leave your mark fighting for treasures and glory amongst narrow bazaars & labyrinthic alleys in the north coast of Africa.
  • Nvidia DLSS & AMD FSR: we have added graphic options for proprietary upscaling techniques that should increase the fidelity of the game while maintaining & improving the overall performance.
  • Weapon balancing: we reviewed the performance of Makeshift Shotgun & Bren. Also Medium Machine Guns are now crafted with the same total amount of ammo as Light Machine Guns.


[h3]FIXES[/h3]
Since the last beta we have addressed several bugs that affected the gameplay & dimed the experience. Thanks to your feedback and continuous support we have been able to improve the stability and quality of the game, we aim to deliver in every update our most refined and exciting version of the game.
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to experience delays and lag while opening chests and backpacks in long sessions of gameplay.
  • Fixed an issue where the player view is unable to move and its view its blocked after putting two constructions consecutively in a short period of time
  • Improved performance & stability of the game.
  • Fixed various malfunctions of player spawn points in Survivors Game Mode.
  • Fixed multiple animation bugs that caused players to hold weapons incorrectly or viewing their own model in third person after certain combinations of inputs.
  • Fixed a bug where players with continuous construction activated can not stop building properly after the first root of a structure was deployed.
  • Fixed an inconsistency between the orientation of the user interface compass and the map orientation.
  • Improved the whole stability of the backend and server infrastructure.
  • Various fixes and polishes to the animations of characters both in first and third person.
  • Fixed multiple bugs that affected the UI widgets of Outposts planted by disconnected players after receiving damage .
  • Fixed a bug where makeshift shotgun was not displayed properly in the Loadout menu.
  • Fixed a bug that displayed the area of the loot extraction chest in the maps after being destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue where outposts deployed nearby the limits of the territories captured by enemy outposts incapacitate the correct placement of other structures.
  • Fixed an error where in a match with more than 4 squads in a match, the next one will be called Not Found, after this squad the nomenclature will continue correctly.
  • Improvements & fixes in the France & Egypt maps.
  • Fixed some voice lines that were not reproduced properly.
  • Fixed an issue where players that made players who went downed while reviving an ally appeared wrongly as crouched in first person after being revived.

Open Beta means no strings attached – everyone is welcome! There's no need for admission, just head over to the UNITED 1944 Steam page, request access, and download the Beta. If you already have UNITED 1944 Beta in your Steam library, just update it.

This Beta version is the same one that was showcased during Steam Next Fest, but with some bug fixes we've implemented since then. You'll have the opportunity to dive into both Domination in North Africa and France, as well as the intense Survivors mode on the France map.

If you can’t participate in this Beta don’t worry, as there’ll be more coming really soon!
