A PEEK INTO THE UPCOMING HYPERSPACE CAMPAIGN MODE

Welcome back, PhaigeX employees.
Rest assured that the people here at Development are working non-stop on an upcoming new game mode, the Hyperspace Campaign!

...but you might be wondering, what is this game mode?
What Hyperspace Mode is About
In Hyperspace Campaign mode, the player is going to be given the role of a Confiner, to keep the incoming AI threat under control within the vast outer space. It is a roguelike game mode where the Confiner warps into different space sectors, and deal with the events that they encounter on that area, whether good or bad they may be.

The events may vary, not only from the previous Survival, Fleet Assault and Demolition modes, but also new encounters like escort missions, disarming enemy tech, gathering allies, dealing with merchants and resupply stations... and more! We could use some more ideas and suggestions for event encounters, to keep things fresh.

In this game mode, the ships you use will always start on its base stats (customized stats and modifiers are disabled, but skins are allowed to be equipped). The Experience Leveling system is disabled in this mode, so the path of growing stronger lies on the events and their rewards, and the occasional powerup drops from enemies (Power Up drop rates are adjusted too). The choices you make in this campaign will result in consequences down the line, so choose your actions wisely.

Once the event objective is resolved, you can immediately warp out and proceed to the next sector. In the event of a defeat, it is still possible to warp back to the last progress point, provided that the player has Warp Cores to spend.
Game Mode Progress, and Possible Plans
Currently, the Hyperspace Campaign mode is still under development. The events are functional, with more bugs here and there. As for the end game encounters, they're still up on the table.

We are still on the drawing board about how to navigate the campaign from this direction, so please keep an eye out for updates! We want to hear your encounter ideas too!

Towards a brighter future,

The PhaigeX MegaCorp.
