DREAMWILD Patch Notes for December 1st, 2022

Here's another neat little patch, comin' right at ya!

Changes:
  • New Megastructures now appear in Carstinella
  • Footstep sound effects have been added (these are togglable in the settings)
  • New alternative mushroom pathway to the top of the Obelisk in the Deepest Dream has been added
  • Potion mode change has been rebinded to middle mouse button
  • Mouse scroll wheel can now be used to jump
  • New starting podium added to tutorial
  • Certain heavy enemies now drop Green Gubbins, which are worth 1 HP and 2 Gubbins
  • Enemies now turn faded in color when they die to help avoid confusion between live and dead enemies
  • Rerendered cutscenes with Goutha to use her new model
  • Fixed problem where Fading Club logo was off center at startup
  • Fixed bug where Mushrooms would apply bounce physics multiple times per frame, launching the player into the stratosphere
  • Fixed bug where player could take grapple hook out of Tutorial via home portal
  • Epilepsy Warning is now more brief and controlled by player input rather than by a timer

DREAMWILD Patch Notes for November 29th, 2022

This patch brings a few new features as well as a few fixes and improvements.
Let's go!

[h3]Gubbin Bank[/h3]

The Gubbin bank is a new machine found in Cutie's Abode! You may store gubbins within it for later.
Using this machine, players will be able to pass Gubbins between playthroughs!

[h3]Other Changes:[/h3]
  • New area added to Tutorial for practicing Surfing
  • DreamWeaver's Arena now has cleaner edges and no longer relies on needless random generation
  • Healing pool now has neat visual effects
  • Added Home Portal and explanation of portal types to Tutorial area
  • Caught Fish now give 5 HP and 5 Gubbins, rather than 1 of each
  • Caught Fish now have larger hitboxes, to make them easier to pick up
  • Player can now go fishing during the final boss fight
  • Fixed bug where a player dropping the Grappling Hook mid-hook would become permanently stuck
  • Fixed bug where a fishing rod's line would remain floating mid-air if the Rod was dropped

DREAMWILD Patch Notes for November 21st, 2022

This is a small patch with a couple little changes to help here and there.

Changes:
  • "Practice" has been changed to "Tutorial" on the main menu
  • A gallery of enemies from the first level has been added to the Tutorial Area
  • Tutorial Signs have been made bigger to be easier to see
  • Goutha now has Furniture
  • Level portals have been doubled in size and slightly redesigned to be easier to enter


I hope these changes will help the experience feel smoother and more fun for players!

DREAMWILD Patch Notes for November 19th, 2022

Here's a brand new patch coming right at ya! This patch should bring some nice QOL changes and some other neat stuff.

Changes:
  • Home portals now emit beacons of light to make them easier to find
  • Enemies in later levels now drop Blue Gubbins, which are worth two Gubbins and heal 2 HP
  • Increased score from later enemies
  • Gubbins now move faster towards the player
  • Gubbins will now stop glowing and emitting particles when collected
  • NPC Dialogue is now controlled by player input rather than by a timer, this should make dialogue easier to read and less tedious to get through
  • Final Portal now has a Key Counter to keep track of the keys you have collected
  • Fixed certain Skyboxes having visible seams
  • The Final boss now has slightly adaptive health to make the fight less of a pushover at max stats
  • Fixed problem causing the player to still be vulnerable to damage after defeating the Final Boss
  • "Friends in a Strange Place" now plays in its intended area of the castle
