DREAMWILD Patch Notes for August 27th, 2023

This is a very small patch to change a problem I had with the new additions in the August 25th patch.

  • Moved new castle room to a different spot to avoid tedium when going to the shop
  • Added new details to the main DreamWild portal room

DREAMWILD Patch Notes for August 25th, 2023

This is a tiny patch with a handful of Quality of Life changes to DreamWild!

Changes:
  • Added FOV Slider to Options Menu
  • Added Toggle for Dynamic FOV to Options Menu
  • New room and door added to Castle. Where could this lead? Only time will tell.
  • Changed some incorrect sound levels in a few areas


I hope this will help make DreamWild a more fun game to play in the long run!

[h3]On the topic of Auto Jump and Auto Swing[/h3]
Many people have asked for the option of Auto Jump and Auto Swing to be added to the game.
Unfortunately, in testing, I have felt that these deeply change the gameplay of DreamWild.
The bunnyhop system in DreamWild is very forgiving, with speed being added the closer a player is to a perfectly timed hop. However, with Autojump, the player receives a perfect jump every time, which leads to the player moving extremely fast on a dime, not allowing any enemies to catch up.
Autoswing on the other hand, takes away from my intended use of the sword, making it into a constant spout of attacks, rather than a precision weapon. Both of these severely hurt the challenge of the game in my experience.
However, if players feel that these would be worthwhile inclusions even so, I will take them into consideration once again. Thank you for your consideration!

[h3]Future DreamWild Content[/h3]
New Content for DreamWild is still in development! I don't have any cool images to show off to you today, but I hope that you will look forward to new Dream Wilds to explore, new secondary and primary weapons to use, and new insane enemies to face off against!

DREAMWILD Patch Notes for March 13th, 2023

This is a small patch that brings a handful of quality of life changes and bugfixes to DREAMWILD.
Changes:
  • Added "Withdraw 10" and "Deposite 10" Buttons to Gubbin Bank, to make large orders easier
  • Gubbins now magnetize to the player when close, making them much easier to pick up
  • Fixed bug where Enemies would keep searching for the player after either they or the player had died
  • Fixed bug where shadow enemy would cut itself off with its own explosion
  • Miscellaneous Particle optimizations

DREAMWILD Patch Notes for January 11th, 2023

This is a fairly small patch which should bring some nice little features and fixes to DREAMWILD

Changes:
  • Added new Temporary Save System. If you quit from the pause menu, you will be able to resume your run later. Saved runs are lost on death.
  • Rewritten tutorial on Bunnyhopping to be more clear
  • Bunnyhopping tutorial now features small video example
  • Home portals in the Sunken Grounds now stand upright, making them easier to get into
  • Fixed bug with Fishing Pole causing it to get stuck in the 'reeling' animation
  • Fixed bug with Grappling Hook causing it to hold the player in place even when no hooks are present
  • Fishing Pole UI now more visible
  • Fishing Pole Lure now puts out a green circle to show the safe zone of movement while fishing
