Albatroz - Patch #5

We’re excited to bring you the latest update for Albatroz, Patch #5, now live on Steam. This update includes a range of new additions and enhancements to improve your experience as you navigate the challenging terrain of the Forbidden Lands.

In this patch, we've added more comprehensive tutorials to help players better understand the mechanics. We’ve also fixed save issues in Scene 13 and reduced the distance between checkpoints on the Death Road in the snow area. Additionally, we’ve made various fixes to improve the overall gameplay experience.

  • Added more tutorials to remind players that colder conditions increase hunger consumption, while warmer conditions increase thirst.
  • Introduced additional tutorials to better explain game systems.
  • Fixed a critical issue in the coastal region where players couldn't progress if they missed the Serpi camp.
  • Added a secondary collision layer during region transitions to support slower hard drives, ensuring smoother level loading.
  • Corrected a bug where the interactable Carranca in Lago Village showed Isla’s name during conversations, even though it was Sence speaking.
  • Resolved an issue where fireflies in Scene 15 (inside the hole) would stop glowing.
  • Fixed a bug in Scene 15 where Isla would remain in her pajamas for the rest of the game if the player didn’t change her clothes.
  • Enhanced the mountains in the coastal region for a more natural look and to prevent boundary-breaking.
  • Improved the shadow-chasing sequence in Scene 3.
  • Fixed collision issues that could trap players.
  • Increased the chance of clear weather in Lago Village.
  • Adjusted text on signs to prevent it from overflowing outside the signs.
  • Fixed a save game issue in Scene 13 that allowed players to remain in first-person view even outside houses.
  • Resolved a bug where a floating Sence would appear during the planning phase.
  • Fixed an issue in Scene 14 where both a duplicated Sence and Serpi could appear inside the temple.
  • Increased the chances of clear weather in Scene 6.
  • Improved tutorial prompts to appear at more appropriate moments.
  • Ensured the weather clears up when using the telescope at Gelya’s house.
  • Adjusted the TP gain sound to a lower, more balanced level.
  • Fixed missing collisions on rocks in the coastal region.
  • Improved the start of the trail into the Mist Lands in Scene 12, making it easier to locate.
  • Shortened the checkpoint distance on the Death Road in the snow region.
  • Resolved floating pyramid issues in the coastal region.
  • Implemented numerous minor fixes and general polish throughout the game.

The weekend is almost here, but before you kick back, we've got some exciting news for our Albatroz PC players. The latest update, Patch #4, is now live on Steam! This update brings a host of enhancements, tweaks, and fixes designed to make your journey through the Forbidden Lands smoother and more manageable.

  • Fixed an issue where the player would turn transparent while sleeping.
  • Corrected the "Point of No Return" message, which was not appearing when exiting the Forbidden Lands.
  • Enhanced the Forbidden Lands level with improved visuals and gameplay adjustments.
  • Improved the dynamic weather transitions in the Forbidden Lands. The weather will be more clear on this region.
  • Increased the difficulty of the trail "Path Till the Hole" in Scene 14 (Forest).
  • Fixed an issue where the player continued losing health during the transition questions between biomes.
  • Added gasoline in the coastal region before the tides sequence to aid progression.
  • Fixed an issue where two sences appeared during the Scene 8 sequence with the Forbidden Lands Gatekeeper.
  • Enhanced the "Goodbye El Condor" sequence in Scene 7, refining the farewell moment with Isla and Sence.
  • Fixed a bug in Scene 9 where Isla could be duplicated if the player tried to sleep at a camp while her ankle was injured near the fire.
  • Toned down the intensity of Gelya's voice in dialogue to make it less exaggerated.
  • Fixed an issue where the screen would fade out after death but fail to fade back in.
  • Resolved a bug where the low-health effect sometimes wouldn't dissipate after recovery.
  • Fixed an issue where the game occasionally failed to register death, making the player immortal.
  • Corrected the "Point of No Return" message, which was not appearing when exiting the Forgotten valley.
  • Various minor fixes, polishments and quality of life improvements.
  • Fixed a critical issue where sometimes the blocker would fail to block the player, making it possible to break game levels and events.

Patch 3 - PC

- Fixed an issue where, sometimes after scene 2, the player would be teleported back to scene 1.

- Fixed an issue where talking with the Forbidden Lands guardian would spawn a sequence with Sence in the party, even if she hadn’t joined the party yet.

- Improved the "blocker" when hitting it with the car. The blocker is the tool that teleports you back to the road. Now the car should be placed in the correct position without causing a collision break.

-Improved the death road in the ice mountain scenery.

- Improved the death road in the ice mountain area to prevent it from "locking" the player.

- Fixed an issue in the ice region where two music tracks could play at the same time.

-Increased the chances of clear weather in the mountains.

- Decreased the difficulty of scene 18 (the chase).

- Fixed an issue in scene 18 where the chase would never start.

- Improved the overall chase experience in scene 18 by smoothing the level.

- Fixed a bug where, if the player threw the car into a hole or lake and exited in mid-air, they would lose input control if trying to enter the vehicle afterward.

- Fixed a bug where the character would appear to be flying after loading the game and would only land on the ground after a delay, restoring player control.

- Increased the distance required to be defeated during the chase in Scene 18.

- Fixed an issue in Scene 14 where background music was playing incorrectly.

- Improved collision handling when descending into the hole in Scene 14.
Fixed an issue in Scene 15 where the monster sequence could play multiple times.

- Adjusted the likelihood of "partially cloudy" weather in Scene 18 (the chase) to improve visibility.

- Added additional explanation about Serpi’s protection skill.

- Added further details on how resting restores health and revives characters.
Enhanced events and level design in Scene 3 when the player is chasing the shadow.

- Added extra collisions in Scene 12 to prevent the player from falling into the lake when teleporting to the bridge.

- Improved level design and events in Scene 13 for better communication and flow.

- Fixed a bug in Scene 14 where going into the hole would reload Scene 13, causing the Loiji sequence to play again.

- Fixed an issue in Scene 15 where unintended rain or snow could appear in the Nameless Realm.

- In Scene 15, all magazines and books were changed to white to avoid confusion with a specific magazine.

- Fixed a bug in Scene 9 where, when Isla hurt her feet, if the player returned to the car, there would be two Islas in the party.

- Decreased the time the flashback reward stays on screen.

- Fixed a bug where the player could sleep while the monster appeared in Scene 3.
