Ruza OST and Patches

Hello!

A short update regarding the soundtrack and released patch!

All of the songs are now uploaded to the channel! I exported everything in 32-bit Wav format, then converted to 256 kbps AAC, the highest possible audio quality available on Youtube. Also, all the songs are neatly organized into a playlist here:

[h3]Patch Notes[/h3]

While working on the OST, I have published a small patch a few days ago that fixed the following:
  • Fixed a bunch of dialogue and menu typos
  • Fixed a buggy map transition from the waterfall path map to the river map
  • Added instructions how to use the TV room when first starting the game
  • Fixed options menu bug where the contrast setting wasn't displaying values correctly

Now that the OST is uploaded and some quick hotfixes applied, I will continue work on the combat system and Chapter 2. Thanks to all the feedback in the last two weeks, I have compiled a list of requests/wishes/suggestions that I will also try to implement as soon as possible. Expect a lot more patches and updates in the coming weeks and months until Chapter 2.

Development - Post Launch Roadmap

Hello!

Now that Ruza has been released, I want to share a brief roadmap and the milestones I'm working towards.

Upcoming patches


Thanks to player feedback, I'm working to improve on a few areas in the game. The following is a list of fixes, ranging from easily solvable to the ones that will required a bit more time:
  • Fix known dialogue and menu typos
  • Explain the TV room controls more clearly
  • Append some text in the combat tutorials
  • Address the combat RNG
  • Tweak and/or change some combat mechanics

If you found some gameplay elements to be frustrating or simply not fun, please by all means post a new topic in the Ruza community hub. Even a sentence or two on what you found fun or not fun will help me a lot with tailoring the combat system and other gameplay elements to be more enjoyable.

Chapter 2 Development


As some of you already know, when you move your party to the Mushroom Cliffs, you are returned to the "TV room". This means you have successfully completed the first chapter and the game will make a special save file to be loaded when the second chapter is ready. A lot of assets for the second chapter have already been created, but there is a long road still ahead. My goal is to finish it around this time in 2023.


Conclusion


The release was just the beginning, I have lots of content planned for the future and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all as soon as possible.
