Patch 0.21: English Civ

[h2]New Civilization: English[/h2]
[h3]Wonder[/h3]
  • Cambridge University: +1 Age Wisdom level for Renaissance and ages after
  • East India Company: This wonder accumulates the total value of your completed player trade transactions. For every 2,000 trade value, all buildings adjacent to caravansaries get a +1 Production Multiplier for 1 cycle. A trade transaction counts when you either fulfill another player's trade request or when your own trade request is fulfilled. Multiple boosts stack by extending the duration
  • British Museum: After constructed, can transform into to a unique wonder from other civilizations
  • Tower Bridge: After constructed, a great person from unlocked age is born every 3600 cycles (1h game time)

  • Cerne Abbas Giant: A great person of the current age is born when a wonder is constructed

[h3]Unique Great People[/h3]
  • Thomas Gresham: +2 Production Multiplier, Storage Multiplier for Bond Market

[h3]Festival[/h3]
  • Guy Fawkes Night: East India Company provides +2 Production Multiplier to buildings adjacent to caravansaries. Tower Bridge generates great people 20% faster

[h3]Achievement[/h3]
  • Three Lions: Rebirth with at least 1 Extra Great Person when playing English (Reach 64M Empire Value when rebirth)

  • Resource Bar has been revamped: it is more condensed and added features to change Warp Speed and Festival

[h2]Bugfix[/h2]
  • Fix a bug where wonders that can be upgraded will have a one tick black out when upgrade complete
  • Fix a bug where the chart in Statistics Building sometimes overflows the layout
  • Add an option to turn off "Trade Filled" sound effect
  • Make the layout of Statistics Office more condensed so that it can show more data on mobile
  • Fix a bug where sometimes cross-platform saves fails to download save from the cloud

  • Fix a bug where Year of the Snake is not effective when being upgraded

Patch 0.20: Priority Reworked + Lunar New Year

[h2]Priority Reworked[/h2]
The game's priority system used to work as follows: for 3 buildings A, B, C, if the priority is A > B > C, the order is:

  1. Building A transports
  2. Building A produces
  3. Building B transports
  4. Building B produces
  5. Building C transports
  6. Building C produces

This makes sense at the first glance. However, it has some consequences. Most notably, if Building C requires a resource that Building B produces, then the resources that B produces will go straight to building C, which has the lowest priority. After this patch, the order is now:

  1. Building A transports
  2. Building B transports
  3. Building C transports
  4. Building A produces
  5. Building B produces
  6. Building C produces

With this change, the problem above should no longer be the case.

[h2]Lunar New Year[/h2]
Year of the Snake: After completed, when entering a new age, instead of getting one great person of each unlocked age, get the same amount of great people in the current age. All buildings within 2-tile range get +1 Production Multiplier. This wonder can be upgraded and each additional upgrade provides +1 Production Multiplier to buidlings within 2-tile range. This wonder can only be constructed during the lunar new year period (1.20 ~ 2.10)

[h2]Offline Production Tweak[/h2]
Offline Production has been changed in this patch. Now you will get 4h of warp storage without Petra and you can do 2x speed. Petra will add additional warp storage (1h for 1 level, same as before) and unlock 16x warp speed. You can set warp speed in your Home Building and Petra. To adjust the split of offline production and time warp, you can go to Options -> Gameplay

[h2]Cross Platform Cloud Save (Beta)[/h2]
Cross Platform Cloud Save allows you to sync your progress from Steam to mobile devices. It is currently in beta and if you are interested in testing this, join our Discord channel and ping @fishpond

[h2]Other Changes[/h2]
  • Allow setting a different font scale / panel width setting for mobile
  • Add cache for great people images - this should speed up when great people images are first generated

Patch 0.19: Account Ranks and Holiday Special

First of all, it's time to nominate Steam Awards. If you enjoy the game, you can help by nominating "Sit Back and Relax Award". This patch brings holiday special content and adds support for the remaining account ranks. I wish everyone a happy holiday.

[h2]Holiday Special[/h2]
  • Santa Claus Village: When completed, a great person of the current age is born. This wonder can be upgraded and each additional upgrade provides an extra great person. When choosing great people from this wonder, 4 choices are provided. This wonder can only be constructed in December
  • Lapland: When discovered, reveal the whole map. All buildings within 2-tile range get +N Production Multiplier, N = number of unlocked ages. This natural wonder can only be discovered in December
  • Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree: +3 Happiness for each unlocked age. This natural wonder can only be discovered in December


[h2]Account Ranks[/h2]
Aedile, Praetor and Consul ranks have been added. See the requirement and perks as follows:



Upgrading to Aedile, Praetor and Consul will carry over all your progress. There should not be any disruptions. If you have fulfilled the requirement, you can skip ranks (i.e. from Quaestor to Praetor directly). However, you have to be Quaestor first before upgrading to higher ranks.



[h2]House Keeping[/h2]
Since 0.18, city is renamed to "civilization". I plan to do some cleanups in the following patches. In 0,19, several American buildings have been renamed - apart from visual/name, the functions have not changed
  • The Home Building of American is renamed to "The White House"
  • Shenandoah is renamed to "Grand Canyon"
  • The Met is renamed to "The Pentagon"
